First of all, Red has been confirmed in the game, and will have Pokemon in the low to mid eighties. He will be available after you have beaten the other 16 gym-leaders, which also will be listed on your trainer cards. Once you have beaten first eight gym leaders, the elite four, the second eight gym leaders, and Red, the elite four will get considerably stronger. You will also be able to receive one of the Kanto starters from Professor Oak in Pallet Town, and one of the Hoenn Starters from Steven Stone (the Red-equivilent in Emerald) in Celadon City. Next up, it has been confirmed that the three legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, will indeed be available, as will Mewtwo in the Cerulean cave. Additionally, both Ho-Oh and Lugia will be available in either copy. Other legendaries, confirmed before, are Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, as well as the three legendary dogs. Also on the list, you will be able to fight in a double battle against Claire and Lance later in the game, as with other things. Other news of interest, you will get the national dex at the Olivine Harbor, Viridian Forest is in its full glory, the trainer house in Viridian City returns, and Pal Park will now replace the Safari Zone in Fuschia. Finally, there will be some interesting changes in the storyline throughout the game. I'll leave them up in the air for now, though, as to not spoil things. If you'd like, see Serebii.net's full coverage. |

Pokemon HeartGold / SoulSilver Areas and Pictures First of all, a lot of areas that existed in Platinum, including the Battle Frontier and the Global Trade Station, will be returning. The Global Trade Station's location is current unknown, however is assumed to take place near Goldenrod's Pokemon Center. Similarly, the Battle Frontier will exist where the battle tower did in Crystal - east of Olivine. Also learned is three new Pokethlon events, Break Block, Change Relay, and Push Circle. A first for any Pokemon game, you can also now change the order that the unique safari zone areas will appear in. This gives you the possibility to more quickly access different areas. In addition to this, several different Pictures of the games have been released. These pictures are being added to our screenshots section, here, however not all of them will show up as of this writing. Pokemon HeartGold / SoulSilver Possible Release Date A few weeks ago we announced that Amazon may have leaked the release date of the games to be to be December 31st. Back then we said we were incredibly skeptical. Now, Gamestop has posted a different release, April 1st, 2010. Mystery Dungeon 2: Sky Release Date The Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of the Sky release date is now known for both America and Europe. In America, is is known to be the 12th of October, or about a month and a half away. In Europe, it is thought to be the 13th of November, a month after America. |
