Mt. Ember
![]() |
Now that you're inside Mt. Ember and you have HM06 Rock Smash, it's now time to catch Moltres! Be sure to talk to the move tutor inside Mt. Ember if you want to teach one of your Pokemon Explosion. Note: You can only reach Moltres after you have chased away the Bike Gangs from the Sevii Islands. |
![]() |
Start by going to the left and pushing the boulders away using Strength. Follow the path and smash the rocks in your way. Soon you'll see three sets of stairs. Take the left or center stairs and go left. Fight the trainer, and go into the entrance straight ahead. There's only one way to go in here, so it's pretty easy to navigate. Once you get out, take the stairs up. Head to the left for a hidden Fire Stone in a boulder below the stairs. On the right side another Fire Stone can be acquired by solving the simple boulder puzzle. With both Fire Stones in hand, head upstairs again to face another puzzle. This one a bit more complex than the previous puzzle, but it shouldn't give you that much trouble. After solving the puzzle, you'll be able to face Moltres. |
![]() |
Congratulations, you've finally made it to Moltres! Moltres will be at level 50 and will know the moves Fire Spin, Flamethrower, Endure, and Agility. Please make sure that you have plenty of Ultra Balls and Potions as Moltres is especially tough to catch. Try inducing it with a status condition, such as Sleep, to better your chances. |

Treasure Beach

[ CLICK THE MAP FOR FULL IMAGE ]
Before leaving One Island, surf to the south of the pier in One Island Town to reach Treasure Beach. At first glance there isn't much to do here except fight a trainer. However, if you use the Itemfinder you'll be able to find the following items: Ultra Ball, Pearl, Big Pearl, and Stardust. In addition, by revisiting the area later in the game, it is possible to find more of the above mentioned items.
Fly back to the island's Pokemon Center, and head south to reach the dock where you first arrived on the island. Board the the ferry and take it to your next destination, Two Island.
