Well, since a few people liked this in the Competition Discussion [highly recommended] I'd thought I'd try it out, and give those that are interested a friendly heads-up.
Starting mid-September, there will be an art contest held each month with a theme. The one that draws something best suited for the theme will win a prize. Could be an egg... Or a rare Pokemon... Or even our beloved Kaboom's old underwear (for the fangirls). ![]() Since this is a test, there will be no prizes, just ideas on improvement. I'd like for there to be several divisions in it, like sketch, computer-drawing pad, hand-drawn... but I can't be throwing out eggs like that. (At least I don't think.) Anyway, I think good old hand-drawn, colored will be fine for now. And now, the first ever Art Contest theme.... test:: SINGLED OUT! Draw a single Pokemon doing anything. ![]() Last edited by Akai; 08-13-2008 at 12:29 PM. |

Question; Do we have to color it? Because drawing this pokemon is difficult enough for me.

For now, no. But in the real contest, yes.

Couldn't I only enter the Sketch? Because I might be able to color it... But it would make it look bad...(with my coloring skills it would)

There is no Sketch. I want one type, so there can be one prize. If I had several categories, and most of them had one entry, that person would have one by default, and that's not really fair.

OK, then. I guess I'll have to learn how to color.
My left hand on my pokemon is turning out right! But other then that, it's going great! EDIT: Is it ok, that I use a referance picture, as long as I don't trace? (At least for the test round?)

Yeah. That's fine. I just want a good response. This is just a heads up.

Entry
This is one of my first sketches and my second fully completed sketch. I hope I did well! Sorry for the bad quality, and the fact they're huge... ![]()

True, but I like his pose. That's why I chose him. Besides the fact you hate him, how did I do? Or do I have to wait till Judging, (If anyone else enters)?
