According to Junichi Masuda's blog, there will be a Pokemon Tournament event called the "Pokemon Video Game Showdown." Japanese Trainers have already been selected, and now it's time for the American Trainers to make their debut!

Trainers in Los Angeles, California compete on July 12 and Trainers in New York, New York compete on July 19. Once these two dates have passed, the finals will be held in Orlando, Florida on August 15.
