Alright, I do believe that many people are well aware of the suckish eternal battery in these earlier games. You know, the eternal battery that eventually dies and stops you from saving in general.
However, some people are not aware of this yet because it hasn't happened to them as of yet. Why? I dunno. Some batteries last a little longer than others.
So, has this happened to you yet?
It's happened to me on my Red, Silver, Crystal, Yellow, and a few other non-related games.
Now, the big question...
Have you fixed the eternal battery yet? <==Notice larger font!
I haven't. :/ I've read multiple guides on how to fix the battery, but I know right now that my dad won't fix and and I'm surely not touching a hot soldering iron!!!
I can't say for sure at the moment, but as of about a month ago when I put my games in the attic (I always play the old pokemon games using an emulator now), my Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Gold, and Pokemon Silver games all worked fine. In addition to that, the Internal Clock in both of my Second Gen games, which I believe tend to go bad after 6 years were fine.

ZamFights Beta should come around Christmas, now.
Spoiler Alert:ZamFights Progress
Summary
ZamFights, a Pokemon Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, developed by Pokezam's Webmaster Freezewarp, continues its development into Alpha 7, where you can trade Pokemon with a global trade station like feature and battle other trainers. Several bugs were also fixed.
Alpha 9, now in development, will feature numerous events and locations to go to, that is up to Fuschia. It will also feature the new, interactive map, numerous minor features, and an altered look.
Alpha 9 should come around Thanksgiving, and Alpha 10, or the public Beta, should come around Christmas.
Alpha 8 Preview
I actually like the idea of a sixth generation Pokemon Emerald remix; few people think of the possibilities that one game has in full, colorful, barely pixaleted 3-D (in other words, think of a Play Station 2 or Xbox Original). The existing 3D we have with the DS is good, but the next generation of handheld consoles should give much more detail to the game - imagine being able to change your perspective to look into the sky while the stormcloud is slowly stretching across the region once Kyogre and Groudon have both been awoken. Imagine seeing the sky tower, and a green tail, to the left, and mirages to the right. For that matter, think of Mirage Island!
There are so many other moments for which we could experience in perspective-3D Pokemon Emerald; the battle frontier is one example, but just seeing the sun rise and set as the time passes in Dewford city would be awesome. Of course, my dreams may be more than one generation away; are there any Wii games that even would make this real?

My Yellow version is alright. My Red and Blue are lost, but I'm willing to bet they're have the battery problem too, if I found them and tried to play them. My Silver's messed up, and my Gold and Crystal are like Red and Blue. :P How do you fix them? I want my Silver back. >.<

No, and my Gold and Silver already died a few years ago and all my data was erased. Its a bummer for my Silver it was my pride. All my best pokemon and stats were on that game. I had not known about the internal battery yet. It had happened to my Gold first when I returned from seeing my BFF at her college. I emailed my expert guy friend to ask what was wrong and that's when I found out.
Crystal and my first generation games are still working fine. Although I have concerns about my blue once in a while. My guy friend says Gold and Silver have the weakest batteries.
So its the eternal battery
All the data of my Gold and Silver was gone and I didn't know how or why, I just thought it was broke.
But now I know that it is the eternal battery that died.
My gold was the first pokemon game that ever I played and with my silver I had a shiny kingler (first and only shiny I ever got).
My crystal is still fine thought.
I would be nice to know how to fix them.
I know all of my three copies of Gold died, Silver died and Red died. I gave Blue, Yellow and one copy of Crystal to my girlfriend for her birthday, and she hasn't said anything about them dying.
Also, my Dragon Warrior III is still living, but I'm afraid it'll die soon. v_v

My Red, blue and Yellow are ok although my blue did give me a scare once. I had started a new game. I on my way either to or from getting Oaks Parcel. I think it was from. I got into a wild battle with a pidgey on the way, and beat it with my squirtle. Then right when it learned bubble the picture faded and the game went out. At first I thought it was my gameboy but it I had just charged it and it was still on when it happened.
I started another new file and it hasn't done it since. But I am worried it was the first step of it going out completely. And I actually really like my current game on it.
