Does anyone own the Mario Kart games? Most Nintendo systems have one, each different. There is one for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, and soon to be the Wii. I have played the Gameboy Advance and Nintendo 64, and own the Nintendo Dual Screen version.
In the earlier games each character had fewer stats, where in the DS and I think Gamecube versions, there were all kinds of stats for each cart including Speed, Control, Acceleration, Items (how good of items you get), and Weight. The general formula for the games is to have 8 characters from the start and to unlock more as time goes on. Each character has a few carts to choose from, more of which can be unlocked when completing stages. Typically there are 50cc (easy), 100cc (medium), and 150cc (hard) player sets, each of which include 4 levels of courses (easy, medium, hard, really hard) all having 4 courses. In the DS, there was a second set of courses easy-really hard, all of which are courses from the SNES, N64, GBA, and Gamecube Games. So, does anyone own these games, and do you like them?

I actually like the idea of a sixth generation Pokemon Emerald remix; few people think of the possibilities that one game has in full, colorful, barely pixaleted 3-D (in other words, think of a Play Station 2 or Xbox Original). The existing 3D we have with the DS is good, but the next generation of handheld consoles should give much more detail to the game - imagine being able to change your perspective to look into the sky while the stormcloud is slowly stretching across the region once Kyogre and Groudon have both been awoken. Imagine seeing the sky tower, and a green tail, to the left, and mirages to the right. For that matter, think of Mirage Island! There are so many other moments for which we could experience in perspective-3D Pokemon Emerald; the battle frontier is one example, but just seeing the sun rise and set as the time passes in Dewford city would be awesome. Of course, my dreams may be more than one generation away; are there any Wii games that even would make this real? |

I have SNES, Nintendo 64, and Wii. I had the DS game though I gave it to a friend. I have completed them all and my favorite I'd say was Mario Kart 64, with the Wii being a close second. I enjoy the challenge of all the games, although I admit in the DS and Wii games, it can be a tad annoying considering everything that's thrown at you. Getting all the gold trophies is not difficult though trying to get a rank of three stars on each circuit is near impossible.

I've gotten all the gold trophies in my DS game, but I haven't done better than a star. Do you like the mini-challenges? Where you try to complete things like running the the rings in order or getting all the coins.

I did well in the missions and completed them all with three stars though it was not without a lot of trouble and there was no real reward with it other than bragging rights.

I have the ds and gamecube mariokarts and I plan to get the wii Mariokart. On the ds I've pretty done everything except get three stars in every cup. In the gamecube version however I'm terrible. I can't even beat 100cc

I preordered! and we is about to have a Mario Kart Wii Tourney some time after it's release back in my home site! No longer is it only 8 people--now 12 people race at a time; and that goes for battle mode too!

Birdo, Baby Luigi, Baby Daisy, Toadette, Koopa is back (if you recall from the original MK), Diddy Kong, and Funky Kong are just some of the characters I can recall.
