Here is a variety of software that can be very useful.
Pidgin For: Synchronizing Multiple IM Clients Useful?: Very Detailed Description: Pidgin is an all in one IM client. From this one window you can send and receive messages from various IM clients, such as Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, and several others. Downloads: Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, Source Skype For: An Internet phone. Useful?: Fairly, though not for people who don't want to pay phone bills. Detailed Description: Skype acts as both an IM client and phone. You can call other skype accounts for free, or call mobile and land line phones for a few cents a minute. Downloads: Windows, Mac, Linux, Windows Mobile IZArc For: Compressing/Uncompressing Files Useful?: Very Detailed Description: Can Compress or Uncompress almost any file type. Windows can only uncompress and compress the .zip type, this can do 100 times that! Download: Windows Google Pack For: All kinds of things Useful?: Very Detailed Description: All kinds of software can be downloaded, you can choose what to download, it downloads it Firefox For: Web Browsing Useful?: Very Description: Firefox is what many think is by far the best browser around. Much more secure than Internet Explorer, and you have a world of addons to customize it like you want. Download: Windows, Linux, Mac Blender For: 3D Animation Download: Windows (32 Bit), Windows (64 Bit), Mac (Power PC), Mac (Intel), Linux (32 Bit), Linux (64 Bit) NotePad++ For: Text Editing Download: Windows, Source

I actually like the idea of a sixth generation Pokemon Emerald remix; few people think of the possibilities that one game has in full, colorful, barely pixaleted 3-D (in other words, think of a Play Station 2 or Xbox Original). The existing 3D we have with the DS is good, but the next generation of handheld consoles should give much more detail to the game - imagine being able to change your perspective to look into the sky while the stormcloud is slowly stretching across the region once Kyogre and Groudon have both been awoken. Imagine seeing the sky tower, and a green tail, to the left, and mirages to the right. For that matter, think of Mirage Island! There are so many other moments for which we could experience in perspective-3D Pokemon Emerald; the battle frontier is one example, but just seeing the sun rise and set as the time passes in Dewford city would be awesome. Of course, my dreams may be more than one generation away; are there any Wii games that even would make this real? |

Could I add to this that:
7-zip is very usefull as a multi-platform archive manager, NotePad++ is a GREAT Notepad replacement and Blender 3D is usefull for 3D graphics, CG and CGI.
