Well, because the release date is close (13th November), I decided I should make this thread and point out how awesome the movie looks like from its trailer, even though the trailer isn't practically new.

Plot
Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. 2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.

You can check the official trailer in high quality here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyCCd8MCcZY&feature=player_embedded)

What do you think of this movie?

Personally, judging from the trailer, I am definitely going to watch this really epic movie.

As I said in PIF, this movie is as good as any other pokemon movie. But Shadow, does grandcinemas show pokemon movies?

You do realize this is not a Pokemon movie, right?
Pokemon movies aren't as good as this movie, by the way.
Also, I am 98% sure Pokemon movies aren't displayed in Grand Cinemas.

I don't think people should make such a big deal out of the world ending 2012.

I mean, I doubt anyone would be able to predict when exactly the world ends anyway. I'm going to go see the movie.

But at the same time, what are we supposed to do? Be scared of the world ending each day we wake up? 2012 could be the year, but what month, what day, and what time?

Those are some things to keep in mind when watching this. I doubt the world ends three years from now though.

Sure I do, it was just a stupid simile.

Well, this movie is just based on the prediction that the world will end in 2012. Of course, no one will be able to exactly predict when will the world end, because it is simply impossible.
So, the movie is basically trying to convey us the fear that the world is probably going to end in 2012 using really awesome effects. However, it is not necessary that it is going to end in 2012.

EDIT:
1000th post! Woohoo! :D

They predicted the world was going to end in 1860, early 1900s, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2005, and 2012. It hasn't happened before, it's not gonna happen now.

Agreed.
What's the matter with them and the prediction of the world ending anyways?!
Seems like they want to out-power God. 0_0

Nah! I don't believe anything like that, but it is scary to think about it though...

In what way? And why?
