Anyone know any cheat codes for Emerald? I found gameshark codes, but they're very complex.

It depends what kinds you are looking for. GBA codes tend to be 32-bit, which means the codes will be pretty long, compared to GBC codes, which are 8-bit, and thus rather simple.

Anyway, any codes you are looking for in particular?

I'm mainly looking for Level or Experience codes, and a code to get all pokemon.

Do you know any places where I can learn to use VBA's cheat findy thingy?

Nope, that sucks.

But for codes try supercheats.com, they're pretty good.

Supercheats are better than pretty good.

I could walk you through it easily Jared for I use VBA and the cheat code slot after I beat the games I play.

I recently beat Emerald and used Experience Codes and such once I restarted it.

Gamefaq is good but in my own personal opinion it never includes more AR or Gameshark cheats then Supercheats.com.

It has a wider collection of info and better walkthroughs though.

Those sites only have tips and strategies, I'm looking for real cheat codes.

Supercheats has cheats Jared. Not just tips and strategies.

Gameshark = http://www.supercheats.com/gameboyadvance/pokemonemeraldcodes.htm

Action Replay = http://www.supercheats.com/gameboyadvance/pokemonemeraldcodes2.htm

Gameshark cheats suck. I need to memorize 9001 different numbers and edit the code each time I want to get something.

However, the AR codes are much more simplistic that Gameshark, so here's a cookie for your help (::)

If you're using VBA, just copy and paste.

And thanks for the cookie. Pikachu's all over the world will appreciate you now.

Should I put it in the GS or CB thingie?

If you open up Visual Boy Advance, you should see Cheats somewhere on the left top corner. Move your mouse on that and click it. Go to cheat list and paste the codes in the bigger square and put the name of the cheat in the other box.

You have to go to file and open up the game your playing first though before trying to enter any cheats. It should automatically save the codes for you after you put it in the box.

I just get a bunch of errors. Like "Invalid cheat code address" and "Invalid cheat code. Supported formats are XXXXXXXX:YY, XXXXXXXX:YYYY, XXXXXXXX:YYYYYYYY"

The code I was trying to use was:
B749822B CE9BFAC1
A86CDBA5 19BA49B3

Nope.

I guess I may need to do it the hard way. Or learn to edit .SA1 files.

I wonder why it works for me and not for you.

You're playing Pokemon Emerald, correct?

Yes

Maybe you're using an older version of VBA?

I'm using the Link version. That might have affected it.
