Kris, or Crystal in the manga, was the first ever female playable character in the Pokemon games, had rather impressive (albeit far too few) anime cameos, and was an all-around rather fun character. So, why is it that in HeartGold and SoulSilver they are replacing her with some new character? Personally, I already have distaste for the general appearance of "Soul", not to mention it seems to take away from the appeal of the two games, HeartGold and SoulSilver.
So, what do you think? Do you believe Soul was a good replacement, or would you rather have left Kris alone?
Perhaps she could assume the role of your fourth rival (doesn't Soul already have a Marill to begin with?) or become the league champion. Then Lance would become like Steven in Pokemon Emerald, and Red could be the hardest trainer to ever have existed in a game, with mid-90s and a few level-100 Pokemon. Regardless, don't replace Red or Lance!
