Considering we have been getting a vast number of spam bots registering, Pokezam now uses a different method of registration over the old "captcha". Captcha are good at deterring spam bots, however the mere existence of them causes companies which release captcha reading software to make millions of dollars each year. Additionally, people often find them troublesome to read. An often much more effective, yet by far much older, system has implemented which uses a question-answer system.

Questions such as "What color do you get when you combine Red and Blue" will be asked. Here is an outline of the exact questions, and their applicable answers. If an answer should be added to a question, comment here.

Q: "What is 2 minus 3?"
A: "1", "one", "One"

Q: "What is 2 plus 7 times 8?"
A: "72", "58"

Q: "What year is it?"
A: "2009"

Q: "How many legs does a cat have?"
A: "4", "four", "Four"

Q: "What is 202 plus 37?"
A: "239"

Q: "What color do you get when you mix Red and Blue?"
A: "Purple", "Violet", "purple", "violet"

Q: "What is the opposite of light?"
A: "dark", "Dark"

Q: "Type 'HELLO' in all lower case."
A: "hello", "'hello'"

Note: The character ' is replaced with " in the actual questions and answers (although is only used in the last question), and is merely used to avoid confusion.

The only own side about them is that you can easily write a custom bot to break them. Usually the bots are meant to break large installations, where as questions like these can't be read by a computer, only humans. However, someone could add a bot to check for this particular implementation, and have absolutely no problem. If this does become a problem, I'll do what some forums do; have both.

If the number vastly decreases then we're fine. I want the active users to be in the hundreds but it just is not in the cards.

How about adding 2009 to the year question and I'd kick out the second math question

Oh, sorry the year was a typo. And which math one?

The one with multiplying because while it is true some people might find it a nuisance not being able to answer that question straight away

Hm... Might not be a bad idea, then.
