Anybody here watch sports. I'm a football, soccer, and boxing fan, but I enjoy Basketball so much more. My favorite team is the Charlotte Bobcats (NBA) and the Carolina Panthers (NFL) since there in my hometown.
Winter
08-12-2009, 04:23 PM
In general, I am an NFL fan, though more specifically I like the Indianapolis Colts.
Basketball, it really doesn't matter... I'll watch whatever is on and generally the teams with the best records get top priority for airing (Cavs, Celtics, Lakers, Magic, etc.) so I'll watch them in addition to the local teams (Knicks and Nets).
I also watch baseball, generally the Yankees since they're the local team as well as whatever airs on ESPN or whatever. I generally don't like baseball since I find it too slow.
Houston Rockets. I never miss a game. :D
As for football, I play Fantasy Football with family, so I go for any team that I have a player on.

Neo Pikachu

I doubt he`ll go to the Panthers. However, so many surprising things happen nowadays. My favorite sports are Football, Basketball, and Swimming.
My favorite swimmer will forever be Michael Phelps. My favorite Football team is the Baltimore Ravens. Although, I like the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts as well. My favorite Basketball team is the Los Angeles Lakers. Ever since I started watching my first season of basketball when I was under the age of six, that has been my favorite team. Not to mention, I haven't missed a game since then either. My favorite basketball player is Kobe Bryant. In my opinion, he is the best basketball player of this generation.

Oh man my dad and uncle are not going to be happy this season. I'm watching Cowboys/Raiders pre-season and already Dallas has had two penalties and Romo went 3 and out.
Wade Phillips is also taking on two roles as both head coach and defensive coordinator.
Neo Pikachu

Tony Romo better step it up or my family on my mother's side are going to be pissed.
#10 on my Baltimore Ravens is good. Now we have a good back-up QB to compliment our starter, Joe Flacco.

Legend

Well, I think he'll be a lil bit rusty coming back on the field. But once he gets his groove back he'll be the same Mike Vick back in '06.
That'll actually be okay for me because I have always liked the Eagles. My love for them grew last year when their defense earned me a championship in my Fantasy Football league. That was the game when they won 49-7 or something against the Cowboys. It was the last game of the season. :D

Well, from my perspective, it might bring a little class to my team :P
I've never been a huge fan of the Vikings, due to certain players, however they really seem to be shaping up. I always preferred the Packers, as though I live in Minnesota, I vacation in Wisconsin a lot, and my mother also was born and grew up there.
Neo Pikachu
08-18-2009, 04:23 PM
I don't think Brett Favre going to Minnesota will be that bad. As long as they have their running back, Adrian Peterson, they're good in my opinion.
Legend
08-18-2009, 05:03 PM
I still don't think they'll be good until I see it. Brett's been making headlines for months talking about he's retiring and coming back. Plus he's 39 years old and aging, his body won't be able to handle the hits like he was before. Look at what happen last year if you catch my drift.
Neo Pikachu

Nope that was called RedZone alerts where say if you're watching one game it'll pause and let you know if another is about to score.

Peyton Manning is an extraordinary Quarter Back, one of my favorites to be honest.

LeBron James was the season MVP while Kobe Bryant was the Finals MVP.
I would have rather Kobe or Dwayne Wade be the MVP for the season though. They did better than LB in my opinion.
LeBron James is a phenomenal athlete nonetheless.
And for Football, I have no clue who were the MVP.

He wasn't use well in Detroit. Plus they weren't even a contender, and he was coached by a Rookie Coach that barely knew what to do. Coach Brown is the only coach that could teach A.I. how to play as well as he did back in 2000/2001. And Philly is ok but they haven't improved as much when he left.

We move on to Week 4 in the NFL tomorrow, and phew this is moving too fast. I'm interested to see if Denver is for real against Dallas and I'm hoping Seattle is an easy win for my Colts. The Steelers aren't looking so good though maybe they can win over San Diego tomorrow.

Honestly, the Patriots should have lost against my Baltimore Ravens.
The final score should have been, Ravens-21 and Patriots-20.
Because two of the defensive players were holding Trevor Pryce, Tom Brady easily got out of the pocket and back to the goal line. Then scrambled for the touchdown.

I think that is a good record for the Rockets considering they don't have a player on their starting line-up who has ever made it to an All-Star Game.
Speaking of the All-Star weekend, five of my Lakers players are in discussion of being in the All-Star Game.
Those players are: Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, and Ron Artest. That is freaking awesome in my opinion.
And the Vikings are a dangerous team indeed. I think that it will be these teams playing at the Super Bowl this year:
Minnesota Vikings Vs. Indianapolis Colts.
OR
New Orleans Saints Vs. Indianapolis Colts.

The Who sounds good.
Saints/Vikings vs. Colts would be great. We need to worry about the Chargers though as our defense sucks.
Also Thursday Night Football;
49ers - 10, Bears - 6
Jay Cutler threw five interceptions.
Rockets vs. Kings 9 PM Central :D

My Lakers are 8-3 now. I believe we are supposed to be topping the Power Rankings though and have the best record.
Once Pau Gasol is back in the lineup, we're going to be very difficult to defeat. I mean, look how good we're doing with our starting Line-Up now!
Derek Fisher, Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Pau Gasol, and Andrew Bynum as our starters.
With Lamar Odom, Jordan Farmar, and Shannon Brown coming off the bench. Oh, yeah!

My Bobcats are 3-8 but I know we can still make the playoffs with Stephen Jackson.
PG: Felton
SG: Jackson
SF: Wallace
PF: Diaw
C: Chandler
That's a pretty good squad if you look at that.

The Bobcats always had players who could do good things, its something about them that needs to change though before they can do good.
Ron Artest is starting to come together with the Lakers. He's been keeping himself under control and hasn't been hotheaded.
Actually, Lamar Odom seemed to almost get in more fights or arguments with the Refs and opponents more than Artest this season.

Hey figure this NW. Your Bobcats are better than the Nets and their winless record. (I hate the Nets btw).

the Bobcats... They have the best jersey in the league. :P
And Artest threw Ariza's shoe after it came off in the Rockets vs. Lakers game a few days ago. Not very sportsmanlike. :|
Anyways, the Rockets play the Hawks tonight at... 6:30 Central, I believe.

Do you think the Rockets will make it to the Western Conference Championship this year?
And, I don't think the Bobcats have the best jersey's.
Haha, we'll see.
I can't say anything until the playoffs begin.

I feel bad for Allen Iverson. He's a great Point Guard but just can't find a home in the NBA.
He's going to have to retire sooner than people thought he would if this continues.
He's too selfish for developing teams, haha. :P

The Bills do have a future. They FINALLY got rid of Dick Jauron and if they can get a few other players in the upcoming draft, I see them having a decent record next year.
Go Texans! :D
Hopefully Indy beats Jacksonville tonight.

I hope so too but we already have homefield advantage so all I care about is to first obliterate the Chargers and then get an AFC Championship and then get the Vince Lombardi trophy.
Indy won... That means Houston has a chance to catch up to J'Ville. Playoffs, anyone? :P
I suppose all they need to do is win... The Rams shouldn't be a very hard opponent, especially with the recent 'Swine Flu Outbreak' lol.

Take a picture of the jersey (not you wearing the jersey, just the jersey itself). I want to see if it's authentic.
It's not a replica you silly boy.

Gerald Wallace made Shane Battier cry because we beat the Rockets!
102-94 Bobcats beat the Rockets. Stephen Jackson with 43 points and Boris Diaw with 19 points!!! We also improve 14-4 at home tied for best record at home in the East I think.
