The character limit is 25 since neither myself nor SR would want to stretch the posting space.

The posting space on a system with the proper fonts shouldn't be stretched prior to roughly 40 characters.

Edit: Gonna have to withdraw my argument. Looks more like 25 upon a test. 'Course, anything beyond 10 stretches the legacy postbit.

Ah... I'd imagine the same would happen in the new one. One sec, I'm changing my name to "Ya know, sometimes you just have to ignore all the annoying policies and go crazy. So, I change my name to something realllly... long. It'll be changed back in a minute or so, though."

Who likes my new name? I went strait to PHPMyAdmin to change it. :P

Edit: This experience, although annoying for the few people (NP was one) who had to experience it, gave me a good insight into different places where VB will chop off letters after 25 characters, even though you can theoretically have 100. In addition to that, the caching system is fairly intriguing.
