A wide variety of information has been found with the recent airing of Pokemon Sunday as well as the most recent Coro-Coro issue.
First of all, it has been confirmed that Apricorns will be available, and can be grown inside an Apricorn case. However, interestingly, it can be questioned if this is the only way, as trees can be found in Kurt's back yard. Because of this, it is possible these will now be used for normal berries as well. Or, it could be that the trees will contain both berries and Apricorns, but you can get more Apricorns faster by hanging on to them.
Another piece of news is that there is a battle facility or possibly full frontier east of Olivine City - players of Crystal will remember the very first Battle Tower, albeit with different rules than we know today, to have existed here. In addition to this, a new area, previously speculated to be a different battle frontier, can now be confirmed to be a Safari Zone, although its rules, or whether or not a second will exist in Kanto, is not yet known.
It is also found that the storyline will still contain Mr. Pokemon and the ever-so-special egg, presumed to contain Togepi. In addition to this, the Bug Catching Contests return, though that could have been expected.
Finally, during Pokemon Sunday it was learned that Mewtwo will also be catchable. This comes at no real surprise, being that all of the Pokemon from the first three generations seem to be catchable in the Fourth - The Legendary Golems and Birds in Platinum, and Mewtwo, as well as the Element Trio, in HeartGold/SoulSilver.
