Ever since the second generation, GameFreak has been trying to better utilize wireless communications in their Pokemon games. Pokemon Crystal, for example, had not only the standard Battle Tower and fancied graphics, but also had a full-fledged facility in Goldenrod similar to that of Diamond and Pearl's Global Communication Center, however it was removed because the cell phone adapter common in Japan was not so available in America.
Now, we have been able to enjoy those features in Diamond and Pearl with Wi-Fi, which improved even further in Platinum. However, what can we expect in HeartGold/SoulSilver? What additional features could they add, and might they make Pokemon give-aways available more easily on Wi-Fi; we've already seen the mini-games. In my neighborhood alone, 1 out of 3 houses, as well as my own, have Wi-Fi, not to mention the Cafés, Coffee Shops, Libraries, McDonalds, Bars, and Restaurants that all have a Wi-Fi broadcast.
