Alright, so you want to make a poll.
Great, that's what this section is here for. But hold up. Ask yourself a few things first. Are people really going to care about your poll? Also, ask yourself if the topic is too broad to be a poll. If so, feel free to simply create a discussion thread about it in the The Official Chat Thread (http://www.pokezam.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3886)board.
Should this be a poll?
Something like "what is the best video game?" or "what is your favorite phone?" are things that shouldn't be made into polls, but rather topics in another section. The reason for this is that everyone likes different things, and not necessarily the same things you like.
You've deemed that your topic is ready to become a poll.
Good, now, the biggest, most irritating thing that happens with polls is the lack of relevant voting choices. A poll does not need fifty ways of saying yes or no, nor do the options need to be "nooooooooooooooooooo way!!!!!!!!!!!!!"; a simple "no" will do. Remember, if a poll has too many options that people can vote on, it's better to make a topic about it, rather than just have an "other" option.
A couple of things to keep in mind.
Poll presentation is a nice thing. Try to make your poll interesting by using images or facts in your first post. That way, polls are not simply a popularity contest, and people with little knowledge of the subject have something to base their vote on.
Thank you for reading, and please, make the effort to keep this section clean and spam-free. Also, any addition to these guidelines are greatly appreciated.
