One of the Wii's big selling points is being able to play much older games for less of a price. However, the Nintendo DSi, which packaged the Wii's concept of WiiWare, lacks this feature. Games such as Super Mario Deluxe, Game & Watch Gallery 2, 3, and 4, Pokemon Yellow, and others would all be rather fun to enjoy again, especially now that the DSi no longer supports playing of Gameboy Advance Games, just as the DS removed support of Gameboy Color games.

What do you think? Should older games be offered as well as the "MiniGames" that are currently offered on the DSi's store? Perhaps even some NES, SNES, or N64 games should be offered as they are on the Wii, though for me personally that might be pushing it.

Maybe just Color and GBA.

I think adding older games on newer platforms with better graphics might be cool.

I'm thinking you should buy a game boy.

Have you seen the prices on those things? They're as low as... Paris Hilton!

I think the same thing. It would be interesting to see older games on newer platforms with better graphics.

As low as Paris Hilton, huh? :P

Most stable emulator I've ever seen in my life.

I know when I first tried it out I was amazed with the stability of it as well. However, the first I use (due to it being compatible with WINE), 1.6, does not render some elements perfectly. Mario and Luigi RPG comes to mind.

Emerald and Sapphire do not work on the Windows version. I could just be doing something wrong, though.

In what way don't they work? Does Windows show an error, is the screen completely white, is there an error listed in the game, or what? The latter two issues are completely fixable, as with many others. Anyway, what is the error, I probably can help.

The screen is white.

Very easy fix, one I've had enough times.

Go to "Options" -> "Emulator" -> "Save Type" and make sure that "Automatic" and "Flash 64K" are selected. When I think about it, "Flash 128K" may need to be selected for saving to work, I can't remember which it was.

Likewise, I should note that "Automatic" may not work either. Only one save type will properly load the save, and only a few will properly load the game. You need to make sure that with your settings it both saves properly and loads the game after restarting. If you want, I can look into this further, I just don't want to screw with it too much at the moment.

A little off-topic aren't we?

I'm glad I haven't had any problems with ROMs. Maybe that's because I never decided to use one. Thought about it before, but decided not to download and it and such.

You're not much of a brown-noser, are you? Its refreshing, actually.

Safer in all honesty. However, I'm very appreciative of Nintendo (and for some people Sony, MS, and the works) for not prosecuting people who download illegal game content. On the other hand, I'm start to hate music CDs.

Back on topic, though, are there any games you want to see in particular? I would rather like to see Pokemon Yellow, Tetris, and Bomberman for the Gameboy (can't think of its full name) made available.

Nope. I am no brown-noser.

Pokemon Yellow of course, even though HG/SS are Yellow Version in Johto, :P

Other than that, I'd like to see Crystal, Pokemon Crystal that is. For some reason, I've liked Crystal more than Gold and Silver. To be honest, Crystal was the first Pokemon game I ever had. I got it in the Game Boy Color pack and it came with the game.

Any others? Can't think of any at the moment, but if anything comes to me, I'll be sure to share it with ya.

Crystal was in my opinion the best Pokemon game there was, even if this was because of simple nostalgia. My first game was Yellow, then later Gold, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, and eventually Platinum (I'll be getting both HG and SS silver as well), however Crystal, even though I have only played in on an emu, seemed to have so much more story to it. It was really intriguing to play through simply because of how creatively things were changed from gold.

There is another one I had forgotten to mention I really enjoy, that being Super Mario Deluxe, the NES SMB remake for the Gameboy Color.
