Kyogre and Groudon are available in Heart Gold and Soul Silver respectively. Getting them both on one game gets Rayquaza. It also appears the movie Arceus when sent over to HG/SS will enact an event that will enable capturing of either a Level 1 Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina.

Also, the event may feature a cameo from Cynthia.

EDIT: There are also rumors that a level 1 Giratina, level 1 Palkia or level 1 Dialga will be available after transferring a movie event Arcues to your HG/SS, respectively.

I guess it makes sense, since the only other way to get the third gen legendaries is to transfer them from the GBA games for right now.

Is this movie Arceus the only way you can get Arceus? Dang it, I hate the anime, and I hate going to movie theaters, so it looks like I won't be getting any Arceus now....

As for the Lv1 Giratina/Palkia/Dialga thing, it sounds kind of absurd to me.

Well, I have a feeling the G/P/D thing is completely fake, and nothing more than a rumor. I mean, what would the reasoning behind putting them in the game be, anyway?

As for getting Arceus, only in Japan are they given out at movie theatres, in the U.S. you will likely see them coming to near-by Toys 'R' Us (can't say I like that much better).

That's true, though you never know what kind of crazy stuff they might have in mind.

That should work better for me at least. I went to Toys R Us for the Darkrai event last year. There's even one very close to the college I'm going to, so maybe I can get it there. I dunno, maybe I don't need Areceus that much, we'll have to see when the time comes.

I think they did the right thing by putting Kyogre in HG and Groudon in SS.
As to the Arceus, that really sucks. They are restricting the cool stuff only to Japan.
If anyone is getting the Japanese Arceus, can anyone lend it to me when HG/SS comes out?

Cool information by the way.

Definitely. This way all Pokemon will be available between D/P/P/HG/SS.

Personally, I think Nintendo would benefit wildly from making all events available over WiFi, if only for a short time.

What difference would that make? It's not like they get paid whenever someone uses the Wifi system, do they?

Obviously not, but methods like Toys 'R' Us don't cause Nintendo to be paid at all, nor is 'R' Us guaranteed to make any money. The difference with making everything available through WiFi is more people might want to buy the games.

Of course, in Japan the movies will be better promoted, so that much does make sense there.

I'd really like to see more awesome events. My favorite part about Pokemon were events. They were really epic, albeit only once in the game, those cheap Japanese saving on events. T_T

Anyway, yes, lvl 1 legendaries allow really nice additional first 5 levels EV training 8D

Oh, I see what your thinking is. But I still think that it wouldn't make much of a difference. Seeing as the primary audience of the pokemon games is young kids aged about 6-12, they may be more likely to want to have their parents drag them to Toys R Us to get the special pokemon rather than communicating with people though online communities who can inform them of the Wifi events.

I also agree with what FreezeWarp said. I mean, if it doesn't make a difference as Yo Shee said, why can't they make the events on Wifi. In this way people will opt to buy the games seeing that there's an available chance of obtaining rare Pokemon.
Also, I have been thinking about it: Those level 1 legendaries are really lame if you come to think of it. I mean, we already got them in D/P/Pt, and let's only make Regigigas the unique level 1 legendary.

Also, all 493 Pokemon can follow you in the game, and also a new area west of Pal Park - it's rumored that it's a Battle Frontier.

^In HG/SS?
All Pokemons can follow us? When did they confirm it?

True, definitely. May not be a bad idea to have both I suppose, as I'm sure Toys 'R Us is more than happy doing it (for obvious reasons).

From what I've heard you can also check how they are feeling, but I'm not sure if its like in Amity Square where a text bubble will pop up showing something they did or if it will be Pokemon Yellow-style and you will see actual images of the Pokemon's emotions.
