Twitter, a web "micro-blogging" service, has come to be a rather common word for many people today. Yet, how many people actually utilize the service? Unlike a lot of people I have talked to, I don't see any interest in posting what I'm doing every few hours in under 140 characters:

"Going to lake to bury bod.... I mean have a picnic with Joe."
"Editing my twitter status."
"Enjoying the joys of enjoying."

Seriously, though, how many people do use twitter and what do you think of it? Do you find it to be a very good service, or would you kinda like to drop it?

It would be a good service if people used it correctly. There are too many people editing their status every five minutes just to what song they're listening to on their uPod.

Exactly. So, I am not interested in Twitter at all.

I am not interested in Twitter, nor do I know how to utilize it.

I've also heard that about 90% of users on twitter don't even post. Similarly, the top 1% of posters post more than everybody else.

You might be right. Or wherever you heard it from could be correct. However, you'll never know until you try it.

P.S. Don't try it!
