Hello everyone.
Choose the starter you are going to pick up in HeartGold/SouldSilver from the poll and say why you chose him
I am still thinking about choosing either Totodile or Cyndaquil... Any help or suggestion?

I'm going with Totadile myself, mostly because its bite attack has proven useful in previous games. That is the same reason I generally choose Squirtle in FR/LG.

I'll most likely be picking Chikorita, as I had a lot of fun with it back in the days that I was playing the old Silver version. However, Cyndaquil is a possibility as well. I'll be basing that decision and which game I get on the version exclusives. And I probably won't even be getting this game immediately since I'll most likely be a broke college student who won't be able to afford it.

Cyndaquil for sure! Hes been my buddy since those days of G/S/C (though my crystal still works ive been trying to lv my current team up or teach most of my pokemon moves so i can bring certin moves they can learn on pokmeon red, so i can bring those pokemon stadium that my cousin has)
Fire to the end. I've never once picked a water or grass starter to start a game, and I never will. ;)

When I think about it, I'm not sure I ever use anything but water starters anymore. Originally, in FR/LG, I had picked Bulbasaur and later Charmander, but the last few times I have choosen Squirtle. Likewise, in G/S/C, I had originally tried Cyndaquil, then later Chikorita, but now only use Todatile. In Hoenn, I choose to only use Mudkip, though once (and only once) choose Treeko so I could trade it to Emerald later on. And, the five times I have played through Sinnou (thrice on Diamond, once on Pearl, and once on Platinum) I have only used Piplup. I should try Chimchar sometime, though.
Haha, nice pattern there. You should definitely try Chimchar because of the Fire/Fighting combination. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a TM for Brick Break in Platinum, so the best Fighting type attack I can teach him besides Close Combat is Mach Punch. :(

I'm going to be choosing Cyndiquil as I have done in the past. My favorite Johto Starter and it doesn't mess up with my future Pokemon I want to be in my team.
You must admit, Typhlosion looks very pwnish. :D

Well, that is true. However, I am a fair man. I don't judge how awesome a Pokemon is by their looks. For example, Pikachu...
Pikachu is hawt. Lol. All of the final evolutions of the Fire type starters look pretty cool, though. Infernape is borderline.
