Many GNU-fanatics, like myself, have strong preference for the professional image editing client "Gimp", which is notably free. Photoshop, on the other hand, is a more frequently used tool that can cost over a hundred dollars. So, which do you use, and have you tried the other?
Personally, I am a big fan of Gimp, and have only tried Photoshop a few times at school. Though, Gimp is a lot easier for me to use, and while using Linux, the only option for a real good editor.
