Who here has played any of the games in the Paper Mario series? I've played Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Unlike a lot of other games you might play, these games really are interesting, in fact fun in a way different than most other games. Below are summaries and review for the two games:
[!]Spoilers Below[/!]
Paper Mario
In Paper Mario Bowser kidnaps the seven Star Spirits, and steals the Star Rod. He then tried to kidnap Princess Peach by lifting her castle up into the sky and under his own. Mario, in the castle with Peach, challenges Bowser. Bowser, activating the Star Rod's power, becomes invincible, and beats Mario easily, blasting him through the sky and into Goomba Village, home to a single family of goombas. From here Mario must travel to far off lands to rescue the 7 star spirits and challenge Bowser, retrieve the Star Rod, and save Princess Peach.
Overall Paper Mario was a very fun game for me, however there are few side quests to do and once you finish the game, you finish the game. You can only turn off the power and go back to your previous save file. Simply there aren't many things you can do when you are bored and don't want to get into another big part of the game. I give it an 8 out of 10.
Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door
In Paper Mario 2 you must search for the 7 Crystal Stars in order to open the legendary Thousand Year Door and obtain the treasures within. Meanwhile, he finds that Princess Peach has once again been kidnapped, though by the X-Naht Organization (I think its bases off of Nazis).
This game is considerably more challenging when compared to the previous games, while at the same time introducing many new side quests. Unlike the previous there are actually some new things you can do once completing the main storyline. To make things even more fun, the story of the game is very intriguing.

So, has anyone played either of those two games or Super Paper Mario for the Wii (I haven't had the chance yet) and if so what did you think?
