Finally the 2008 NFL Season is here. Technically it started on Thursday when the New York Giants defeated the Washington Redskins, 16-7.
I am an Indianapolis Colts fan and Xicer is a Carolina Panthers fan. Not sure if we have any other fans here, though I'll be posting the match-ups and scores after each week is over.

26-24; nice work by the Panthers. If Fox keeps this up, he'll be around next year. Sadly with the death of Gene Upshaw, there is rumors of a strike next year. I hope they resolve things before then.
Colts vs. Bears are up now.
Bleh :[ Bears won it seems like with 11 minutes to go.

W00t! That pass Jake did was sweet! Reminds me how he did it during the Superbowl!
R.I.P Gene Upshaw

They did extremely well last night, that's for sure.
Edit: They face Xicer's Panthers this Sunday.
I'm sure hoping Indy does better against Minnesota this week as well. So far Green Bay is winning over Minnesota, 10-6.

Oh that makes me ecstatic.
I thought Xicer and I were going to be the only ones on this forum talking NFL football. This is fantastic.
Pokemon and the NFL. Nothing goes better : )

We will see, hahaha. The Bears killed the Colts, like they should have in the Super Bowl.

In fairness though, Jeff Saturday is out and so is Dallas Clark. Still I don't underestimate the Bears.
The Panthers win over the Chargers showed that a football game can literally go down the absolute final seconds. That clip is going to certainly be on the highlight reel for years to come.

Even though the Bears beat the Colts, they still don't have a chance. :p

It just goes to show that the game can be won in the final minutes.
Colts also won in the final minutes against the Vikings. Bills won, Jacksonville is 0-2. Giants won, Packers won, Titans won, Cardinals won. Another great week of football.

It definately didn't look like they would win the first part I saw. Like them blocking the punt and running it in for the touchdown! Hahaha

That was a great play by the way. The Colts first TD in the 4th Quarter was also a heck of a play too. My uncle has the NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV so I get to channel switch and watch moments unfold. Shame I can't see them live though it's extremely expensive to go to a football game these days.

Oh, that's really cool! There aren't any football stadiums anywhere near where I live
I went to Wisconsin over the summer, and we went into Green Bay and got to see the Packer's field and them also practicing.

Since we have a few Bears fans here, here's a 1981 interview with then Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Mike Ditka.

Yeah and Peterson is having hamstring trouble :[
All the good players have injuries. This season is really bad.

o_O It's only week 4 of the NFL season. Can you define what you mean?
My uncle luckily has the NFL Sunday Ticket so from that perspective, I can say you miss quite a bit each week and all season.

Normally, I shouldn't reply to a thread that is over a month old though I think in this situation I can. The NFL continues to be unpredictable. My Colts got their win back from last season over the Patriots bringing them to 4 wins and 4 losses. The Bears lost Kyle Orton against the Lions though still won by 4, 27-23. Rex Grossman is back, although he appears to be a lot better.
