Jared has an idea. Expand your horizons, unlock the cupboard, break the glass, if you understand what these are metaphors for. Get pokezam out of just pokemon and add a little bit of everything, from Naruto to The Colbert Report to food to college to military to ANYTHING, it'll bring many more different types of people and all that good stuff.

Leaving you all... The site's going down the drain and it's my fault for disappearing...

As for widening the site, I think it's a Pokémon site for good. We could throw in a little bit of other similar games and anime, but go too wild with it and it'll be like PokéDynasty, which has nothing to do with Pokémon at all. I think what we need is one of the administrators to come back, or one of us to be promoted to admin. The highest up we've got now is Pisaro, and I don't think he has full admin privileges, or able to edit the site itself. Then we need a new banner for the site, just to look "new". (I'll do that. *is a decent enough GIMPer*) Then I'll advertize this place on my site for free. You don't even have to link to mine. After that, we can plan out some "extra fluff" to attract visitors. Feel free to steal ideas from my place. ^_^

I was wondering when this place was going to pick up again, unfortunately I have nothing to offer right now. I told Alakazam maybe I could post some Dragon Quest IX stuff a while back though the game got delayed in Japan from March 28 to July 11 due to some bugs found. D:

I will either be typing from a public computer or from my Wii in the future. My laptop fell from my dinner tray some time back and I opted not to get it fixed and instead have it recycled. I do not plan on getting a new laptop or computer in the near future and would rather spend my time and money on other things. There is still no commercial capturing device for the DS (except for one method which I have tried and failed in acquiring).

I will remain a Pokemon fan and occasionally post on here and other forums. Hopefully by the fifth generation, either the next portable system will have a Game Boy Player equivalent or be on a console so I can use a capture card.

Congrats to Jared on being promoted to Super Mod and Zapdogre to Moderator. Good work on helping to get this place revived again SR (or FW if you prefer).

And she had said that aside from the different currency, Toronto is a lot more like Minnesota than Texas. Hm... Let me fix that now. I've been screwing with the "Options" in order to implement the WiFi thingy-ma-bob, so I should be familiar enough to change that (I didn't break it!).

Also, there is no actual limit to user titles. They can be as large as an SQL cell can be. However, limits are put in place both on the Administrative user title section (which peaks at 100, I think) and the user (which peaks at 10). I think I'll change the two to 30 and infinite respectively. So, if you want anything longer, then go to the user title request thread (I may need to make sure it still exists).

Gnome's more polished, more refined, so for perfectionists it is the better window manager, though KDE is much more modern, much more with the times, so I like it more.

I heard Pisaro doesn't come here from Akai, but apparently he showed up a week ago. Is there anything I can do to help? Since I'm sure the same old failed affiliation stuff never works (tried so many times before I figured that out), but is there anything else I can do here to bring this place up?

Gnome is also much easier to customize. You need to go through >9000 menus to personalize KDE just the way you want it, but only one for Gnome. And gnome actually lets you set the exact color of the panels, while KDE gives you a list of optional color/icon combo thingies.


But customization is not needed much, since the more you can customize something the easier it is to break it.


EDIT: Can you ask Akai why she suddenly hates me? I'm really confused...

I don't know what a mod does to be honest. I always thought it was just a higher status for those deemed loyal to the forums.

Actually Nytz I returned here. I resigned as an administrator because I wasn't using my powers on the forums and I only hired one news updater who went inactive. I am now a Super Mod and hope to begin contributing more.

The problem is... it's tough to find stuff to give. Platinum was already fully explored and there's no new games on the horizon.

Copyright sounds good. Go for it, then. Keep in mind, though, that when someone does try to steel them, it will cost a lot more than the copyright registry to enforce it, the government doesn't just do it on its own. And, of course, there are enough countries who don't abide by any copyright policy.

And, I could imagine you would be a little scared. I would be a little interested how they would react, though, as in professionally or unprofessionally. Either way, its up to you if you want to tell them or not.

The blocker they have is one that parents use. So, if a parent doesn't like a site and they use this blocker at their home, they tell the administrator, it gets evaluated, and then if it's approved it gets blocked for every single person who has the program in the world.

Once in a while, we just have these very warm or very cold temperatures. I can remember 2002 being particularly weird. April 28th and 29th were similar to today, and in mid May there was an entire week of 40 degree weather all day.

My Wal Mart had a machine for $400 which was a little out of my range. Target had what looked to be one for $280 though I'm not entirely sure if it was a floor or window unit. It sucks that it's so hot since normally I wouldn't have to worry about this until about June.

And about my computer: I was waiting for a 44 minute video to load on my internet(From the weather channel, nothing illegal) so I went to my room to watch HERCULES :D but when it was done and I got back to my computer, it was frozen. So, I restarted it. When it turned back on, the power supply fan sounded like an airplane propeller. That doesn't usually happen. Vista wouldn't start for 3 times, so I tried to load my kubuntu live cd but my wireless mouse didn't let it load. I tried a system restore, but it said I didn't create a restore point(I recall making about 100 by now) so that didn't help. Then I saw the option to start from last good settings, and it turned on without a hitch.

Hm... Sounds a lot like a virus. Any chance you have the Conficker virus? Then again, that would only explain the restore point problem.

The fan is a problem that a lot of old computers would have, and the Live CD a problem with drivers.

The truth is I'm sure either Nintendo or the Gamefreak head has a gag order on everybody, so you really don't find leaks without someone being fired. None the less, not knowing what the next game is killing me. I've said before that I can't wait for there to be a G/S/C remake, but right now I'm starting to doubt GSDS.

Well, for me I can't wait for the summer, because I'll have so much time on my hands.

On the other hand, I say that right now when its 60 degrees outside, and about 50 inside. Once the temps start getting into the 80s and the humidity hits the top, I am going to be just plan tired of the season. Its on those days I really look forward to my parents turning on the A/C.

Also, I just finished a new layout for the member list searching that is more organized, plus integrates the super-awesome-omg-fabulous WiFi center. Tell me what you think, though keep in mind I haven't actually tested any of it, so I'm assuming there will be some misplaced identifiers that will search other and non-existing fields. In addition to that, I improved the display of the WiFi center on member list searching. Again, I haven't tested it at all.

Its really not mini-modding when your a mod, though it would be a good idea to try to cool it. Personally I don't find her that bad, and I'm rather happy for her being successful at Pokebattlers and everything. Then again, I'm fairly unobjective, which I think helps with my relationships with people.

Anyway, if you're asking why now-a-days you have to be a jerk to make friends, it is because the human psyche generally tries to impress others by showing superiority, or the willingness to complete tough tasks, while it also comes to respect or feel worthy of those who can do such tasks. Going back millions of years, you would look up to this kind of person as being able to feed a village by hunting animals, sometimes risking their lives.

None the less, in modern-day society, this perspective is very flawed, with the exception of those who actually do retrieve the food. You probably didn't want this sort of explanation, but it actually is a fairly accurate description of it, I think. I haven't actually done any research into why humans try to be jerks to impress friends, rather I think about this when my mind wonders a lot. Its just an explanation that makes the most sense to me.

I'm planning to get a DSi soon too, but I haven't actually got Platinum yet. I've got £41 and Platinum is £30 and a DSi is about £120. D:

The only friends I have are internet friends on places like Gaia and Yahoo, and we barely talk anymore. I've given up on RL friends due to school trouble. As a very young child (five or six), I was with the rough "cool" lot for about five weeks due to peer pressure. Prior to that I was apparently a "gifted" child, although I never thought myself very clever. Once I'd convinced myself that it was only going to ruin my future (I was greedy and obsessed with my own success until I was about nine), I stopped, but nobody ever saw me the same ever again. I'm now that weird kid who sits on her own on the school steps listening to music, flicking through a book, staring at the sky or crying randomly. I know it's stupid. When I attempt to make friends with anyone, they just scream at me, call me a freak or walk off. Even if they're new kids. I just don't want to be some abusive bully just to gain the momentary support of a bunch of immature, violent liars.

Yeah Gamestop had a promotion where if you traded in your old Lite, you could put that towards a DSi. My DS Lite I traded in I had since April 2006 when I imported it. It was getting worn out. The A button while still working felt flat from me pressing it so often. This was mostly from RPGs where I sped past dialogue and random battles.

I'd rather keep my Lite as well, as the DSi doesn't play GBA games and my eyes hurt from squinting at the GBA's unlit screen for every day for three or four years before the DS was introduced. xD

Yeah the GBA slot is a sacrifice although I must say it is an improvement in terms of screen size and clarity.

The screen size and resolution is definitely a huge plus.

In fairness, it's only a 0.25 inch all around both the top and touch screens and five brightness levels vs. four.

That said you can also take pictures and utilize all of the SD card functions.

I actually think I'll get started now. Filezilla is somewhat cumbersome, but Konqueror, being an all-in-one FTP-Client, Web-Browser, and File-Manager, would likely be a little easier to use.

No problem. You can view the June Coro Coro scans on Serebii and such. There's some neat information on Heart Gold and Soul Silver. For example the female trainer plays a support role similar to Dawn/Lucas in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.
