Prologue: HellfireShrieks and howls of many different pokemon sounded out in the cold, seemingly endless night as cages rattled in some hope of escape. A small infant houndour looked up as his cage was opened to see the face of a human with long black hair that reached to about her shoulders. The houndour, who’s name was merely the number 09507, cringed in fear as the human female picked up the houndour and slowly carried him to a brightly lit room where an infant vulpix of about his age was scratching at a kind of plexiglass container.
The houndour looked at another plexiglass container that was probably meant for him, and he began to struggle as he saw blood stains on the container’s surface. It was futile. He was shoved ruthlessly in the container and the blood stained his paws, as it was still so fresh that it was warm. He wasn’t surprised to see the dead body of an eevee lying in a trash bin near by. He whimpered as he saw the female human pull out a long, sharp syringe that was empty. The female human jabbed the syringe into the vulpix’s shoulder, and it yelped in agony. Soon blood filled the syringe. The vulpix cried out loudly and started flailing in pain as the syringe was pulled out. Blood poured from the vulpix’s shoulder in large amounts before another human male slapped a bandage on it carelessly.
As the little houndour closed his eyes, he felt a sharp pain as if he had been stung by a beedrill. Tears sprung to his eyes as blood poured into the syringe. After what seemed like eons, the syringe was slowly pulled out of his shoulder, and it began to burn. A fire of anger and rage and pain burned within his body, and he felt as if his flesh was melting. He howled in anguish as he felt his body slowing itself down and he collapsed to the floor of the container.
The last thing experiment 09507 ever felt of that night was a burning sensation of Hellfire...

I felt a tear.

Really rough and scary start you have here, good as it holds attention but pretty info void as of now. I really would love to see more. ^~^

By the way, press enter twice when spacing out paragraphs. Otherwise it's all going to run together and people don't like that.

Thank you! It means alot that you said that. Chapter one is on its way. (I'll edit this post and put it in when its finished) ITS DONE!!!! It took awhile to write, though.

Chapter one: Contagion
Mist hung around the large, gray building as the sun rose to make its daily greeting to the world. Dew drops clung to the grass and it looked to be a bright, beautiful day for a certain little Pikachu. Yawning, the Pikachu lazily got out of its warm, cozy nest and shivered slightly as the heavy dew clung to his fur and made it wet. She looked cautiously towards the gray building, and it suddenly looked as if it were a very sinister scourge put on the earth. She trembled as she remembered the awful stories told of this place.

“I heard that the humans in their drank the blood of pokemon!” she remembered hearing this comment from a passing pidgeot one evening.

The little Pikachu, with the name Splint, shuddered as she imagined humans cutting her open and drinking her blood until her body was only a husk. She yelped a little at the thought and shook her head slightly, trying to tell herself that all that was rubbish. Surely humans couldn’t be so unkind to an innocent pokemon?
Suddenly she heard a door creak open and she about jumped three feet in the air. She hid behind a large boulder as a human female with dark hair stepped out of the building, carrying a large black trash bag. Splint felt a shiver down her spine as she detected the scent of something very bloody coming from the bag. Splint gulped as she watched the bag carelessly tossed to the ground, causing a few dew drops to splatter everywhere. She heard the door close.

I wonder if all those rumors are true? Splint thought as she quickly bounded towards the bag. She stopped when she was not but a hair length from it. Scared, but overwhelmed with curiosity, Splint sniffed the bag carefully and noted that it was indeed the smell of blood coming from the bag.

Oh no! she thought, a chill encasing her entire body as it petrified her in fear. It’s a dead pokemon!!! What kind of a place is this???Tears filled her eyes and she began to sob as a slow sense of despair and sorrow melted away her fear. It wasn’t long before her tears began to fall to the grass. A breeze swept through the little field.

“Why? Why would humans do this? I don’t understand!! Why…?” Splint cried out through her falling tears. Suddenly the bag moved, and Splint looked up, her brown eyes still leaking fresh tears. A glimmer of hope creeked through her anguish and fear.

“Hello?” Splint called to whatever pokemon was in the bag. “Hello? Can you hear me?” By now she had stopped crying, and a torrent of joy and excitmet filled her as the bag ripped open and the head of a young houndour poked out.

Splint jumped up to help get the bag off the houndour, and the young pokemon, probably still an infant, cringed away from the Pikachu who had come to his aid.
“I want my mommy…” The houndour whimpered. Splint gave up on trying to get the rest of the bag off. The plastic bag was a little too strong for the pikachu’s paws. The houndour, who’s wounds obviously stopped bleeding by now, looked up at Splint.

“Mommy? Are you my mommy?” The houndour asked. Splint almost said no when she saw the infinitesimal fear and pain in it’s eyes. The pikachu’s ears drooped.

I can’t leave this poor little baby all on its own… not in this condition… I guess I can be his foster mother for now… Splint thought as the houndour smiled in what seemed like hope.

“Mommy?” he asked again. Splint sighed.

“Yes, little one?” Splint asked. The houndour smiled and his eyes glittered.

“Mommy!” it cried as it tore itself out of the bag, dried blood crusted parts of his body. Splint gasped. In the place of where the houndour’s tail was supposed to be, six fluffy, pitch black ones that looked just like the tails of a vulpix stood out. Only then did Splint really get a good look at the little baby houndour.
His body was crusted over with dried blood, it had the tails of a vulpix, and there was a tag on his ear that read in big red numbers 09508.

Poor thing… Splint thought. He probably had to go through so much… Again A tear fell from Splint’s eye as she removed the numbered tag from the houndour’s ear.

“Why are you crying, Mommy?” the houndour asked. Splint swiped the tear away from her cheek as she dropped the tag to the lush, grassy floor.

“Nothing, little one…” Splint decided they should was the blood off the houdour’s fur.
“Follow me. I know a place to go to to wash that stuff off of you.” Splint said, facing away her tears and becoming determined to help this poor thing get a better life. The houndour’s six vulpix tails wagged as he followed Splint to a small, shallow lake a few miles away from the awful gray building. It was hard to wash all that dried blood off, and even harder to find and fix all of the houndour’s wounds, but after awhile the houndour’s body was completely cleaned.

After some thought, Splint wondered what his name was.
“What should I call you, houndour?” Splint asked openly to the houndour, or whatever he was.
“Houndour?” he laughed. “Silly Mommy, I’m not a houndour. I am a Hex Hound. You weren’t there when they named me, were you?” The “Hex Hound” gestured to its six vulpix tails.
“My name is 09508.” The Hex Hound continued. “But I never liked that name. Can you change it Mommy? Humans are bad at giving out names…”

Splint giggled a little at the Hex Hound’s optimistic comments. She thought of a name that would best fit his energetic personality. Then she thought of the perfect name.
“How do you like the name Bounce?” Splint asked. The Hex Hound nodded and began to splash in the lake, playing with a not-so-happy magikarp.
“Yeah!” the Hex Hound exclaimed. “Bounce! Bounce! That’s my new name! Bounce!”
Splint smiled. This was going to be the start of a new life for her…

“Proffessor, the contagion of the disease is high. It is very likely it will spread amongst many of the experiments if we don’t do something. If we don’t do anything, all of our emperiments will die and all of our progress will be lost. Any ideas?” A young, black haired girl with about shoulder lengthed hair said.

“Dispose of any carriers of the disease, from the looks of things, our only option is to kill the four of them. Their used to be five carriers of this disease, correct?” the professor replied.
“Yes, but the Hex Hound has been thoroughly disposed of. We do not have to worry about it.”
The professor scratched his short, straggly beard as he held up a black trash bag. It was blood stained, and several holes were in it.
“You failed to kill the Hex Hound. This is the fifth time you have failed to properly dispose of something, and now experiment 09508 is loose somewhere possibly spreading that disease. Do you realize, that because of your failure to kill, our cover could be blown if the disease is traced back to the lab?!”

The black haired girl whimpered slightly.

“I’m sorry… but I can no longer bare to see these pokemon die. First the eevee, then the vulpix and houndour… they did not deserve to die.”

The girl gasped in fear as the professor pulled out a loaded pistol.

“You WILL kill the other four carriers of the disease immediately, or this may be the last time you’ll ever speak against me, understood?” The professor demanded, but the girl smiled as the clattering sound of cages breaking open sounded, and the sound of exactly four cages falling to the ground and the cries of pokemon as the carriers escaped.

“I weakened their cages and showed them how to get out when you weren’t looking. Good luck finding them, you son of a *****!” the girl shouted. A gunshot sounded out, and the bullet missed the girl by an inch. She ran as another gunshot rang out, this time grazing her hair. At last she was out of the lab!! Now, if only she could—

Her thoughts were silenced permanently as a third bullet hit her in the back of the head, an instant kill. Her body hit the ground, and the professor shut the door and locked it.

Splint the Pikachu had hardly realized how dangerous life with Bounce could be as she remained oblivious to the events that happened at the building…

Ah, no problem. ^.^ This is leading up to a good story.

Oh, and for future reference, you can double post in your fan fictions.

oh. I've already finished editing in chapter one, but I'll keep that in mind. what if you've already double posted and its been a week, and no one has replied and you have chapters ready? Can you post again, or do you have to edit in the chapter? I have that problem with my other story and I'd hate to break rules, so I haven't done anything with it.

Aww, Dearie you're getting better at writing these tearful, emotional stories. I loved the girl's reseverence towards the end-to see a character with such a strong personality it always fun. Bounce and Splint-for some reason I'm thinking something's going to go terribly wrong between them, but who knows?

Anyway, I'm so glad you followed my advice on spacing. It makes it a lot more easier, but this time I'm suggesting that you proofread your work before you submit it. There were a few spelling mistakes, although nothing distracting. ^.^

Of course! ^~^ That's the only way you're going to get people to read it! Just make sure you don't update every five minutes.

Update every five minutes? I wish I could write that fast. lol. But in the meantime, I've noticed that I really should space out my stories... I think I'll space out some stuff in my other story, seeing as t looks all jumbled up to me now. ;D
I can tell, writing te endings of both stories is gonna be so much fun.

Oh, I just meant don't update every few hours or so. You want to "feed" your reviewers steadily. That sounded weird. Anyway, yes, fun is what it's all about. ^.^ You have fun writing a fan fiction, you win.

You've made a lot of progress in this fan fiction over time. And it's just not the spacing; the length is getting better, the description is improving, and the plot is wild. You should be proud. ^.^

If you have any more questions or whatever, feel free to ask.

oh thank you. ^.^ I'm ever happy to hear that. I have chapter two!!! :D

Chapter Two: The Hunt begins

Fallen leaves were stirred up in the air as four creatures of the night (Or at least they were active mostly at night,) ran by. At the lead, two rather unorthodox pokemon kept a fast pace as two younger ones followed, struggling to keep up as they panted and gasped for air.

Finally the two lead pokemon stopped, leaving the other two to bump into each other and collide into the adolescent ones.

“Ouch!” cried an eevee with a seviper’s tail. She had red slit eyes, like a demon cat, and had long crimson fangs poking out from her mouth.

“That was my tail you landed on, Zephyr!” The eevee’s black fur ruffled with annoyance, her light gray mane glittering briefly in the light of the half moon before she carefully worked her venomous tail from underneath a very exhausted meowth with a tailow’s wings.

“Sorry, Tox… it was an accident. Would it kill you not to act like you have a bug up your *** all the time?” The meowth/tailow combination retorted, fluttering the small wings at his side as his scissor-like tail opened and closed. The meowth’s eyes were that of a bird’s, and they were a dark, deep brown. Zephyr had deep blue fur with red markings on his cheeks, and his whiskers ended with white tips. The bottom part of his neck and chest was white.

Tox scoffed.

“Would it kill you to stop being such a prick?” She spat, her blade like venomous tail lashing to the side. Zephyr grinned.

“Oooohh…. Feisty. That’s how I like ‘em.” Zephyr said, winking at Tox. Tox recoiled then lunged forward, poisonous blade like tail just an inch from Zephyr’s throat. Her red slit eyes glaring.

“Don’t ever assume that I’d ever like you, Zephyr. I can’t stand you!” Tox exclaimed, while Zephyr ducked cautiously away from Tox’s incredibly dangerous tail.

“Take a chill pill, Tox, and learn to take a joke.” Zephyr laughed as he nudged Tox’s shoulder with a paw.

“We all know you want me, Tox. I know it, you know it, Fang knows it, and even the ever oblivious Rex knows it.” Zephyr fluttered the small wings at his sides again.

Suddenly the smooth, handsome voice of Rex sounded from a few yards infront of them.

“Cut it out, guys. Your lovey-dovey fests are annoying. At least Fang and I are quiet about it.” Rex was a handsome combination between gyarados and mightyena. He had a long black gyarados’ tail and a fin on either side of his body. His eyes were a deep sea blue, and he had an aura of grace and majesty about him. His lover, Fang, sat beside him. She was a graceful absol/vaporeon combination, with a white vaporeo’s tail, crimson eyes, and a small fin on each of her cheeks. A long ridge of black spines started from the horn on her head to the fin of her tail. She was quite a beautiful site, actually.

“What?” Zephyr said, his playful brown eyes lighting up. “I was only teasing Tox. It’s not as if I actually like her.”

Tox spat in disgust. “That’s digusting, Rex. I don’t like Zephyr. Not if he was the last boy on this world!”
Fang’s beautiful tail waved gracefully to silence the two bickering pokemon. Her beautiful voice seemed to carry across the small clearing, it’s musical sound was soothing to hear.

“You keep telling yourselves that, dears.” She said with a small smile. Zephyr and Tox turned their heads away from each other, as Zephyr trotted up to Rex and Fang. He was tired and needed some rest. But Tox’s ears twitched, and she sniffed the air.

“Guys… GUYS!!!” Tox shouted a little. Everyone looked up at Tox. Tox continued sniffing the air.

“Someone’s coming. Two pokemon… a Pikachu… and… and… I can’t tell the other one…”

Tox ran to the rest of the group, as they tensed, prepared for a fight. The bushes rustled a little.

“This is where I heard them, Mommy. I think they’re from that one place!!” a young voice sounded out. It was a little high pitched for a male’s voice, though. The group of fused pokemon relaxed as they saw one of their kind burst through the bushes, a houndour with the tails of a vupix, Followed by a Pikachu that was slightly older than Fang and Rex.

“See, Mommy? I told you! Did I do good?” The little Hex Hound asked, bouncing excitedly. The Pikachu opened her mouth to say some words of praise for Bounce, when she got a closer look at the little group of pokemon. They were all fused…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back in the dark gray building, the professor had developed eight new fusions…
Specially designed and trained to hunt down and kill the five carriers of this contagious disease he had called Fusion sickness. He knew that these… super fusions would not get the disease, because they had been vaccinated shortly after creation. With these, the professor hoped, he would be rid of those pesky disease carriers soon enough…
The professor turned the eight fusions loose as they howled with a lust for the blood of those that carried Fusion Sickness. They wouldn’t fail. They wouldn’t lose. Their minds were all one concioussness. Many pokemon were blissfully unaware that their lives may end this night…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~

The eight hunters tore through the forest, stirring up leaves yet hardly making a sound as they neared their prey. The leader of the pack could taste the blood of his prey already as the scent was getting closer and closer. As soon as he sensed his prey on the move, possibly running away from their swift and deadly approach, he knew, and the whole pack knew, that the hunt was on...
