I need help with my Diamond party. You see, I re-started it, and I only have my starter. I need help choosing which pokemon to get.

Abra?
Gastly

Staraptor
Machoke (or machamp)
Steelix
Any poison pokemon
Any Ghost pokemon

For right now, catch a starly, and a shinx. If you need it, catch a bidoof for HMs.

I'm not the type who uses the 'beginning' pokemon. So cross out Staraptor. And I don't like Machokes. but everything else, i'll considern it.

Are you sure? A Flying/Normal pokemon is a very effective type choice... But your game... =/

You can also try to catch an Abra/Gastly early on. You could swap-train the Abra. Both will take down pokemon quickly once you evolve them. But, they are both very fragile and won't be able to take many hits, so you may not want to run back to the pokemon center every time they faint.

If you need a flying Pokemon in Diamond, try out Murkrow.

Yes, I thought of that, And I have a Alakazam in my leaf green, but, It might not listen to me when it evolves. ^_^" I had that problem in my first Diamond game. As for gastly, I'll try it. Where do you encounter it?
