Pokerus question

I was playing my emerald version today and i found a shiny golbat and i wanted to know why that, if i see a shiny i should have gotten the pokerus sometime soon/earlier, my battery is dead so time based stuff is off, so will i get the pokerus on emerald or not?(oh and my firered version needs pokerus too and i also wanted to know if i can get on there too).

Shiny Pokemon and PokeRus are rare, but neither is connect, so I guess, no.

Is it possible to get the pokerus in firered or not? someone said this before and he said that in order to get pokerus on firered and leafgreen, i needed to trade a pokemon with the pokerus from ruby/sapphire/emerald.

I think it is... I don't really know. You may want to search for "FireRed Pokerus" and find out.

Pokerus exists in all second, third, and fourth generations games. In third and fourth generation games you chance of finding one is 1/8196. I could go into a long explanation of why that is, but my thoughts are unclear at the moment so I'll just say it has to do with 4 our of every 32786 bytes representing wild Pokemon will have Pokerus. Now, this reason is different in Diamond and Pearl to the best of my knowledge since diamond and pearl are 32 bit games, thus making the possible bytes sooo.... much higher.
