<<Story>>
The Akatsuki is on the rise. They are on the hunt for something. Nothing and no one can stop them or stand in their way. No one is safe, especially for the ones they hunt. (Short story, read the bios)

"Faster, Kisame..." Red eyes and fast feet blur through the forest. Kisame, the large sharkman followed his partner, like a shadow. He grinned, showing his razor sharp teeth, "I see her..." Kisame cackled, rushing in front of Itachi and in one swing, took his sword and batted a smaller figure from its feet. Itachi landed on a tree branch, glaring down at his target. The young girl looked back up, terror in her eyes as they saw him through her broken glasses. Itachi smirked a little, hidden from his cloak, "Sora Kumori... why do you flee? It's pointless. It does nothing but waste my time."

Sora gasped and jumped out of the way as Kisame slammed his sword down again with a laughing grunt. She was weak from the first attack, but rolled to her feet and moved fast to run again. Kisame growled, dashing after her. Itachi activated his Sharingan and chased after her from the trees. Itachi was even with her, staring at her. Sora glanced at him. Something, a vine, jumped at her, tripping her. She hit the ground hard. Zetsu burrowed up from the ground, opening his flytrap, staring at her. A large bird-like creature nearly crash landed on her as Deidara laughed.

Hidan and Kakuzu walked out. Hidan began to transform into his demonic-looking form. Sora got up, but snakes slithered up and wrapped around her. They coiled tightly, squeezing the breath from her. Orochimaru laughed from the shadows as he walked up, moving the hair from his face. Itachi jumped from the branch and landed in front of her. He lifted her chin, staring into her eyes. No matter how much she fought to look away, the more she found herself staring into his eyes. Itachi moved closer to her ear, "We're here."

"...What?" She questioned.

"We're here." He said again in another voice. Sora snapped back to reality, waking from her sleep. She panted some, startled from her dream. Once again the voice said, "We're here.... Hey! You hear me?"

"Yeah! Sorry!" She got up and hid her face, reaching for some money, "Sorry... I dozed off." He handed him some money. The man laughed, "No problem. It is relazing to set sail at times." Sora jumped from the boat and landed on the shore, "Thank you. Have a safe voyage." She bowed and walked off, still unsettled about her dream.

Ensifer had found himself amongst a ring of people, crowding around a small table on a beach. There were two people sitting down at the table, arm wrestling.

*SLAM!*

The left one won.

"Step right up and try your luck at a game of arm wrestling! Only a price of five coins! Drop it into the pile! Win and you get the pile! Try your luck, any challangers?"

A man stepped up and dropped five coins into the pile.

"Ready... Set... Go!" They started. The man to the left's hand started to drop. The announcer set his hand to the bottom of the table, and there was a small flash. The man to the left slammed the other man's hand down and stood up, dancing victoriously. Ensifer sighed as he saw the flash and walked away, to sit on a table. He pulled out his sword, playing around with it as he noticed a small boat coming in and a figure jumping off it.

Red slipped from beach house to beach house like sand as she continued her scouting duty as ANBU. Her face, although concealed behind an abstruse mask, missed nothing as she took in the normal details and festivities of a beautiful day at the beach. The only thing she currently yearned for was lying on the beach herself, enjoying a sweet soda and possibly having men rub down her back with suntan lotion…but she stopped herself. Being an ANBU was an honored job, and scouting in the morning was a respectable duty for such.

“Nothing out of the ordinary,” Red finally concluded as she threw herself into a nearby tree. The monkeys occupying it barely noticed her (Ms. Swizzet was wide known in Konoha for her stealth and mental abilities) as she finally relaxed. She watched a ship as it boarded, and a figure came off.

(How'd we get at a beach? Boats can, and 99% do, travel down rivers in the Naruto world!!)

Sora, far away from any beach, travelled by herself. She moved into a forest, trying to find herbs and fruit to eat and store for further use. She was sad, being alone all the time, but also bringing herself and others bad luck.

Shiny Espeon
06-25-2008, 06:44 PM
((At the same time you did not say that you weren't at a beach; you left the setting to be chosen by us by not telling where Sora was.))

Having completed her scouting duties, Red returned to the Hokage’s office for the real start of her morning. She was anxious to begin a type of S-classed search mission, or any other high ranked outing to quench her thirst for justice (yes, in a way, Red was hard core and very bored). She was dismayed when Tsunade ordered her to scout the forests once more.

“Shisou…I already scouted there,” came her soft voice, muffled by her mask. The reference to the hokage as teacher was normal for Red, and her shisou replied, “Yes, but I want you to search again.” Then, with an evil grin, she took another gulp of sake and sat down at her desk.

Red did not have to be told twice. Slightly confused, she jumped out the window and leaped into the forest.

((xD Ok, I'll be good.))

As she leapt around the forest for the second time today, Red finally noticed something unordinary. As quiet and dangerous as knock out gas suffocating the air, Red once again settled herself into a tree. She noticed somebody walking around aimlessly, just walking…Red did not see any headband on the new comer, and that soothed her immediate suspicions just a little. Still, this person was unidentified, and that was a weakness.

“You there,” Red lazily called from her spot on the tree, her voice gentle yet holding the authority she had grown to have over her year as an ANBU. “Are you lost?” She chose to ask over other questions that could have been annoying or harassing.

Akai
06-25-2008, 07:02 PM
Sora looked around, "Hm? Oh!" She looked up to Red. "Lost? Well... a little. Can you tell me what villages are in that direction?" She pointed west, the direction she was headed for no matter what the answer was.

Shiny Espeon
06-25-2008, 07:20 PM
Red stared in the vague direction of west for a few seconds before she looked back to Sora, her eyes trying to understand the new comer. “Sweetie, that village is the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Would you like me to escort you there?” She asked in a motherly-like voice. It seemed that becoming an ANBU made Red at least ten years older than she really was, and although it sometimes startled her she also laughed at the reckless thought. But then again, was it really so reckless and imaginable?...

The lithe ninja plummeted to the ground and landed about a yard away from Sora, waiting for her answer but already beginning to walk back to her village, wondering if this person would follow.

Akai
06-25-2008, 07:25 PM
She quickly looked through her collection of headbands, walking behind Red. She ran up to her, hiding her face, "Is there anything past the village? What lies beyond it?"

Shiny Espeon
06-25-2008, 07:37 PM
Red automatically thought of the newcomer’s questions as infiltration into the Leaf Village. Although the innocent queries were as simple as children’s questions, the way Sora said it confused Red…and why would she need to know? What was she looking for, what was she planning to do once she was “beyond” the village? Red carefully memorized the question in her vast mind for further use before looking back at Sora through split holes.

“A few tiny towns lay beyond the Leaf,” she answered calmly, no trace of her mind’s debate in her voice. “Were you planning on heading there?” she inquired while still looking straight.

Akai
06-25-2008, 07:44 PM
"I'm just travelling. I don't want to bother ninja villages." She stopped, holding her stomach, "..." She took a fruit from her pack and munched on it. "Can I ask your name?"

Shiny Espeon
06-25-2008, 07:49 PM
Red considered the person’s words for a few seconds, remembering that she had to be neutral until she had facts; “jumping to the wrong conclusions could lead to unnecessary fights and pain,” Red reminded herself. She would have to report all of this later when she came back, anyway, so it didn’t really matter.

“Red,” the ANBU replied, not too quickly or too slowly. She took a glance back at this new person without moving her head before she decided she looked harmless enough. “And your name is?” That was an unspoken rule among ninja. You did not give out information unless asked or told to do so.

Akai
06-25-2008, 07:58 PM
"My name is Itsuwari... Everyone calls me Wari for short." She smiled a little, the friendly gesture hidden by her scarf. She looked at Red, "Does the Hidden Leaf Village have good food? It's been a while since I had a hot meal. I've been so busy travelling, I forgot to eat." She laughed a little.

Shiny Espeon
06-25-2008, 11:57 PM
Itsuwari? Red repeated in her mind, before thinking of how strange a name that was. It sounded like another rare name, like the name she was born with or the name of a drifting traveler. Red gently reprimanded herself in her mind as she contemplated how that could be a false name, a way to infiltrate the village. She always thought this way, coming to immediate, violent conclusions, because she would never let her guard down. No, she was not vulnerable even in her thoughts; in fact, her mentality was, without a doubt, the strongest part of her and the toughest. This hardened mind kept the name secure for research later.

Red thought about the next question with as much attention as a child pays attention to the teacher: absorbing and understanding albeit bored. “You will find the food in the Leaf quite satisfying.” she rolled off her tongue with sureness. She was silent for a second, never really talking for long as she had few friends to engage conversation in. She was surprised to find herself conversing with Wari, “I know what you mean. It sucks to go without food for so long,” she said with a blush that was concealed by a mask.

Sora giggled a little, "I know it seems odd, but I do forget to eat sometimes. But when my stomach grumbles about being neglected, I start to remember. Can you show me to a cheap place? I'm afraid I'm a little tight for money right now. I spend my last bit on a boat ride here." This was mostly true. She did forget to eat, mainly because she was running for her life. She didn't really want to spend time in the village, since the Hidden Leaf sounded familiar to her. She know she heard it from someone... but who? She looked off, "...Do I require identification to enter the village? You seem curious of me. You've yet to remove your mask." She walked past Red, smirking a little. Two can play this game.

Shiny Espeon

“You do require identification to get in, but the matter is short and I will escort you in when you are finished to bring you to a food shop,” Red said once more, her breath collecting in moisty condensation that disappeared within the mask as soon as they appeared. They would be reaching the guards soon, and although Mitsu and Shinmaru were both meticulous and wary, the sight of Red would allow them both immediate entrance to the village. Little privileges like that the red-head cherished, for they made being an ANBU more bearable.

“My mask…” Red started, pondering if her words were out too quickly. “I have to wear it at all times,” she said with a tired gasp. “As a precaution, but it does get weird having something block your face for so long,” Red finished. With a swift, creamy hand Red swept behind her head and pulled her long silky hair out of its red ponytail. The shiny straight locks of red fell like a soft dress that trailed behind her. When her hair was out, Red felt as if she had more freedom and that, in a way, the mask was off.

Ensifer wondered why there were two people talking in the forest. He could see them from his point of veiw. He noticed that one of them was one of the ANBU. He moved closer, thinking that it might be some secret. But, when he heard the conversation, he was dissapointed. He watched as the one without the mask walked away.

“Hn.” Red simply replied to Wari’s comment regarding her face. The teenager knew better than to fight somebody simply based on their degrading words; it was like when she was a little kid and she threatened a student for eating her apple…childish revenge.

Truthfully, she would have gotten angry, but she knew she wasn’t ugly or terribly deformed. It was actually quite the opposite; Red’s face was strikingly beautiful for a perilous ANBU’s profile, albeit she had a hardened look in her eyes of somebody who had seen a lot of death.

They soon faced the guards, and Red imagined a mother squirrel facing the junior squirrels. She knew she was stronger than both these ANBU, although they were both older and wiser than her. Nethertheless, they took one sharp glance at both Red and her company and issued them in with a wisk of their chain mail arms. Red nodded at both men in greeting before walking into the gates of Konoha, wondering if Wari was following her.

Of course, she had felt another chakra signature trailing faintly behind them, even coming so close as to eavesdrop on the two. She didn’t find it harmless, though, and left the guards to deal with this other wanderer.

As Ensifer sat at the table, thinking about where he should go next, he noticed a rather tall man in a uniform walk up to him. He tilted his head, wondering what he was coming at him for.

"Are you a resident at this beach resort?" Asked the man.
"Um, no? Who are you anyways?" Ensifer replied.
"I'm a gaurd here and I'm afraid that you'll have to leave."
"Look, I'm just sitting here doing nothing. Why do I have to leave?"
"If you do not leave soon, that I will be forced to remove you against your will."
"Look, I'm not going to leave! I'm just sitting here-"

The man lunged at him, but Ensifer was out of the chair in a flash. The man kept on trying with no success. He pulled out his rapier and rapped him with the broad side of the blade. The man stumbled around for a second, then looked around. There was no one around him but the crowd of people around the arm wrestling table.

Sora ran fast, stealing whatever she could as she made her way through the village. She got to a secluded part of the village, eating her spoils. Almost like the "knuckle-head ninja" Naruto, she gulped down several times her body weight in food. With a full, happy belly, she kicked back in the shade and closed her eyes for a snooze.

He pulled out his rapier and rapped him

((XD Sorry, couldn't help it. That sounds like something else.))

Red thought her mission was over. The newcomer Wari had successfully found a delicious scent in the air, so she left to pursue it. Without a second thought of the other ninja, Red had returned to the hokage tower to report her adventure with Wari. As there was currently no major crime in the city, Tsunade gave the rest of the day off to Red.

Satisfied she had done something good for the day, Red slipped into the Swizzet complex. She met with her mother and older sister before changing into a fresh tank top and stripped skinny jeans. She let her hair go free, allowing it to fall in lazy locks around her face and running along the arch of her back. She also set a ruby clip shaped in a flower in her hair, giving it an extra boost of shine and beauty. Finally, (and most painstakingly for her, as she did not like to reveal her face) she took off her ANBU mask to reveal her gorgeous face.

"Yes, this looks good," Red said as she bought an apple at one of her favorite stores. She was a civillian now, and she happily engaged in her off day.

She ran into her favorite part of the city, a secret shaded part of the village where she could relax and eat in silence. She was about to take a bite of her apple when she noticed Wari surrounded by food wrappers, sleeping in the shade. A regular person would have thought this person was just sleeping, but Red clearly remembererd Wari saying she had no money.

"Wari." She stated in an even voice. "Get the facts first," her mind told her.

Akai
06-28-2008, 09:12 PM
She fell to the ground, curling up. She was happy for once in a long time. Her belly was full and her mind was calm enough to sleep. The wrappers crinkled under her as she shifted, trying to get comfortable.

Shiny Espeon
06-29-2008, 03:47 AM
Red observed the sleeping figure before her. She was clearly in a peaceful state, enjoying the sun enough to fall unconscious within its warm touches and caresses. The shade was also very nice, dreamy and mood setting...The "civiliian" stopped her thoughts before she fell to the land of sleep too.

"Wari," she said slowly this time, picking up a stick and poking her in the side.

Akai

[Pocking?]

She snapped up, "Get away!.... Oh, you're not them." She heaved a sigh of relief. She rubbed her "pocked" area and looked at Red, "...Who are you? ....And why are you poking me?"

Shiny Espeon
06-30-2008, 04:20 PM
((Sorry! :D))

Red inwardly frowned when Wari said something about "not being them". It made her think she was a criminal in chase from the ANBU or jounin in the area. She winced at the way her sudden company did not remember her, and it did not help the situation that there were several food wrappers (seemingly unpaid for) scattered on the ground. What a drag-Red had to think about her next move now.

She could simply walk away, a "civillian" who had mistaken Wari for somebody else. That was the easy route, the normal way and she could go back to her day off. But...she could also try to turn Wari in, but seriously...that could result in a fight, and Red did not appreciate the idea of her fashionable clothes getting ruined in an attempt to bring somebody to justice.

However, Red knew her conscious like the back of her hand. Even if she didn't want to, she would end up trying to arrest Wari. ANBU mask or not, she had skill and the help of her ANBU badge snuggling in her pocket.

She sighed before asking, "Do you remember me?"

Akai

She looked at Red hard, "Oh! You're that Ruby girl... right?" Sora got up, stretching. "I think I overslept." It had only been an hour, but that was long enough for Sora. She smiled at Red, "Thanks for the grub. It was good. Later." She walked off, leaving her litter on the ground.

"Did you pay for this food?" she asked in an even voice. If she had her mask, she would have had an amused expression on, but she didn't so she kept a causual expression (one of the many reasons she loved her ANBU mask).

Akai

Red had lived in the Village Hidden in the Leaves her entire life. She knew darn well people didn't just hand stuff away like it was Christmas, no way if the Hokage say. She restrained a laugh as Wari tried to run off.

She sharply followed after her, silent like a ghost.

Sora broke into a sprint, running as fast as she could. She easily scaled the wall and fell to the ground, continuing her running as she made it to the safety of a forest. Now she could hide a little, or use the forest to her advantage.

Red giggled a little as she chased Wari into the forest. This was fun, simply because it felt like a child's game. Red had chased other people before, but then she was in her ANBU outfit then; she had been on duty then. True, she was trying to bring somebody to the surface of the law now, but she was in her regular clothes now. This felt like fun!

Sora panted, running through the forest. She slipped behind a tree and a pair of large blue hands grabbed her and pulled her back. She let out a gasp, which was quickly silenced by one of the hands. Her arms were pinned at her side as she struggled effortlessly.

"Nice job, Kisame. She didn't even see you." A soothing, evil voice said, as the source walked forward, peering at Sora with red, glowing eyes. "You can't run anyway." Sora squeaked a little, wiggling in Kisame's arms.

"What now, Itachi? Can I take her chakra?" The large man chuckled, almost enjoying the idea. Itachi closed his eyes, smirking some, "Yes. But keep her alive. Leader will not be happy with us if you kill his parcel." Kisame grinned, all his vicious teeth gleaming in the shadowy sunlight. He released Sora some, but kept her silent. His oversized sword came from his back to Sora's side, sinking in. She groaned, getting a sick, weak feeling. Her struggles stopped as her body became weak. Itachi watched, narrowing his eyes some, "Let's go. Someone approaches."

"Right... I'll finish later." He replaced his sword and tossed Sora up, putting her over his shoulder. The two flickered out of site, appearing in the branches.

Red was an oblivious child now, running around the forest in circles and joyfully trying to find Wari. She had not had this type of childish, loud, rambunctious fun in a while now and it did feel good to actually play a good game. After another minute of erratic sprinting, she finally collapsed on the ground and breathed in heartily.

It was then, on the moist soft ground, that she noticed two different chakra scents in the air.

Of course they were extremely faint, but darn it all, Red should have noticed them. Both chakra signatures were overwhelming once she realized they were there, and a sense of panic took over. These signatures could not have been Wari's, they were far too strong and too faint. The ninja took care to make sure they were hidden.

"ANBU no jutsu!" Red yelled out, suddenly shrouded in a cloud of pink smoke. When she leaped out of the gas and onto the treetops, she was now clad in her ANBU uniform, and her mask.

"Who took you?" The ninja asked to herself as she leaped through the trees, following the scent like a hunter dog.

Sora's body was trying to shut down and sleep, but she was trying her best not to fall for it. She reached in her robe and pulled out a small sack of marbles. She, for once, was happy to have grabbed a child's bag of toys and not money. She carefully gave her last bits of chakra into the marbles and let them drop. The carefully laid orbs fell to the forest floor, waiting for someone to find them,.... to find her.

Shiny Espeon
07-06-2008, 01:56 AM
Red had been silently yet violently searching when she noticed something on the ground. Curious, she first stopped in place on a large branch, analyzed the object, and then leaped down. Like a snake, she grabbed the marble, saw another one after that, and nodded to herself. She then began to fall the marble trail, just like Hansle and Grettle...

Akai

Sora memorized Kisame's running pattern enough to drop the marbles in time so they'd be unknown until later. Itachi's eyes shifted to her and narrowed, "Kisame." The shark man stopped, throwing Sora out of focus, and the marbles from her hands. They fell to the branch below and rolled to the ground. Sora froze, shaking a little. Itachi jumped to the ground. Kisame followed, "Why are we stopping? We don't have time."

"There's always time for punishment." Itachi replied, walking to face Sora. He lifted her chin up, "So... you're leading someone here, aren't you?" Sora averted her gaze upon him. Itachi lifted her chin up further, "Tell me!" She clenched her eyes shut. Itachi growled some, "Tell me or I'll break you in two!" Sora made the mistake to take a small glance. Her eyes widened, looking into his eyes. Itachi smiled, "Good girl... Now... let's see." He looked in her eyes, putting her into a torture. Months went by in her mind. Tears fell from Sora's eyes, reliving the torture over and over again.

"Itachi Uchiha and...fish boy," Red casually said, taking a proud stand on a tree branch. She understood what was going on here, coming to the conclusion that the S-class Sharingun user was now putting Red under torture, and that these two were either sent to capture her or randomly torturing other ninja. Either way, Red felt she had to get Wari out of that maniac stare.

"Mind control jutsu!" the ANBU said, gathering all her focus to take control of Itachi's actions. It would all be over in the midst of Red's family jutsu, the special abilitiy, and then the two ninja could run far away from here....

"What do you think you're doing?" A sly, velvety voice lolled from behind Red. Impossible! She had not sensed the chakra scent! But, at the same time, she had to use all her focus for her special jutsu...

"I don't think so," Sasori's silky voice murmered again before Red felt a harsh slap on her back. She fell to the ground, barely catching herself. "Sasori," Red thought with disgust.

Sasori. S-class Akatsuki member. Assassin of two Kazekage. The man who transformed himself into a puppet. The sole killer of thousands of inncoent souls. The psycopath who had lived for more than twenty years without aging. One of the most dangerous puppeteers Red could ever have the misfortune to face.

The ANBU did not have time to ask Kami (God) why he hated her so much, for her lucky intuition automatically told her that she needed to get away from this ill omen as soon as possible. Quickly recovering, she threw herself into nearby bushes with what she thought was the speed of light. She reserved this kind of chakra use solely for times like this, and now she needed to think.

Alright. There were four of the most dangerous men out there in the clearing, one of them hiding. Red had focused enough to distinguish the chakra scents, and she sensed an extremely faint one not too far. She knew that Deidara was the partner of Sasori, and she did not panic. Red needed a way to save Wari and herself. She started creating a strategy with that brilliant Swizzet mind, passed down to her from the strongest Shinobi.

"There you are," the voice said, so soft and silky that Red would have been infatuated had she not been concerned with her survival and her friend's. Sasori widened those beautiful crimson eyes of his, and before anybody could tell what was happening he had her tiny body controlled with invisible chakra strings. He dragged his new toy over to the clearing (he did not have to move any part of him except those deft hands to kill) and smiled.

The body exploded into a cloud of pink smoke, only to leave Sasori to a freshly cut log. He beamed at the way she had tricked him, his thin lips curling slightly upwards as he thought about what a graceful and killer puppet she would be when he got to her.

The puppet turned around and directed his chakra strings to his hands. Oh, how lovely she looked, a killer stance centimeters before him with a kunai etched into her porcelain hands. Sasori, of course, took no panic to this. He had been in near death situations too many times and it was simply blasphemy to ever think him scared. Instead, he fought her, waving those hands with grace, as if he the couple were dancing and not fighting for their lives.

Red was only sixteen; why was it that she had to fight so hard at such a young age? Here she was, throwing her kunai and trying to slash her way through this inanimate object with a heart and he was as nonchalant as a rock. Actually, it looked like he was taking interest in her; Red was utterly creeped at the way he seemed to be memorizing the lust of her long crimson locks and the petite yet matured figure of her body. Great, she was fighting a pervert and a killer at the same time.

She must have done something terribly wrong to upset the Great Gods above, for it seemed she had made a wrong move in the game of the ninja and the...puppet. Sasori finally started acting like the monster that he was, and he thrust out the kunai, sending Red rocketing with blood spilling out her stomache. A thud was heard somewhere yards away, too low for the human ears, and Sasori smiled to himself.

"You wanted your turn with her. Give her back later."

The monkey in the middle was agile, quickly getting up to see what was happening. Oh Kami that was a trip to remember; she was flying through the forest with a simple push of a kunai. These really were killers.

Forget that. Red analyzed to see that she had a nasty wound on her stomache, blood darkening the gray ANBU uniform and splashed upon her mask. She simply could not see with all that warm, silky red covering the eye slits on her mask. With a groan (she was bruised everywhere) she took off the mask and made an attempt to wipe the blood off. She would have started crying if she knew how; she was lost and she had lost and now she was severly injured. Her body was simply burning, and her eyes watered at the way her stomache was gashed.

"You have a lovely face, un," the dark, sinister vocal murmered behind her. Of course-here was another Akatsuki member! Why didn't they just take over Konoha now?

After a moment of laziness, she turned her head to Deidara. The very feminine male with long blonde hair and a bright blue eye was smiling at her in not a creepy way, but an inncoent way. The long, forebonding cloak swept the ground as the man approached her, silent like a ghost, although his chakra scent was now obvious and very overwhelming.

"I guess here is where you kill me," Red stated with no ounce of hope, her eyes locked on Deidara's bright eye.

"It was, but I don't like beating people up, un," his evil voice contradicted his words. Red let an amber eye roll over the man, curiously deeming him...not safe, but ok.

Deidara saw her stare, and smiled again in that sweet angel look. Oh how she was expecting death so soon! The girl could have been five years younger than him, but she had a proud, hardened look to her. She had seen death before, it was obvious, and Deidara knew first hand what it was like to expect death. He knew she had a terrible, forebonding feeling surging through her; it was not fun.

"You are too lovely to die now, un," Deidara started, smiling at the way her eyes started to light up aagin, "I got a second chance at life. You deserve one too, un," he finished.

Before she knew what was happening, the clay maker was suddenly in her face, and for a moment she thought he was spilling lies. However, he then put those strange hands with mouths on her head and-she felt his ckakra running through her? A pleasent feeling leaked through Red, and she could only close her eyes and relax. She felt her energy coming back to her, revitilizing her and giving her life. The wound on her stomache began to close, only leaving behind stale blood.

He was healing her.

It was over far too soon, and Deidara scooped her up in his masculine arms. She caught a whiff of his sweet smell, and inhaled deeper. She was a child in his arms, and how that felt so good. She was safe, albeit ironic since she had just been badly bashed by his partner.

"Now, run away, un. The next time you see me, I might have to kill you," he finished with a sad tone as he let her go and urged her towards Konoha. Red nodded, and surprisingly, gave Deidara a hug.

"Thank you," she whispered. She began walking off before she remembered something.

"Deidara! My friend is back there, being tortured by Itachi!" How could she have forgotten?

"I'll take care of it, un," his voice came to her, although his body was already jumping through the trees. What a remarkable ninja he was, to give her back her life! She owed that man, and she knew that if he ever needed help she would have to return the favor. He just betrayed his partner for her, a little ANBU who almost died.

And now he was going to save Wari.

Red looked back in the direction he went, admiring the man a little too much.

((Man... that was a little too long))

As the fight went on near them, Kisame had Sora on the ground, sucking her chakra out, leaving her but a little live off of. Itachi paced some, "...A little more." Kisame looked up, "You sure? I already drained a lot out."

"A little more." Itachi repeated himself, growling some. Such traitors. Deidara, how dare you. You best not defy me. This girl is more valuable. Don't throw yourself away for some... silly girl from that village. Itachi sighed some, "Keep going until I come back." He walked off. Kisame looked a little worried, feeling Sora getting closer to death, but he dare not defy Itachi.

"What? Three members of the Akatsuki?" Tsunade repeated with vigor in her eyes. She dropped the bottle of sake in her hands, letting the expensive bottle drop to the ground. The whole piece seperated into millions of tiny bits of glass flying all over the place. The powerful Kage then stood up from her seat, slammed her palms on her oak desk, and yelled, "Shizune! Gather my top ninja, right here!"

Red stared at the woman before her, admiring her authority yet scared for the poor ninja who had to face the four monsterous killers out in the clearing. She had been lucky, and she wasn't sure if saving lives was what you could call a habit from a master of the clay.

She could only hope that when she went out there again, her comrades and her would be powerful enough to at least escape with their lives.

Deep down, she also wished Deidara would get out of the war that was soon to follow untouched.

"Itachi," Deidara murmured with such a dark tone it would send shivers down the toughest shinobi's spine, "Did you take care of your pet, un?" He approched the man before him, slowing down his pace.

Deidara chuckled, his deep voice vibrating his lean body. "I was wondering when we could go back to base and get something to eat, un," he replied, his body rumbling again. Truthfully he was really hungry, and that's the only reason he wanted to go back. He had no doubt that the little ANBU teen he saved earlier was safe-Deidara was just a man who liked his clay and who grew hungry easily.

~*~

"Is that understood? I want everybody to follow the strategy. Now, head out!" Tsunade ordered, ushering her top ninja out the door. The group of ten nodded before disappearing.

Red took a long glance at the Hokage before Tsunade eventually answered for her, "You want to go out there too. Then go," she said with a smile on her lips. The girl nodded before slipping on her mask and vanishing.

"Very well." Itachi turned and started back to Kisame. "Stop. That's enough." Kisame nodded, taking his sword off Sora. The girl moaned a little. She couldn't move. Her amrs... Her legs... She couldn't feel them. All her remaining chakra centered around her vital organs, trying to keep them going. Kisame picked her up. Sora was like a ragdoll in his hands. Itachi walked up and pulled out some rope, strengthened with his chakra. He took Sora's hands and bound them behind her, "No more trails to follow. You belong to us now." He looked off. "Deidara, gather up Sasori. Let's be off."

((ooc// danna = master, I think.))

Deidara looked at the woman before him in Itachi's hands, a doll with little life to live on. The blonde did not feel an ounce of compassion for this ninja; he had saved her friend, and he knew that the noble deed was more than what Kami could expect from such a high-ranked ninja. So, he turned on he heels, happily yelling out, "Sasori-danna!" He knew he was in trouble with his idol.

Sasori walked up to Deidara, a storm brewing behind those crimson orbs.

He had not given back his pet.

She was going to be a very powerful doll.

No little ANBU ninja body = no doll.

No girl + Deidara = something very suspicious and sinister.

The red haired man bore his eyes into his partner. Oh, he knew he wanted to make that girl a doll the minute he saw the lust in his bloody eyes. Deidara never crossed or disobeyed Sasori; he was his role model in the perspective of art, correct? So why had he not brought back a body? The puppeteer expected a bleeding, broken, beautiful dead ninja, dammit!

"Deidara...where is the girl?" Sasori said simply, loud enough for everybody to hear. He took a stand in front of his partner, obvious that he was not leaving until he got a good answer. He didn't care if he was being a nuisance to the others; he was like a child in the way he would not depart until he got what he want.

"Akatsuki! Put your hands up!" The Konoha ninja team had arrived.

"I killed her, blew up her clothes and then threw her over the village, un!" Deidara yelled to his partner, scaring himself with that wild tone. Sasori stood stiff for a minute, Sora limp within his arms, before turning away. He smiled as he rocketed into a tree, Deidara following closely behind. The blonde's cheeks began to redden at his own folly, and Sasori began to mock him in that playful, smooth tone.

"She's still alive."

"Yes, un."

"Deidara's getting a soft side."

"Sasori-danna!"

"You'll get your punishment when we get home."

"Aww, un."

And those were the last whispers of dialogue between the two as they bounded through the trees, fast as The Flash yet quiet as Ratman.

~*~

"Come safely and we'll spare you your lives," the toughest ninja said, staring straight at the two Akatsuki before him. The others lay in the trees, hiding, waiting for their chance to kill.

Red almost gasped when she saw that Wari was no longer among the two. Why did Kami hate her so much?

"Now!" The shinobi yelled, complimented by the eerie sounds of kunai clashing together. Bodies forcefully moved through the trees, weapons of destruction who were ready to give their lives. This was the way of the shinobi, death. Your life was given for the village, sacrificed so that the kind people of Konoha could live to see one more day. BANG-one ninja fell down, not relieved to die but happy he gave it his all.

Red was among the mental war, slipping through the trees and trying to figure out a way she could use her special jutsu. A kunai hooked on her finger, a bloody ring that she was ready to exploit on the devils known as Akatsuki. Truly it was odd to see such a young girl ready to kill and to give her life to the kill. But, this was the ANBU. She was an ANBU. She would have to kill right here, right now.

The only Akatsuki she had compassion for was her savior, Deidara. The rest of these filthy, cold bloods could burn in heck for the rest of eternity.

~*~

"No! Don't make me, un!" Deidara yelled out, shaking his head and making his hair dance.

"You're under punishment. Do it," Sasori ordered with a solid tone.

The threesome (or twosome, considering the way Sasori had Sora in a steel grip in his lap) were back at the base now. They were in the Akatsuki living room, a surprisingly calm room with an ajoining kitchen. The clean, large windows were wide open, revealing the white and spotless walls of the living room. The large, flat screen television was supported by the brand new furniture within the room. True, they were killers, but the Akatsuki also desired a nice living space.

"Fine, un..." Deidara droned with a groan. He was standing in front of the T.V., various dolls of Sasor's scattered on the floor. His face began to flush as he picked up a doll and began to dance with it.

"I'm too sexy for my land, too sexy for my land New York and Japan," he started. "I'm too sexy for your body, too sexy for your body, the way I'm disco dancing!"

Sasori burst into laughter, while Deidara kept on dancing with the dolls and singing.

Itachi watched his clones from a treetop perch. Kisame was having too much fun himself, slashing wildly at anything that moved within a few feet of him. The shark man laughed with a crazed tone at all the blood he was spilling from his enemies. Itachi groaned, "Ugh. I'll throw him in a river to clean him off." The Uchiha ninja scanned the battleground, looking for off-guard ninja to snipe out of their misery.

"Thank you. I turn dead ninja into puppets. They are quite...cute," Sasori finished as he tacked on a wig to a puppet. His dolls were quite something, they had such a real aspect to them one of the foolish might think them living and breathing people. Puppets were weapons of war, Sasori's best fighting technique. Such dolls would never tire, never desire human needs, woud be extremely dangerous to any adversary...Sasori should know. He was a puppet.

"Danna, how do you think they're doing back there?" Deidara was in the adjoining kitchen now, slurping up ramen like a very feminine version of Naruto starved puppy. His other mouths were eating clay in little ceramic bowls next to his ramen cup. When Deidara was hungry, every part of him was hungry.

"They'll be fine," Sasori answered, still working on the broken doll. He was so rapt in his experiment, he did not notice the worry etched into Deidara's one eye.

"I'm going to check it out, un," he replied again, his words slightly muffled by the napkin he used to wipe his mouth.

"You get bored so easily...but go," the red-haired man muttered. Honestly he couldn't care less, he knew the Akatsuki out there could easily take down that entire squad. If Deidara wanted to arrive just to clean up the blood, then Itachi and Kisame woud gladly greet him.

"Thanks, un!" the blonde replied like a child, walking out the large doors of the Akatsuki mansion. He slipped his tan hand into the little pouch on his backside, letting one of his hands eat away. Tiny teeth devoured clay, and in a moment they were done. Without a word, the clay master threw his hand into the air and BOOM-a large bird exploded from his palm. The blonde walked onto his white steed, and in another moment they were tearing through the sky.

"Show-off," Sasori muttered as he stringed the wig on.

Oh yeah, this left Sasori and Sora stuck alone, together. Oh snap.

~*~

Red stood admist the murder, not focusing on the liveless faces of her friends but instead looking at their wounds. They did not give her justice, and she could not come to a conclusion as to how the two Akatsuki members were attacking. It seemed Kisame was just going on a sword tantrum, slashing through anything that came too close with that freakishly huge sword. Itachi used clones, and Red had used her stealth to avoid him.

How long could she take this? Running away from Itachi's clones, watching the way her teammates threw themselves into death...it was astonishingly tiring. Her eyes began to water.

"No," Sasori told Sora in his smooth voice. He then roared like a bear so she would get his point (what? Sasori is not human!). He looked over Sora before asking, "Would you like a wardrobe change?" The adept puppeteer was...odd.

~*~

"Rin, Kairi, Shsessmaru..." the girl murmured to her deceased friends. She had taken cover in a tree while the wave suddenly took them all away, too fast for her to even try to save her friends who still had a heatbeat. She put a pale hand on the face of her best comrade, Momo, closing her eyelids and letting her own tears drop to the teenager's face. Momo was more than an ANBU, she was her true friend.

"Why Kami, why..." she asked to the great heavens above her, staring into the eerie light filtered by the sullen trees. "Why didn't you take my life earlier? Am I immortal, is that it!" she yelled, her voice croacking with these stumbling tribulations. Death was a terrible thing, and it didn't really hit you until somebody you loved was killed. People you ate and trained with were ruthlessly murdered in unforgiving homocides.

"If that's the case just kill me now! Since I don't deserve to live..." she shouted again, not caring if the Great God would send her to heck for the rest of eternity for her disrespect. She stumbled to her feet, and fell back down, as if the pressure of all the deaths was literally crushing her. Her vision flickered, blurred with maiden's tears.

She was through. Kami could kill her now, for if He didn't the depression of this massacre would. It would suffocate and intoxicate her, a disease without a cure. Why was is that everybody was killed, and she would always come out unscratched? It was always like this, even when she was just a small child-she use to laugh when she thought she was untouchable, but there was nothing to celebrate about.

Deidara had been the only audience to her screaming. It was so sad; why was it that this young teenager always had to go through such pain? First it was physical, and now it was completely mental. Deidara knew better than most shinobi of what it felt like to watch your friends die.

"...Un..." He simply said as he approached her. She was in trauma now, her head in her hands. She was completely still, and even as Deidara came a centimeter away from here she would not move. The man still didn't know what he was doing as he gently held her and walked back to his clay creation.

She would not say a word as they flew back to the Akatsuki base.

Sora gasped, building up her scream, but Hidan's other hand cupped over her mouth, leaving her to squirm and squeal with objection. He glanced to Sasori, "She yours? Hidan was the biggest donkeyhole in the entire Akatsuki complex, and it was common for him to make woman scream. Not in the good way, either!

"Here we are, un!" Deidara softly whispered as they flew straight into his window on the third floor. His room was quite large and relaxing, but Red didn't even notice. The white creation Deidara made earlier blew up into a work of sparkles and glitter. He smiled at that for a moment before placing Red gently on his bed. "Come on, un...you'll be fine. Depression radiated off the girl in waves, and Deidara set her in his lap and began to rock her. This is a rare moment in Akatsuki history, a moment where a cold blooded killer becomes soft. Deidara couldn't care, though; this ANBU was now in his possession to care for, and he would comfort and care for her until she felt better. If she felt better maybe he would just keep her! That way she wouldn't have to be pained any longer...she would be safe within his stone embrace...

"Err, Deidara," Red started. She had finally put her hands down, and although you could still tell she was a mess she was also somewhat better now. Her voice croacked as she cleared it and continued, "Thank you so much for what you've done-"

"No problem, un!" the blonde interrupted, content in this sitting position. Red chuckled before she started to say something again, but then...

She heard a scream.

It was not any scream.

She knew the person behind the scream.

The person who she had escorted earlier.

The woman who was sought out by the Akatsuki.

Something clicked in place in the girl's head, and before her mind could keep up with her actions she was out of her savior's lap and running down the Akatsuki steps.

When you see a girl you wanted come rushing out of your friend's bedroom, what other impression do you have? Sasori knew this ANBU girl was still alive, but how dare Deidara defy him like this! This was past boiling points, this was simple and stupid defiance. The blonde boy would have some real punishment coming his way, but he would deal with the root of evil first.

"Where do you think you're going?" Sasori asked in obvious fury as he grabbed a kunai out of its holster and tossed it in Red's direction. She would have sustained a fatal injury had Deidara (who had been running behind her, trying to catch her and avoid something like this) not caught the weapon. "Sasori-danna!" He loved the man before him like a true brother, but he would kick his clay balls out of here before he ever tried to get up into his space!

"No, un," Deidara started, for once losing that childish tone in his sinister vocal. All that was left in his voice was the dark, manly voice that was servered solely for times like this. "That girl is mine. Understand?" the blonde ordered, as if Sasori was some child and he was the adult. He inched closer to his danna, that vicious pool of ice blue freezing Sasori in fury.

Time seemed to slow as Sasori leaped into Deidara, a kunai in hand and a roar ripping from his throat. The opposing force replied by yelling at him and fighting him back.

"Watch what you say teme or I'll kill you from the inside out," Red spat, her vicious voice for once not muffled by her ANBU mask. The girl was usually never this vehement in tone, but darn it, this Uchiha and his partner had slaughtered her friends. She knew is was ludicrous to insult such a dangerous man, but she meant every word of her statement with her full soul. In fact, she wouldn't mind a fight with the ninja right now just to slap him silly for once!

"ANBU girl, un!" Deidara whispered to Red as she was handed into his arms. She was crazy! Who dare insult Uchiha Itachi and not expect death? Yet at the same time, the blonde admired this girl. She wasn't just going to stand around like a rag doll and let Itachi go on without at least knowing the pain he had put her through.

She was too interesting, too fresh. Too lovely, too lively.

"You're finally going to die," Sasori said, standing at the top of the grandeur Akatsuki stairway. "And you'll make a lovely puppet when your boy toy kills you," he added with a smirk. He let his spidery white hands grace her cheek and then smiled at her disgusted expression before walking down the stairs. Deidara adverted his eyes from his defeated partner during the entire incident, for it their eyes met he knew Sasori would know he would not kill Red.

The duo walked to Deidara's room without the pressure of dialogue, Red's heart skipping beats. She was going to die now, she knew it. This man before her had saved her life, not once but twice, and it was suicidal to think he would dare do it again. Especially knowing that he had orders to kill her added to the sour anxiety surging through Red. She might as well thank him now and say good bye to the world.

"Deidara?" Red asked with a croak as he closed the door behind them.

"Yes, un?" The blonde replied, avoiding her crimson eyes.

"I would just like to say thanks for saving my life twice and for caring for me," she replied, her sweet voice soaked in honey. This was her kindest tone, an innocent voice without the drag of a lie. Deidara was silent for a moment as he set her on the bed. Red was not surprised to see him take a kunai out of his holster.

"Deidara, can I do one more thing before I die?" she asked with a pleading tone.

"....Yes, un," the Akatsuki member replied. He stared into her hopeless eyes, and couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. It was his fault she was here, forced to suffer death. He had saved her, playing against the rules of fate. And now she was doomed here, a victim to be killed by her own savior. She was too young to have to die like this, too fresh to the world. And now he would have to take that all away.

He was surprised to see her praying, her pale hands clasped together and silent words leaving her lips. Deidara understood she was probabaly thanking Kami for the sweet experiences she had, the joy she had in this world. It was a cruel world, and to see an ANBU thanking God for life before she died was a painful image.

It was over too soon, and Red looked straight into Deidara's eyes with the full comprehension that she was going to die. "I'm ready now," she said with a kind tone, as if something else was going to happen on this bed instead of her death.

Deidara could only stare back at her, a statue frozen in awe.

The kunai in his hand escaped his icy grip, droping to the floor with a clang.

"What would you like me to do?" Sasori asked Itachi with his smooth voice. He looked at the girl in Itachi's arms, blood dripping down her body. He groaned at the cuts on her, and soon understood that he would have to heal her. Why was he always on healing duty in the Akatsuki?

"Just stop the bleeding and keep her alive." Itachi spoke low. "You may restrain her anyway you like and have your fun." He looked off. "...Ugh. Hidan will clean up her mess."

"Aw, f**k! Come on!" He whined some. Itachi flashed his red eyes, telling the fellow member that he was serious. Red had really pushed his buttons. Itachi walked off. Kisame smirked some, "Well... I suppose he's going to play a little." He followed eager to watch something's torture.

"Ah, we are trapped together yet again," Sasori told Sora with a famous Sasori smirk. He set her in a chair before carefully using his special chakra strings to immobilize her. The puppeteer pervert took a long, analytical look at her before unrolling the bandages. "Are you sure you would not like a wardrobe change?" he asked again as he touched her skin to get a closer look at the damage.

~*~

"Deidara...aren't you going to kill me?" Red asked, breaking the eerie silence that suffocated her. If he was going to kill her, he need not feel guilty-he had already saved her life, and it partly was her fault that she was in this ugly situation. After all, hadn't he told her to run back to the village? He had also said the next time they meet he would have to kill her. So, Red knew this was all her fault and that she deserved the kill. She just wished he would get it over with already.

The Akatsuki member finally broke away from the mental spell her eyes trapped him with. He silently picked up the kunai he had dropped, before slipping it back in its holster. He looked at her again, this cute bundle of female innocence before he ultimately made his decision.

He would not kill her.

"What is your name, un?" he asked with a faraway voice.

The question took her by surprise, but she couldn't say Deidara putting the weapon away didn't shock her either.

"Red....it's Red Swizzet."

Sora breathed out whimpers, "What kind of wardrobe change? You just want to see me naked, don't you? Ow..." She winced some, trying to move. For now, only her finger tips could move in twitches to the pain she felt. "Is it... Does it look bad?" The cuts on her stung her fiercely. She knew the cuts weren't deep, but the pain made her worry. Maybe Hidan used poisoned kunai. Maybe her skin was being eaten away. She shook a little, closing her eyes, trying not to think of that.

"I've seen thousands of naked bodies, both men and woman. It does not faze me," Sasori said truthfully as he examined the damage. This looked like the bloody effects of poison kunai, and Sasori made a note to slap Hidan later for making this work harder. He took a cleansing cloth out of the first aid kit he had next to him, and began to easily dap at the purple flesh.

"This isn't too bad. I've seen far worse from Hidan victims," the red-haired man said with a smile as he tossed the bloody cloth down to the floor. He then unrolled the bandages, whilst carefully keeping control on Sora.

"Did you hear somebody yelling?" Red asked, not because she really heard anybody but more so because this situation was becoming awkward. She was still here, locked inside Deidara's bedroom while the blonde simply stared at her. She imagined he was contemplating ways to keep her alive, or to keep her away from Itachi at least.

"No, un," Deidara stated, too absorbed in her to really care about anything else. He looked down, and imagined what Sasori would do if he found Red alive. No, if he beat Sasori he had to give him at least some respect. Itachi and Kisame were a different matter, and Deidara did not like the idea of fighting with them.

Sasori was not a caring man. He dragged poor Sora down the stairway until they finally reached the first floor, where he continued to pull her around until he finally propped her onto a kitchen chair. The chakra strings were still active even as he turned around to open the pantry. There, in the huge storage, were stacks upon stacks of food. Sasori turned around to smile at Sora. "No, I could have sworn I heard a scream," Red distantly said. The teen admit that this was very realaxing, but at the same time it was strange. Sitting in Deidara's room, just staring at each other...Red was a person who was always on the go. It was flattering to see Deidara taking interest in her, but all together this was a weird situation.

"Yes, it was Sora," the blonde replied.

"Oh," Red simply said. She would have been more hyped, but right now Deidara seemed to put her under a sedation jutsu by just sitting across from her. "We better go check it out," Red added in a calmed voice. She got up from the soft bed and made her way to the doorway.

"Un," the faraway man said as he followed close behind her. The proximity of the two was nary a centimeter, and when Red turned around to show Deidara her confused expression he backed up a few centimeters. She figured that was all the space she would get, and was embarrassed to find that she didn't mind.

They made their way down the stairs as Sasori put a cup of ramen in the microwave.

"Sure," Sasori said above the gentle murmer of the microwave. He was used to Hidan being the pervert, and he knew that when he didn't get his way things turned ugly. So, he wouldn't mind-he didn't want to be the one to feed Sora like a baby anyways.

"I swear to your Jashin God, if you make me heal her again..." Sasori started, taking out the noodles from the microwave. Seeing as Hidan was in pain, he kept the chakra strings on Sora as he began to stir the spicy seasoning into the steaming soup. He blew gently into the bowl, letting the wispy steam curl up to the spotless ceiling and disappear.

Deidara and Red arrived then. Sasori wriggled his nose but did not say anything; he secretly knew that his partner did not have the will power to kill this girl. He had the bravery to do so, he had killed many other this way, yet he simply didn't have the willpower to take her life. He understood that now, but it still angered him.

"We'll have some too, un," Deidara casually said, as if everything was normal and they were all just college roommates sharing a microwave. He opened the sacred pantry, revealing the rows of various food. He let Red awe at it for a moment before he took out a bowl of noodles and put it in the microwave. It buzzed as Deidara leaned against the wall and Red went to stand next to him.

This was awkward. Sasori expected her dead, but here she was, casually waiting for the noodles to be ready. Hidan was here too, and Sora was now about to eat some noodles too. Red wondered how this could get any stranger.

She gets bound to chairs and fondled by murderous men. Why was everyone picking on her? She leaned forward some, staring at the floor. Tears fell from her eyes, thinking over her life. Was she too scared to move, or did she just not want to leave Deidara's side? She couldn't clarify her own instincts as her own anymore as she hung her head low.

Sasori saw through her mental conflict, and he smirked to himself. "Serves that snitch right," he thought with triumph. He finished stirring the noodles and walked over to Sora, sitting by her and releasing the chakra strings. "You may eat now," he said as he handed her a fork.

The blonde liked to play jokes like this on people, but he did not like getting kicked in the face. That was simply out of the question! How dare that girl hit him like that! She would pay.

Red, taken by surprise, had mixed feelings. However, it all focused around confusion and surprise. Why did Sora do that, and what was up with that crazy chakra scent? It was far too overwhelming, like the obnixious smell of a demon. Red was also quick to pick up the fact that Deidara wanted revenge-no! He began to contemplate what the demon wanted with her, and blocked her way when she tried to get to Sora.

Red muffled a yawn, forcing herself to stay awake to watch out for her friends. She took in Sora's sleeping form, content in Deidara's arms and smiled. She was glad she could at least have some sleep now; they had both had hectic days, beginning from this morning when Red escorted her to the village all the way to abuse, Akatsuki members, and now this. At least Sora could finally revitalize herself...

"Tired, un?" Deidara read her mind, smiling at her drooping eyes. A lot of things had happened for this girl today. Her life had been in crisis not once but thrice, and she had managed to fight against Sasori and Deidara and live. The ANBU teen had witnessed a demon in action, and she even went so far as to making friends with a dangerous Akatsuki member.

"I hope she doesn't think this is all a dream when she wakes up, un," Deidara thought to himself. He didn't want her to think this a fantasy. Even now he liked her a little too much for what an Akatsuki member should have affection for. It was a nice twist, the blonde admitted, to be smitten with somebody and have feelings for once. It was refreshing if you thought about all the kills Akatsuki performed and all the times a member had to miss love and living.

Eyes getting heavy and senses dulling, the threesome stalked up the stairway. Red thought she was dreaming already when they finally got to Deidara's room, for everything seemed so mystical and unreal. She was tired now, very tired...if only she could relax for once this day and have the chance to jump into Dreamland...that would be nice, very sweet and...

Red gasped when Deidara threw off his cloak and the shirt underneath. Ok, she was awake now! Of course, Deidara had hardened muscules and what looked like a...six pack? Red didn't even want to clarify it as she was memorized by it, the ripples in his chest and the proud form. Embarrassed, she finally looked away, a blush serving her right.

"Sorry, un! I sleep with my shirt off," he said with a smile. He hadn't meant to throw her on, but since he did he gained a type of satisfaction from it.

Deidara's king sized bed was immaculate, clean and soft like a cloud. Deidara set Sora on the bed, seeing as there was no other soft surface for the sleeping ninja to relax. Next, Deidara snuggled into the bed himself, not getting too close to sleeping Sora although comfortable as a baby. He threw the sheets on, yawning as he did so. So tired he did not have another thought about today or anything that happened today, he was then sound asleep.

And then the virgen slept on the floor next to the bed with a : ( face. She was not comfortable sleeping in a bed with that many people. She felt a large pang of rejection, because she thought Deidara forgot about her.

Naturally, the rock hard floor was not very appealing to poor Red. She could not go to bed in this odd predicament. Silent tears began to fall from her eyes, and she pretended it was because she was not in Konoha. Deep down, though, she knew the instinct of rejection and she had just been slapped with it. She would have been ok if Sora had to sleep on the floor, then she would be able to sleep. But here she was, the young sixteen-year old who had to sleep on the frikken floor while the older teens slept in bed together...

"Yes mom, I would like a double of what you're serving..." Deidara murmured in his sleep.

Oh that was enough! Not realizing that this was not the blonde's attention, Red slipped out of the room and down the Akatsuki steps. It was an admirable thing, Red had to admit after thinking about it.

The sun came to life then, illuminating the forest and reaching its first rays across the sky. The gold of it made Red comfortable, and after a night of sleeping in the coldness of dark she was rellieved to be the sun's first friend. The radiance soacked into her skin, and she rubbed herself to spread it everywhere. In his panic, his heart finally returned to its normal pace as he saw her. She looked wonderful in the tree, her mask strapped on the top of her head like sunglasses. She was still in her full ANBU uniform, the gray material glowing ever so beautifully against the sun's morning rays. The black scarf she wore curled around her matured body, showing the true shape of her lovely curves as she sat relaxed, one leg propped up. But of course, her wonderful face was the true attraction, her gaze far out into the sun and her lucious hair spilled behind her.

"RED-CHAN, UN!" Deidara yelled at the sight of her. He sent revitalized chakra into his feet and plummeted up to the tree, so excited he used too much chakra.

"Deidar-" She began with confusion before BANG. The overexcited blonde slammed right into her in an atomic hug, knocking both of them out of the tree. Deidara turned around his half nude body as he grabbed her close to him and prepared to land.

"AHHH!" Red yelled as Deidara gripped her. Of course she was mad at him, but the way he held her gave her no movement at all. What if he wasn't planning on landing in his overenthusiasm?! No, he had to...right? Either that or they were both going to be severly injured!

"I'm so glad I found you, un!" He exclaimed like a child, his face beaming as the velocity wipped their hair together and all over the place. He continued to grin as if nothing was happening and they weren't falling feet to the ground.

"DEIDARA!" Red screamed, her first invigorating scream of the fresh morning. Red wasn't too sure, but in that instant she felt as if there was more of a thrill to falling with him than she thought. The way they were tearing through the air together, screaming at each other...what were these feelings she was feeling? It was more than fright, it was a lot more...

"I got it, un!" He yelled back. He did have it. They both soon landed safely on the ground, their crazy hair all over the place. Red laughed, her voice jolly and refreshing, like bells. Deidara soon laughed a duet with her; this was so odd! Yet it was nice to have her again, to know that she was safe...

"Ugh. Women and their problems," Sasori started, sitting besides Sora on the floor. He held the towel close to him as he looked at her and sighed. Sasori was sexist, most of the Akatsuki knew that, and it was rare for him to listen to a women. Being perverted was one thing, but listening to those whining women was another thing in total!

"First it was that ANBU and my partner who was apparantly cheating on her, and now you're crying," Sasori sighed again. "Ok, what's wrong?" he asked with a drag in his voice.

"...As if you care. You just want me for your sick little dolls... I'd probably more useful to you like that." Sora wiped at her eyes. "It's not fair. I get picked on, and Red gets treated like a queen. You saw the way he looked at me, didn't you? I was in his way. Stupid Red. I hate her." She looked at Sasori, looking over his body. "You... your body. It's not real. It looks like one of you doll's bodies."

"Please. You are beautiful enough to be one of my top dolls, but I have orders not to kill you," Sasori admitted with a smile. Truthfully this was a gorgeous shinobi with a matured body, yet who held a female innocence. She was the type of lady Deidara should be dating, but no, he had to get himself mixed up with a lost sixteen year old. But, that was just Sasori's thoughts on her looks, and of course nobody cared.

Sasori took a long sigh before turning back to Sora. "Trust me, I don't like her either. She's all lost, she looks like she can get knocked up at any time, she's far too young to be a shinobi, and at ANBU status she's not that much of a deal..." he babbled on, revealing his true insight. Where Deidara seemed to only see the positive things about that little girl, Sasori instead noticed all the ugly triats of her. The man had a faraway look as he finally concluded, "And yet, there is something about her that Deidara loves, a way that girl attracts him without doing much...I still don't know what it is."

Sasori closed his eyes for a second, still contemplating that special triat about Red. He was a man who understood many things in his thirty years+ of life, and it annoyed him beyond belief that he did not know the answer to Red's enigma. For all he knew, she could have been a spy sent by Konoha just to pry Akatsuki secrets out of Deidara! But at the same time, that made no sense-the events did not fit together, and yesterday at Ramen Hour Sasori could easily tell that Red could not lie. If she wasn't a spy and really just a girl who fell into this situation....no, Sasori would not believe it.

"But..." the puppeteer started again, flashing a dazzling Sasori smile at Sora, "Don't hate him for loving her. Deidara has never had the experience of real love in all of of his years here as an Akatsuki, and I will be dammed if anybody takes that away from him." The man finished in a decrescendo of words and an angry whisper. It was true, Deidara had lived with him for year after year, and Sasori was his parner for most of that time (after Orochimaru departed from the organization, of course). The man knew his "little brother" well enough to know that he never got the chance of love. Now that it finally hit him, Sasori would do all he could to make sure he got the full experience before Deidara was sentenced back to a loveless h3ll. "Even if I don't like Red, I look after Deidara and I will make sure he gets the experience," Sasori whispered without realizing it.

The man was brought back to the present at the mention of his body. No, he was not human and he would never be one again. The only human part of him was that container that held his heart...even his emotions were not human. The purple wires holding him together, like he was one million pieces put together and not a full statue, the unnatural way he moved, trapped like a real doll forced to move his own strings to walk...Sasori loved it.

"I am a doll Sora," Sasori said with a sleek laugh. He had made himself into one almost twenty years ago...He would never have to do so again. In fact, he was cursed with never having to experience death and blessed with never having to attend to silly human chores such as wounds.

"You really seem to care for Deidara... I'm jealous. I took my brothers' care for granted. I should have appreciated it more." She sighed, "I missed them. I wish I could have just said goodbye before they died." She shook a little. The sensation of Deidara's skin reminded her of so many things, but for the moment he was forbidden to his touch with Red around. Either she'd get jealous, or Deidara would go into a blind rage just to impress Red. Sora nodded, understanding Sasori's present body. With the slight turn of the head, she smiled some, "You hungry? I can make you breakfast.... and, um... I'd like that wardrobe change now." Okay, he wasn't Sora's true love, but he kind of agreed with her. At least she had that. And he did offer the wardrobe change. Maybe the offer was still valid with him.

"I should have said good bye to my parents before they died, but you get over things like this," Sasori said, focusing on Sora. It was painful to see them go, and the repercussions of the deaths vibrated in his hollow soul for years. It was only now that he was truly past their sudden leave in this world. He was at the point where he could go a day without thinking about them, and Sasori thought in more years to come he would never have the burden of reminiscing them. Oh, how he was oh so wrong...

"Actually, I don't eat," the man replied with an angelic smile. He loosened up the towel wrapped tightly around his plastic and wood body to reveal the storage of open storage of wires where his real stomache should have been. Sasori was literally a coin operated boy without coin operation, and these wires were only a sample of what the rest of his "body" was made of.

"You can eat, though. I have to put on some clothes, unfortunately," he said as he scooped himself off the floor and walked out Deidara's room. Before walking out of the fancy doorframe, he turned back around and replied, "When you want a wardrobe change, come to my room. It's right across the hallway from this room," he finished before walking into said room. He locked the door behind his half nude body, and then smiled to himself.

"No way, un! You thought me and Sora..." Deidara asked with an amused grin on his happy face. Here was another half nude, although this one had frizzy blonde hair. A lazy albeit muscular arm was wrapped around Red's tiny shoulder frame, and although she promised herself she would be mad at him she couldn't help but feel a surge of natural excitment at his courtship.

"Well, it seemed like it! You were saying things in your sleep and Sora was saying things and since you were too tired to notice me..." Red murmured, feeling awfully rediculous for her uneeded jealousy. It seemed that when Deidara held her, all her anger just melted away, through the earth and into somebody else...he was refreshing.

They neared the back of the Akatsuki mansion, where Deidara's room was only yards above them. His open window revealed a few of his clay accomplishments, and he grinned at the sight of them. However, when Deidara then pulled her into a tight hug, a bear grip so clinging Red immediately grew red, she couldn't help but smile too.

"Sorry, un," he whispered to her, his lip nary a centimeter from brushing her ear. Frozen in awe, she simply blushed again before Deidara laughed and loosened up the steel grip. They then shot back up into his room, and Red was almost embarrassed for Sora to have to see the two so close together. She backed up from Deidara a little before greeting, "Hi Sora!"

She was blushing from Sasori's openness to her, showing her his... well, if he were real, she'd be more flattered. She got up and cleared her throat, "Breakfast will be in an hours." She spoke low and walked out. Having thought about it, instead of going directly downstairs alone, she went to Sasori's room, knocking on the door. She knew if she was alone, she'd be open for another attack. Terrible thoughts of Hidan sneaking up behind her and baking her into a giant muffin bothered her greatly. She stood back from the door, heaving a sigh. Sasori knew how she felt, she hoped. She had lost her parents too, but she was never that close to them. It was her brothers that she clung to. Being the youngest of six brothers, her life was always fun.

She bit her lips, trying not to cry. Sora instead thought hard of how to repay Sasori. He did heal her when she was injured... but, then again, he was the one who gave her to Hidan. She could have smirked a 'Serves him right', but she felt like she was opening up to her... as much as a puppet can. She knocked on the door again, getting a little impatient, hearing others of the house starting to stir. Sora wondered what her wardrobe would be. Some of his clothes... or his puppet victims? She shuddered, imagining herself in something pink and frilly. She let her head fall forward, banging into the door on accident.

"Deidara, what is this?" Red asked with a giggle as she picked up a gigantic rake comb off the blonde's dresser. She had just gotten out of Deidara's adjoining bathroom (alone to all the Hidan perverts out there) and she was relieved to finally be clean. Of course, her hair was a big issure to her, and-

"It's my comb, un!" the man interrupted again as he came up behind her, wrapped in a towel. Red was wearing Deidara's shorts and an extra chest plate he had, but she would soon use her ANBU jutsu to bring back her fresh, clean ANBU uniform. She blushed again at his, once again, half nude body before laughing. She let the vicious-looking comb run down her crimson locks.

The door suddely pulled open, like a scene in an old scary movie. Of course, it was just Sasori, using his chakra strings. But who was to say he wasn't from a scary movie? Making puppets, turning people into puppets, turning himself into puppets...he could be one of Batman's best villians!

"Come in," he said as he sat at his desk, all the windows closed. Minimal light shined on his beautiful disasters, illuminating the "gorgeous" puppet parts spilled everywhere. He didn't seem to mind as he scribbled something intently on a pad, mostly Sora's body shape so he could get a hunch of what type of outfit she wanted.

"Ok...what type of outfit would you like?" the puppeteer had spoken.

"Hm?... Are you... You're going to make it for me?" She was taken back. She wasn't going to get hand-me-down clothes. This was a brand new, made from scratch outfit. She was happy, for once. No one had given her such a gift, not even her brothers. She smiled some, "You don't have to... You can just find something for me to wear. Don't go through the trouble." She was being honest. She didn't deserve it. She was brought here for one purpose, and since she wasn't aware of the demon, she knew it was probably death. She walked in and felt her way to his bed, tripping several times over a few parts.

"I wanted to come here first. I'd like for you to escort me to the kitchen, when you get time. I'm afraid that someone might.... do stuff to me." She pulled her legs to her chest. "Sasori... why are you being so nice now? Is it because we don't like Red... or is it that you're protective over Deidara?" She looked away, speaking low, "He's so lucky to have a friend like you."

"I make Akatsuki outfits for everyone, making sure the robes fit perfectly for each member. I also do custom made clothes. They help when I'm making puppets, and as long as I see my fellow members running around with something decent on I'm happy," Sasori admitted. He took another glance at her before tacking on, "Besides, it's been forever since I got to make clothes for a live human woman. It would be refreshing."

Sasori was the last person you would expect to escort a lady carefully down the steps. However he was still on his mission, and although he did not like caring for beings of the women he carefully guided Sora by setting a puppet hand pn her as they walked down the stairsteps. "Actually, I am lucky to have him," he said with a grin.

"You're welcome," Sasori managed to get out, letting the words find their way to his voicebox. He had not been kissed in years, and although the succict action did not faze his puppet body, he had to admit he was happy to get a kiss. Not creepy happy, like a rapist in New York or something but happy like a child getting their first piece of candy after a long plane flight. He let the feeling wash over his mind for a minute before dropping himself into a chair and answering her next question.

"Well, Kisame has this thing against fish. Itachi will eat whatever, as long as there's no soy in it, I don't even want to know what Hidan eats," Sasori began with a playful grin, "Kakuzu likes pancakes shaped like money, Zetsu doesn't show for breakfast and Konan will be in her room doing things with Pein," the man stated before cracking a smirk. "I will eat whatever as long as Deidara and Tobi don't prepare it, and Tobi literally eats everything and anything on the table. Deidara will eat anything as long as it smells good."

"So... I have a lot to cook then. Just like at home." She smiled with a giggled, going to the huge pantry, getting ingredients. One of the plans worked, she just hoped she could get everything ready in time. She found a big enough bowl and washed her hands, "So.... no fish because of Kisame. Is that because of him? That would a bit... cannibalistic, I guess." She dried her hands and started to combine flour, sugar, milk, eggs, cinnamon, and anything else she could think of and started to kneed a dough.

"What about some tea? No one's against that, is there?" She worked hard, turning the dough, "It goes with the food I'm making." She stopped, panting. It was hard work. She was trying to make at least three buns for each person. There were a lot of people. The mixture was still soupy and some of the flour were caked on the sides. She tried to get the renagade flour to the soupy part to mix it together, but her arms felt like jello for the moment.

Sasori was obviously not helpful-he was more like an artistic bum. He sat there, watching the dough being knead, making sure Sora would not put poison in the meal. All Akatsuki members were like that when it came to food, so one wouldn't be able to call him primitive for his pessimistic thinking. Upon his lounging, he then began to think of the confused expressions of the other members when they were called to breakfast...

"Tea is alright, but don't look surprised when you see Itachi checking it for poison," he said, beginning to fly off into his mind.

Meals you did not make yourself were a treat in the Akatsuki mansion. Maybe Konan or Tobi would make cookies every now and then, but no one ever tried to make a full blown meal for nine people. Akatsuki men liked to eat, and there was no way anybody would help you with the cooking or the cleaning up afterwards. It was simply alien to think of that.

Here was an obvious difference between Sasori and his partner Deidara. The blonde Akatsuki was the type who would like to help anybody, who would get involved in an activity with somebody else. This explains why he helped Red in the first place-he was a naturally good person, ironic despite the people he had to kill. On the other side of the spectrum, there was the lazy yet pulchritudinous Sasori. He was the man who would rather "lie on my back than help you". This also explains why he spent most of his time in his room-he didn't like being around to help another member.

Said man watched Sora with intent eyes, watching her make the dough and setting them on the trays. The last time he had watched something like this was months ago. Tobi made cookies every now and then (that jubilant, odd man) but Sasori never really bothered watching them. At first he thought it was boring, but now, as he watched, be started thinking...what kind of art could you make with dough and bread?

He had to tell his partner-in-art this. Had Deidara ever thought of this? He made clay sculptures, but what about bread sculputures? This was a stupid thought, but Sasori was very bored. "Be right back," he muttered, flying up the staires to fetch him.

Itachi walks in from outside. Small cuts and scratches cover him, signs of him being up all night, trainin himself. Kisame follows, trying not to fall asleep. They go to the table and sit. Kisame lets out a huge yawn, "Someone yell breakfast?"

Hidan hums along, showing off every inch of his nude frame. Sora hums with him, not noticing until he's up against her, poking her, "Good morning." She screams and slaps him. "Get away!" Deidara stared at the naked man for a moment, laughing at his primitive man-sleep-in-bed-with-no-clothes method. He understood why he did that, no clothes against the soft sheets felt so good and refreshing. He did that himself every now and then, but seeing as Sasori liked to come in and poke him in the middle of the night, he decided to at least wear pants when he went to bed. Besides, he wouldn't want to scare poor Red.

Said girl adverted her eyes from his nude body, focusing her eyes on the spotless ANBU uniform she wore. She was innocent of course, but like all the Swizzets, she had a brilliant mind and imagination. "Nice," she thought to herself as she saw Hidan's manhood out of her periphial vision.

Her blonde friend saw her face redden, and he laughed. He thought it was because she thought he shouldn't be nude, not because of her true thoughts. Oh how Deidara was wrong.

Sasori snorted as he stared at the man. Darn, how he wished he could turn that matuuured man into a puppet...

"Hey Itachi," Deidara greeted, as if everything was normal in the Akatsuki mansion. He had no anxiety for this man, if he was mad about Red being alive then he would just have to answer to Deidara. He knew he would be furious at him and try to kill her, but if there was going to be bombs over breakfast today, then darnit, that was what it would be. It was simple: Deidara was intent on keeping her with him and he wouldn't let this man decide if she got to live or not.

He did not eat, he had not eaten for over twenty years and he would not eat until he was reborn again. Still he had to admit that the food did look pretty appetizing, even to a man without a real mouth.

"DELICIOUS, UN!" Deidara shouted out, already stuffing himself with a sweet bun. He was joined by the other happy growls of Tobi and...others.

"So, what did you want to talk about, un?" Deidara asked with his usual vigor. The two had finished breakfast, and they were making their way up stairs to talk. Or, rather, talk to Sora.

"Sora. She seems to be giving off a...depressed aura," Red answered. It was true; her friend was sad, and she could not conclude why. She wanted to make her happy, but she couldn't because she didn't know what was wrong with her. Was it Red, Deidara, the both of them, or did she just have emotional problems?

"Hmm. I don't know why she's like that, un," the blonde lied with a trueful blue eye.

Contrary to the common belief, Deidara was not stupid. He knew Sora hated his relationship with Red, maybe because she didn't have somebody to love like him. She was possibly bitter with a tiny sense of jealousy and longing; Deidara had noticed it, but he was glad his little ANBU didn't. He knew that if he told her why Sora was truly angry, Red would not want him anymore. He didn't like the idea of that.

So he closed the door on the duo after that, and went on adding neat, neat trim. ~

Deidara gently tapped on Itachi's room, Red closely behind him.

"We were wondering if Sora was in your room," Deidara stated, bored for once. He really wouldn't care if she wasn't there-he was doing this simply because it was a request.

Itachi sighed, "She's taken over my bed, and appears to be sleeping. If you want her, take her. I would very much like to sleep now." He backed away from the door, letting light from the outside into his dark, gloomy room. Sora lay curled up on the bed, hugging the pillow, smelling it. (Itachi uses Herbal Essence :D) She shifted some as the light hit her, reacting to it as if it was something evil, and turned over, showing them her back. Itachi went to his desk, sitting down, "No... I won't give you a choice. Take her. You seem to be a girl magnet." He glared at Red some. "You can have another."

"Gross," Deidara replied to Itachi's statement automatically. Girls did like him, but although he liked them back he wasn't a playa or a pimp or some other third thing. He usually would only love one person at a time. That was gentleman courtesy to a woman, right?

"Sora, hey Sora..." Red urged, not hearing any part of Itachi's statement (why was it she was so oblivious?!). She poked her some, and before she could try to wake her up some more Deidara came behind her like an evil dude with a knife.

"Kay," he simply said, throwing Sora over his back like a sack o' potatoes and walking out the room.

Red stared at him for a few moments before he noticed, and he put his hands down and leaned back into the chair like he was tired. He let his eyes droop and pretended that he was sleeping. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, they all vanished and I was alone. I try to fit in, but they accuse me of being something of evil." She pulled her legs to her and buried her face. "I guess I'm a little jealous too... Deidara reminds me of Taiyo. It's hard to explain. My brother was so funny and nice, like him... and when I believe it is him, Deidara does something so unlike Taiyo and it hurts... a lot. I don't see Deidara doing it. I see Taiyo, and it's painful. Red listened intently as Sora spilled her heart out, the untold story of her lost brothers and lost family. She finally understood why she had yelled her brother's name and kicked Deidara, why she disliked him so much...it all pieced together like the threads of a broken blanket.

"I'm sorry..." she softly comforted as she sat down on the bed next to her depressed friend and gave her a soft hug.

"Is she emo, un?" Deidara whispered as if Sora could not hear. Innocently, he popped his only eye open and laid a blue ocean over Red with his stare. He got up from his spot on the cushion, sweeping across the floor as if his feet weren't touching at all. He took a solitary stand besides Red and laid his attention on her delicate expressions, trying to crack through to her thoughts.

The girl herself was caught in a whirl of thoughts and emotions. She imagined poor Sora, losing her loved ones to this cruel world of brutal life. She then pieced together that she was a Rogue ninja when she had first met her, only a wanderer with a fake smile set upon her lips...why must it be like this?

Her head moved before her body did, and before Red knew what she was doing she bended down to Sora. "Everybody's worthy," she heard herself say in that rare kind voice, as if she was suffering and not Sora. She let a smile find its way to her face, and Deidara grimaced at her tone and helpless eyes. He remembered this oh too well-it was like her death scene all over again!

"What did you do, un?!" he yelled at Sora suddenly as if she was the cause for Red's sympathy. She still seemed to be in her depressed trance, as if the depressions of yesterday and today could simply kill her all over again. Deidara found himself close to the seemingly possessed girl, pulling her up. It was only then that Red regained consciousness of herself.

"Deidara...what are you doing?" she calmly asked, emotion returning to her vivid eyes and color coming back to her face.

"I wish that the child-like plea of 'I wanna go home' could work right now... I wish that more than ever right now." She closed her eyes. "Just for someone to hold me and tell me it'll be alright. A shoulder to cry on. Someone to go to when I'm scared..." Her head touched the wall, as she tried to sleep, knowing she'll have a nightmare.

"Sora," Red mouthed, coming close to the other teenager. How she longed to hold her friend, to assure her that everything was ok...the past two days had been so shaky, so emotional for the both of them. It was like being on a crazy train without any way off-when would the madness cease?

"No, un," Deidara said with the force of a man. For a moment, an outsider might have thought that the vehement Deidara was the dominant husband of Red. One might have been pushed forward to that belief with the way he suddenly grasped her stomache and stopped her from coming to the crying girl, as if she was the portal to a world of misery. Red was appaled.

"Deidara, no, she needs help!" she exclaimed, trying to wiggle out of his stone grip. Kami, why was he so strong and arrogant? She could take his love and protection, but wouldn't an Akatsuki member know better than anybody to not get mixed in with emotions?!

"When she touches you...you go lifeless, un," he started softly, as if he himself was without vitality. The next moment, however, his voice suddenly excalated in volume and power, "I won't let that happen to you!"

Whatever she was, she was not good. The way bad thing seemed to happen when that Sora girl was around, the way everything seemed to die with just her presence...she came so close to hurting Red with that demon. She was a demon. She was the terrible essence. She was the bad omen. He would not stand for that.

If he could kill her, he would. He came so close to it with his motivation, he could envision the scene of Sora's dead, mangled body and the sudden bloom of wilted flowers...

"She's got to go, un!" Deidara yelled suddenly, the force of his statement so extreme it was as if a bomb went off in the room. He let go of Red, lost in blind motivation and fury. The overwhelmed girl met the ground at the same time Deidara lifted Sora off the ground and ran out the room.

"I can't have you here, around her, un," he said with a sinister voice so evil in tone something died somewhere in the world at the exact same time. He glared at the girl in his arms with such fury anybody would naturally want to cry. He continued to run down the stairs and towards outside.

"WAIT!" Red yelled. She scooped herself off the floor and tailed after the others, tears forming in his eyes. Why was he doing this? Was Deidara the cause of the pain in the first place?

"You want down, un? You'll have it!" he shouted, his furious words tearing through the air. He was rocketing now, skidding across the ground with such speed Tobi would have thought he was on speed. He was driven by fury now, not even completely paying attention to what he was doing. The only thing he was paying attention to was how nice this would hurt Sora, how very, very relieving to Deidara...he just hoped he would not get in trouble if she died in the perilous drop.

After racing outside in merely a few seconds, the sun did not even blind him. It seemed to shine bright, as if it was his idea in the sky or complimenting him on his wise decision. The wind seemed to stop in his rush, and time seemed to stand on hold. The sullen trees were so gray they seemed to promise not to bear witness to what was about to happen, the life of the forest so quiet it was an Ill victory Beat for the terror about to unfold.

Deidara did not even struggle with her; to him he was now carrying a dead body in his hands. Like a Mafia member, he would soon get rid of the evidence and return back to his mission. He slowed down in his lightenining pace as he reared his destination: the edge of a jagged hill. This was the helpful hill that concealed the mansion, the hill miles above the ground. You would need a plane to get to the top of where Deidara was standing now, and that was very good for his sinister scene.

"I hope you live. Un," he said with such an evil smirk Sasori could have praised him if he saw him in the midst of the treacherous moment.

He then dropped her straight into the pits of ****.

"Deidara! What happened?!" Red had finally caught up, late to the show again. Red was not stupid: she saw Deidara standing on the edge, no Sora, with evil etched within his innocent eye. It came together simutaenously, and when it did, it all dropped on Red like a bomb. How. could. he. do. this.

"I can't believe you! Monster!" she shrieked, her voice so shrill she had to think if it was her voice or not. Shrill or no shrill, her friend was flying down there now, and if she didn't save her in time...

She joined the drop.

Sora let out a scream as she was thrown off the cliff. Her body became weightless as the plummet started. Everything slowed down for her, even when the fall was fast. It was an odd sensation. Her screams stopped as she became dizzy and slowly started to black out. The demon chakra crawled out of her chest and surrounded her. When she saw another figure, the chakra stopped. Was it Deidara making sure he finished the job..? No! It was Red! Sora gasped, her eyes rolling back in her head. The demon's chakra exploded out, sending out shock waves and a small quake up the cliff.

Quickly forming into a phoenix, Sora spread her wings and caught an updraft, lifting up. Positioning herself, she caught Red and sailed up the cliff, shooting high in the air and flying over Deidara. She landed on the ground behind him, carefully laying Red on the ground. Demonic Sora stroked Red's cheek, curious as to why Red jumped... or if she was pushed too. The phoenix head turned around, looking at Deidara, as the Sora half of the being cared for her friend. Slowly her eyes turned and her frame stood up, turning around to face Deidara. An oddly deep voice came from Sora as she growled.

Deidara's serious stance got even more sinister as he saw Red saved by the beast. His eyes narrowed at the way she had defied him, calling him something he didn't want to hear and diving after Sora. His breathing got heavier as he imagined what was going through her mind as she flew off the cliff, if she was suicidal or defiant from the beginning. His lithe muscules tensed as he pondered the girl's loyalties. Most of all, he was struck in his heart when he realized she had ignored his valiant attempt to save her and instead risked her life to instead go after the very monster that could have killed her.

He could not be mad at her; he loved her too much to be furious. He was instead distraught over his own folly; instead of taking the situation into intelligent accounts, he acted on blind fury and almost killed both the mortals. He was aghast when he remembered that if Sora died, he would probabaly die too, and if Red were to die...he would suffer a punishment worse than death. How could he have made this mistake?...Worse, had he been wrong this entire time?

He turned his attention to his shocked partner. The intensity of the demon's jutsu combined with a free fall to Heck..she was knocked out cold. He could faintly feel her chakra, nagging at him, literally calling for his support like a child abonded by cruel parents. He could take something like this, but seeing this innocent, young, lovely thing...

Why did he put her through so much pain?

He bowed his head for a moment, thinking about his next action. He had just made one of the biggest mistakes, almost killed his loved one, and was now the enemy of a demon. He had just realized the real monster that he was, and he knew that no matter how many innocent shinobi he saved or made friends with he would always be the monster. He would always kill, always take poor lives...it didn't matter. He had the Akatsuki life.

He began taking baby steps over to his unconcscious ANBU.

The demon's wings flared, jumping back and scooping Red up. She jumped up and flew backwards to the Akatsuki mansion, carefully setting Red down and flying back to her previous spot. She snarled at Deidara, "You will not harm her." The demon's chakra skyrocketed, getting madder at the thought of everything. Sora had told her story, but she got nothing but a death threat. The demon wouldn't take it. His host was valuable to him. He was going to protect it... and those the host cared about.

He had been sorry for his maiden, but he was not sorry for this excuse of a human. Instead, he was infuriated: this whole mess had been her fault in the first place, and Deidara poured all of his fury into that thought. How dare this monster hurt Red and make her hopeless! Now this thing stood in his way, defiant in all the wrong concept. Deidara had shown his best courtesy up until now, but now he would act like the true killer he was. He was an Akatsuki, and by the end of today, this overgrown bird would remember that.

"Get out of my way or I'll kill you," he threat in his dark, masculine voice. An iron ocean glared at Sora, and Deidara tensed. Peace was for sane shinobis, and he was neither perfectly sane or a shinobi. No, he was an Akatsuki now, and peace did not exist for such a group.

That brilliant Swizzet mind was always conscious, even unconscious. The innocent ANBU was as vulnerable as a shrimp without its shell now, and although she was knocked out cold she knew something was wrong. Very, very wrong. The instinct was natural, the same surge of fear a prey might get in the mercy of a predator. The girl shifted in her sleep, not fully aware of the danger ahead of her but knowing of terror in the slightest sense of sleep.

The survival intuition of her began calling out, gently reching out to the man she called her savior. She wasn't aware of anything in her deep sleep except for a sense of ultimate danger, and it was in her Shinobi Sense to ask somebody to help her in the time of peril. Call it a survival instinct of a saving system, but her chakra began to gently nag at Deidara's...

"Darn, un," Deidara said to himself as he threw his glance behind him. The velocity of his bird slowed down, stopping the wind from slapping his hair around and giving him a chance to perform his signature jutsu. With an evil smirk, he threw a huge clay bomb in Sora's direction. The masterpiece proceeded to explode, washing the sky in a billion shards of light and a wonderful popping noise. One might have thought they were fireworks had they been oblivious to the fact that this was a fight.

Then, it came to him. The feeling gently lapped at his being, as if he was being tapped by a child. He would not have noticed the innocent chakra pulling at him at all if he wasn't acute. He knew who that sense was, of course he knew! Red was crying for help now, and darnit he would sacrifice himself for her!

Without another thought to the fight, he plummeted down to Earth.

She stared at it, watching until a blinding light and booming noise volted her body and threw her aside. The demon tried to protect the host but some of the bomb debris cut through Sora. She let out a scream and fell to the Earth, out cold now.

Itachi turned to Kisame, "Take her to my room... I'll be in shortly." He dashed to Sora, hoping his speed can be enough to get under her and catch her before she goes splat on the ground and he'll have to be forced to kill his own kind. The bomb was making it hard. Tiny, deadly shards whizzed by him, cutting into him. He zig-zagged, trying to avoid them and get to Sora.

In one corner he had his fellow Akatsuki member racing past his own destruction to save the very person he was fighting. In another corner he had a very angry Itachi glaring down at him, and finally, but not least...Deidara had his shattered ANBU lying on the ground, knocked out cold and possibly hurt from the aftershock of his own mistake.

Oh Kami better get ready to bring him into Heaven, for this teme was going dow-

The smooth shinobi had been watching the fight outside for quite some time, and although it botherered him he would not interfere. Kisame did the same, taking his sword to keep Red down in his own way. Itachi glanced to him, "If you wish to lose that arm, go ahead..." "You've never been in love before, that's why you can't see it...but you're a lot happier now. I won't let anybody take that away from you-you are my brother, and I will protect your happiness with my full being."

The duo continued the journey to the basement without the lag of conversation. Both were wrapped in thoughts and emotions, Deidara the most-he would risk his being for his self-being? He knew Sasori cared for him, even in the slightest way, but he never thought he would care this much. "I understand. I'm just tired of playing Doctor House," Sasori replied to Itachi wtihout looking at him. Truthfully he wouldn't mind if the Akatsuki somehow got a nurse, no matter what they did for one. Shoot, Sasori had been declared the doctor for so long he wouldn't mind going out to Konoha and stealing a nurse! Healing every five minutes was so annoying, and Sasori complained to himself so much he also became easily irritated with himself.

"When his ANBU wakes up, I'm training her to heal," he said defiantely to himself as he looked over his wounds. He strenghened his vision, sending chakra to his optic nerves in order to take in every little detail of pain etched on Sora. A brief moment was all he needed, and he proceeded to gently send chakra stings down from his hands and onto Sora. With meticulous precision, he began to pull small bomb fragments out of Sora. This wasn't too tough for him, but he did require all of his focus; the operation was like taking tiny bits of glass out of a wild animal and hoping the animal didn't bite back. He sighed.

"I know...." Deidara said to Itachi, his dark voice devoid of any emotion except strained pain. He really wished he could reverse this day, and never take Sora out in the first place. He thought he would be Red's hero, that he would save her like the Dark Knight he was. However, his harsh action vibrated back to her in all the wrong ways, and clearly he ended up paining her. It was not his intention at all, but he knew that there was nothing else he could do about it but top the pain in happiness. He would end up praying for her forgiveness, whenever she woke up.

"Un..." the word fell softly as he gently reached over to her. She looked so peaceful and eerie on the plain bed, her face pale as always yet angelic. She was so lovely and lively, and he could have very much ended that today. With all the nicety a killer could muster, he gently laid his hands on her forehead. He started to send chakra to her head, and was pleasantly surprised when he found that her own chakra was replying back by acceptance.

Healing was step one-that would be easy. Her forgiveness was going to be a lot harder to win back.

Here was clearly an unwelcome visitor, and Deidara didn't like that-not at all! Who knows what a ninja could do to the house? Even more, who knows what said mystery could do to Red...

The blonde turned his attention back to the one he was already thinking about. She was so peaceful, and color was slowly but surely coming back to her face. If a freefall to Heck scared her this much, who knew what a shinobi attack meant?! No, that would not happen to her. He would protect her, no matter what the cost!

His hair was a symbol of his artistic perspective, and if people wanted to make fun of that they would get his perspective right in the face.

His blonde eye hardened and he lolled his head back just a bit, so that he truly looked like a bored alley cat ready to scratch away at any moment. The more time away from the sleeping Red, the worse. He shook his head a little, making his hair dance around a bit. "So...who the heck are you?" he asked with an unamused tone.

"Ewww, feel whatThe chakra scent? Yes, I very much feel it, but I don't know who it belongs to...." Sasori replied. He had felt this chakra when it first entered the house, but it didn't really matter to him-it was only one guy, and Deidara and Itachi combined could easily take out dozens at a time.

Sora sat up a little, "...He's here."

"Kay, this guy's not straight, un..." Deidara said with his bored tone. He turned to Itachi and asked, "So, do we take out this trash or give him Sora?"

"Who's here?" Sasori asked with just a bored a tone as Deidara. They were connected that way, and currently both were bored. Well, Sasori was always bored-but just a little more now.

"Okie dokie un," Deidara's words contradicted his smooth, dark tone. He smiled evilly as he clutched the guy's arm and forced him over to the basement, as if he was a captive and not anybody important. Well...it seemed that way to him, anyway. Deidara shoved him with a laugh, the bully of the basement in all aspects. Sasori smiled and backed away, over to Red's little part of the room.

"She's awoken from a deep sleep..." the killer explained. Gently, he let his hand touch her forehead and nodded. "Just give her time to come back to reality and open her eyes," he continued. Deidara, looking more like a sick puppy than a kiler, nodded and sat next to her. A dent on the bed formed where he watched over her, the guardian who for once knew the definition of care.

"You think they're ok, un?" Deidara asked quietly, watching the scene before him like it was television and not real life. Emotional stuff like this was both fun to watch and entertaining.

"Well...he knew her, so I think she'll be fine. Let's go off now, before Red wak-" Sasori started and then groaned when the teenager stirred in her sleep. Deidara bended over her a little as she grasped the soft material before her, then slowly started blinking. Her figure sat up, and Deidara was quick to hug her.

"Hey...what happened?" she started in a groggy voice, shielding her eyes and getting used to her new surroundings.

Who was he calling an idiot? At least he wasn't the one with the stinky fish head with a lack of looks. Besides, if they were such idiots, why did Kisame and Itachi let this man in here in the first place? No, idiot was a wrong word for the killer fishy man-Baka was more fit in his place. Kisame really didn't know exactly who he was dealing with-Sasori could knock his block off and turn it into plastic if he wanted, but he restrained himself. This place was the only place in all the countries where he at least felt welcomed, where he could relax without something going on. But gosh, some of these other Akatsuki members were so annoying at times the master puppeteer couldn't help but want to-

Sasori sighed-he was far too irritated. He was a man who liked moving at his own pace, and now that things were going far too fast he did not like what he was being forced into. First, he had to lose the chance of receiving two beautiful dolls, next he had to fight over his own partner, and now there was controvery over this supposedly "strong, demonrific-demon girl" ninja. Not to mention that all this was happening in the strech of a few days! Too many things were happing, and the Gods above seemed to hate on Sasori even more now in this odd week than the rest of the year. He really disliked this-nothing was going his way, and the worst part of it was that it seemed things wouldn't change in a long time.

The puppeteer turned his attention to Deidara and his partner. He was hugging her now, explaining that everything was ok and that he was sorry for something she didn't even remember. Deidara was never like this before he met Red-the fiery blood of the girl made him go soft within a couple day's time, and the thought disgusted Sasori. This change would last a long time, and how much longer could Sasori bear it? How much longer did he have to be unloved? When was Kami finally going to take him and put him in the place he belonged from the day he spilled his own human flesh-****?

He really didn't belong anywhere, did he? Analyzing the situation, he knew he didn't belong anywhere-not in this time period, not in the arms of another. Deidara had Red, Pein had Konan, Kisame had Itachi, Sora had this new guy. No, he didn't belong-he wouldn't even belong back in his time period, twenty years ago. He was the freak, the killer who assinated his own parents and the Kazekage. He couldn't escape this ****, the sins he committed nor could he ease the guilt with love or friendship.

Look at this animal he had become, the mad puppeteer who turned others into sick puppets for his own fighting technique. The baddies looked up to him as a mass killer, the ANBU tracked him in hopes of avenging the peope he had killed, and now his own friends were far too concerned with another "demon" to care about him. No, he was not looking for care, but belonging-and no place had that for him.

With a sigh, he left the oblivious couple to their own conversation and walked up after Kisame. He was the soul without belonging, and it seemed that the Gods planned out no life for him-no, he should have died more than twenty years ago. So now the only thing he could do was bump around the bush and help out with what was going on here, for there was nothing else for a Master of the Arts to do.

"Hey. Who are you, anyway?" Sasori asked in a calmed tone to the new guy. He didn't care if Kisame approved or disapproved-he was bored.

She was feeling ok now, despite the fact that she didn't remember anything before her little concussion. Oh, but it didn't matter to her-she was safe in Deidara's arms, right?

"No, you're all just annoying," Sasori replied with a sigh. He was sour now, but he would become sweet later if all this cleared up-if it ever cleared up. He glared at the man for a bit before sharply interrogating, "Tell me who you are before I rip your arm out." He glared at him for a bit, the only one who was not pleasantly amused like this was all just a ninja comedy sitcom.

"Taiyo, just tell him. He's serious. He made his entire body into a puppet."

"Cool. So does your nose grow when you tell a lie, Pinnochio?"

"Taiyo!" She gasped. He laughed, "I'm just trying to have fun..." He went to Sasori, "I am Taiyo. I'm Sora's older brother." He took his mask off, showing his twin-like face. It was true: Sora and Taiyo were twins, several years apart, but still twins. The only difference one could tell, was that Sora had her long hair into a ponytail, when Taiyo kept his hair short. He gave a friendly smile, extending his hand out for a shake, "Please don't rip my arm out."

Sasori did not like being toyed with-no, Deidara wouldn't mind it, but a figure of Sasori's dangerous stature would not tolerate name calling. When Taiyo's hand reached out, Sasori only could do what a mad puppeteer had to do. As if the man was a toy and not flesh and blood, he grasped his being with chakra strings. For a bored moment, he trapped him in his puppet embrace, and then BOOM! With a flick of his wrist, Taiyo was soaring through the air, only to taste the justice of the top of the staircase. And of course, Sasori did this all with an unamused expression set glumly on his handsome face.

"Nice to meet you Taiyo," the man said indifferently as he passed him on the stairs and only continued to his room. He floated out of sight like a black ghost with that forebonding cape on, and Deidara could only stare at his danna in admiration. Red had a different perspective.

"Does he seem ok to you?" she asked calmly. She had only one safe conversation (a talk where she wasn't the target of death) with Sasori, and he was peacefully pleasant at that time. Now, though...Red was only worried a tad. That mad look in his eyes, the nonchalant way he threw Taiyo into the air...was he always like that?

"He's fine, un. Just give him a bit of time...." truthfully he was not fine, and Deidara knew that straight up. Sasori was always a jac-jerk, but now he was being more of a pain to society than usual. He seemed pissed off more than normal in the past few days, and although that occasionally happened to Sasori's sensitive being it was just...different this time. It seemed he was beyond annoyed-like he was angry or something. Deidara didn't know what it is, but it bothered him. Worse, what if it was his fault all this time? No, why would Sasori be angry because of him....

"I'm going to check on him. I think he might be angry at you," the mind-reader seemed to reply to his thoughts.

"Good thinking, un," the blonde said with a smile. He let little Red slip out of his grip and run up the stairs. He then sighed in the direction of Taiyo and Sora. Why was he always left with odd groups?

Sora wasn't even a little worried. She burst into laughed, shaking in Kisame's grip. Taiyo sat up, falling down the stairs, groaning a little. Sora covered her mouth, knowing her happiness would anger the murderous ninja with her. Taiyo shot her a look, "It's not funny."

"Sure it is. You made him mad calling him that."

"I called fishboy Nemo and nothing happened!"

"Fishboy... I mean Kisame is a little more grown up than Sasori." Sora nodded. Kisame rolled his eyes, dropping her and walking up the stairs, "...don't have time for this." Taiyo got to his feet, stretching. He took his glasses off, "Aww.... He broke my glasses."

"Really? Wow. I'm sorry. Do you want mine?"

"Nah... I'll be fine." He walked to her, helping her up. "Wanna go?"

"She can't.... Neither can you." Itachi walked down. "Deidara... show our guest some 'hospitality'... Don't kill him. We just gained a prisoner." He stopped at the bottom step, guarding the way up. Sora gasped, hugging around Taiyo, "No, please..."

"Dang... Without my glasses, I can't do anything that well... Wish me luck." Taiyo pushed her away. "Ok, Deidara... Where ever you are, I'm ready." He squinted, trying to look around.

"Ahahahah!" giggles bubbled up their way into Deidara's voicebox, and he didn't stop laughing for a moment or so. Unlike the solitary Sasori, the blonde took almost everything in a comical fashion-it eased the pain of so many killings. At this moment, seeing poor Taiyo without his glasses was like seeing Velma getting lost or repeating numerous "jinkies!" outloud...No, it was not funny for most people, but it was for Deidara!

With the smile of a child plastered on his peach face, the S-nin approached his unknowing "victim" from behind. Gently, he wrapped his palm around Taiyo's neck, as if he was a dog. "Here, un," he answered without a question as he led the man further down the stairs. He stopped at the basement, keeping hold of his pet's neck. The teeth of Deidara's palms were at ease...for now. Yet that innocent smile twisted itself into something sinister rather soon, and already Deidara was planning fun for his prisoner.

The blonde was too busy with his nasty plot to wonder about Red's own delicate plan.

Said girl was waiting outside Sasori's door, politely waiting for the man's response to her succinct knock. Truly it was an extremely ironic sight to see a fully clothed ANBU ninja waiting outside (quietly and controlled, one might note) a missing ninja's door. Any of Konoha's ANBU would have loved to take this chance to come into Sasori's personal bedroom and kill him theirself, especially after all the tears and fear such a man had caused. Yet, here was a young ninja, as demure and polite as if she was a maid and not a shinobi selected to kill in these types of golden opportunities.

"Sasori..." she asked the wooden door in a barely audible whisper. Honestly she was worried; besides the fact that this madman puppeteer could kill her with a simple shove of a kunai, Red was simply a person who cared about others. That was irony for you, but it was true: now that something seemed to be mentally wrong with Sasori, Red could only wonder and worry. Besides, if Sasori hadn't almost killed her in the first place, she wouldn't have met Deidara anyway, right?

Grr. Right. He did almost kill her. He caused her a huge stomache gash and bruises. Ugh. That scar was still on her stomache, an ugly reminder of her fight with him. Rawr. Stupid Sasori!

The teenager was about to leave just then, because there was no good reason for her to stay. He was a killer, right? Surely he had killed for more than twenty years now. He must have always got mental problems like this-anger, guilt, pain. Why should she worry about it? He must have gotten over it before, so he would get over it again, right?

"And that's my problem mom..." a silky voice drifted out of nowhere, and Red was snapped to attention. The voice was barely audible, and if Red wasn't a precisive ninja she wouldn't have caught the sounds. She edged closer to Sasori's door and gently laid her ear against the frame.

"I don't know what's wrong with this world anymore," the velvety voice murmured again, and Red frowned. Oh, it was that silky sweet voice that could put her to bed at any time-she really hadn't had time to admire his voice, had she? But...it was beautiful and dare she say? Hott.

Who was he talking to?

"Come in," the same voice pronounced, louder this time. Eavesdropping Red blushed a bit before turning the faux doorknob and entering Sasori's room. The man had several dolls and parts sprayed all over the place, the dead corpses of people turned into plastic. She shivered; the room had suddenly gone far cold with all these people staring at her, as if warning her that she was next for Sasori's killing.

Feeling a little sick now, she found a spot on the floor that was not occupied by someone else and brought her knees to her chin to make herself feel better. Sasori smirked at her attempt to make herself feel comfortable-he couldn't care less if she felt "at home". No, it was far too entertaining to watch Deidara's girlfriend sick to her stomache. He sprawled out onto his bed, letting his head touch his silk pillow as he laughed at her nausea.

After a moment of his own sick entertainment, his face cleared and his eyes filled with fire. "What do you want?" he asked her, annoyed now.

"W-Who were you talking to?" were the first words to leave her mouth.

"My parents," the killer replied. With a bored turn of his head, he looked up at his ceiling. There, on the top of a master puppeteer's room, were two puppets that had the same facial and hair features as Sasori. Except for the fact that they were fake, produced objects made out of the real thing. As if everything was normal, the puppeteer reached his puppet strings to the two beings and made the female body talk, "Hello there sunny!"

"Oh Kami," Red replied in a tone she didn't know she had. She covered her mouth and looked to the floor to prevent her breakfast from meeting her surface.

Sasori continued to laugh at her from his place on his bed. That sick, sick man.

Sora ran after Deidara, grabbing his arm, "Please. Let him go." She cried a little. Taiyo sighed, "Sora... leave me be. I knew the risks of coming here. I'm a little relieved they want me alive. Even if torture is to follow, just being here with you makes anything they might do worth it." Sora let go, staring at him, "...Taiyo. You're all I have left. I just want to be with you. I know we're too old now, but I want to play..." Taiyo closed his eyes, ignoring her as best he could.

Sora dropped to the floor, sniffling. She shook a little, suddenly looking up, "Please, Deidara... You have Red. You must know how I feel. "You're a sick, sick man," Red graoned with the undertone of a pissed off shinobi. She didn't care if she was risking his life right now-Sasori was absolutely crazy. No other explanation, no way around it. To see a teenager not much older than her turn his parents into plastic and then kill with them was beyond mentally unsound...it was, it was...

"I'm struggling for a word to describe you, o-baka!" the ANBU spat again in her disgust. How could he massacre people and force them into dolls like this?!

"Then struggle! You could die for all I care!" Sasori yelled back in full vehemence. Stupid, stupid girl. Here went the name calling today, and if Sasori hadn't had enough crap today this was the icing on top of the cake. An ANBU like her should know better than to mess with somebody of his stature like this!

"I can't believe this cra-" Red was swiftly cut off as she was pinned to his floor with his chakra strings. He jumped off his bed like a panther ready to strike, and before she knew anything he was sitting next to her, controlling her.

"Say you're sorry, and I will let you go without fatal injury," the voice was so smooth and low Red knew he was not joking.

"No," Red quickly answered. She was not going to be the one to give into him, no she was not a call girl. She was a Konoha shinobi, and she would not leave when he was being this rude to her.

"Woman and their pride...." Sasori growled as he powered up his fist. Out of the corner of her eye Red watched with sour anxiety as the puppet's fist began to glow with chakra. He scowled as he was about to dive into Red's core, and she closed her eyes.

How did she get caught up in this crap? Wasn't she just supposed to ask how he was doing, and then leave?

"How are you?!" Red screamed at him with her eyes still closed. If she was going to die now, she might as well fulfill her mission. Die die die...what? She felt no strong impact of chakra... She gently opened her eyes up again as Sasori put down his fist.

"What kind of stupid question is that?"

"HOW ARE YOU?!"

"GOOD!"

"No, you're not."

"Shut up."

"See, you're angry and you know it!"

"It's because of you!"

"Tell me about it."

Sasori scowled-she wouldn't shut up, would she? With a roll of his eyes he gave her back his mobility and went to sit on his bed again. He put his head in his hands for a few moments before deciding to go ahead and say something. She wouldn't leave any other way....besides, if she was here, that meant she wasn't with Deidara. He was green with envy, but he wouln't admit it.

(LMAO!)

"Yeah, un," Deidara replied, oblivious to their talk about him. He grabbed the unconcious Sora and hurried up the stairs, leaving Taiyo in darkness. Deidara continued up another set of stairs-why were there so many in this house?-before reaching his room. He looked worriedly in the direction of Sasori's room for a second, as if he could look back at the past events that took place in there before entering his own room.

"Here we are, sleepy Sora, un," he whispered to the sleeping body as he threw her onto the bed. He sat on the edge of the bed for a second, comtemplating past events. Dare he enter Sasori's room?

~*~

Red was frozen with fear yet again. The bodies bothered her far too much-she had seen death before, yet not this much all condensed into one place! They seemed to stare at her with their marble eyes, telling her to run away and never come back to this room. They were everywhere, mangled pieces of life that draped the entire room in their gloom.

Sasori watched her dilema with interest as he lay sprawled out on his bed, observing the piece of art before him. She was circling herself now, turning around every five seconds in hopes of finding somewhere to sit in comfort. She was failing miserably, and although it was fun to watch at first it did start bothering Sasori after a while. If she were to pass out now, what would he give back to Deidara? Besides, that terrified expression on her face...in all reality, it made her pretty...

Sasori scowled at his thoughts and whistled to Red as if she was a dog. "Go ahead and sit here..." he ushered to her. Ah, here was another interesting dilema she faced: Sasori purposely took up all the space on the bed. The man watched with intense curiosity as she circled herself again before finally taking a seat on his stomache. He glared at her with his "this pisses me off" face until she started stuttering again. Her insecurity in this room made it all the more fun for Sasori!

"Umm...well, coul-could you tell me why you're angry?" she asked with a blush on her face.

"Besides the fact that you're sitting on me?" he joked with his annoyed tone.

She really couldn't get anywhere with him, could she?

"RED-CHAN!" It worked like a charm. Red was his charm, the girl he had love for and watch out for. She was simply his addiction, and their bond was...mentally binding, one might say. Once Deidara heard the demon's warning, he was quick to jump up and snap into "Deidara-killer-love-protect-Red" mode. He scrambled off the bed and headed for the door, as if Sora was a ghost he could not see.

She knew before the shrill scream entered her sensitive ears. She could feel a sudden intensity from the room next to her, almost like a ghost's presence but not at all frightening. No, she knew this prescense, this sudden chakra that seemed to sky rocket in panic. All of a sudden, the dismal room began to brighten to Red's hopeful mind.

Sasori scowled in such a dirty expression Red might have been able to tell he was jealous had she not been looking at him. Deidara burst through the door, and sighed in relief. The ANBU girl quickly obeyed Sasori's...mom's orders because she wouldn't try to disobey the puppeteer for a long time. Pushing herself up quickly and stepping on a few dolls in the process, she grabbed Sora's hand and tugged the poor girl out the room like a child. Deidara nodded in Red's direction for good measures before finally turning attention back to Sasori.

There was tension between the two. Metallic, touchable tension so strong Deidara cringed at the way Sasori glared at him. Yeah, it was his fault he was angry, and although Sasori didn't like talking too much he would have to do it now.

With a few steps, she was in front of him, staring up at him. Her lips quivered and her arms hesitated. Slowly they wrapped around his neck as she pulled herself up. Her soft lips touched the fake cheek of Sasori, giving him a kiss. She pulled back, "Thank you... for not hurting Taiyo too much. He's just a little excited. He should calm down eventually." ooc// *hurts Sasori for being a violent, violent dude, and then gets PWNed by him*

"BAKA!" Sasori shouted with such vehemence he scared himself. With the agility and force of a killer, he swiftly brought his fake palm up to slap Sora hard across her face! With no guilt at all, he growled like an angry hornet and bared his teeth at the soiled teenager for a split second-it would have been longer if Red hadn't jumped at him like an angry kangaroo.

"You *******! All she did was kiss you!" she yelled as she threw a punch in his face. Her pale skin met plastic, and when the shock of the attack knocked Sasori's being forward he roared. There really wasn't much an Akatsuki member could do in the span of two seconds except for jumping on the pursuer and attempting to take her lights out!

Deidara saw this all happen in a few seconds, and to be honest he really didn't want this to happen. He was happy Red was trying to take Sora out of the room earlier, for if two angry Akatsuki members were in the room only Kami knew what could happen. Now that Red was stuck in all this mess again...there really wasn't much to do but get her out of this fight and kick Sasori's butt again, was there?

"GET OFF, UN!" he yelled as he leaped into the fight to try to pry the monster off of his love.

Sasori really was a monster, wasn't he? Just a bomb in hiding, ready to go off at the slightest bump...and when Sora pecked him with a kiss, that bump became a hit. Really it was not her fault-even Sasori didn't know who he was anymore. Things were moving too fast, things were changing at an uncomfortable pace for him, and this was the ugly result. He used to be the gentleman, the graceful man who was both polite and kind.

Did that all change with a kiss? To sum it up, yes.

Tears collected in Sora's eyes. Her question was answered: She was a toy to this man. His kindness before was just to fool her. He probably wanted to kill Taiyo, but refused with so many witnesses. She stumbled to the door, oblivious to the fighting in the room. Her tears built up so much, they spilled out of her eyes and down her cheeks. Her glasses fogged up from the warm tears and she took them off, leaning against the wall outside Sasori's room and sliding down to sit. She let her glasses drop, staring blankly at the floor.

What happened? She questioned herself. Any guy she met would have sold their soul for her kiss. In fact that's how she bought most of the things she originally stole. But this man... this puppet wasn't real. Sora heaved her chest, too scared to even cry. Her cheek was already red and swollen from the slap, too tender to even touch. The air blowing across it stung her. She shook, suddenly feeling her stomach twist in confusion. She liked Sasori, she really did, maybe even loved him, but when she showed such a fragile emotion, the man that she offered it to shattered it and her in one hit. Sora was slipping from reality. Everything was spiraling around her. She sudden let out a gasping sob, closing her eyes, letting the tears now flow from her eyes, not caring anymore.

The battle violently did a steady crescendo to war between two brothers. No, not two killers, not two Akatsuki, not two of the deadliest beings in this part of the world; that would not correctly fit this predicament. The two men beating each other to scars were not killers, but best friends who were at a loss to who each other was. Sadly this is where years of friendship comes to a deadly edge, where the blood of a loved one is spilled in the confusion of envy and anger.

"Why Sasori, why..." Deidara mouthed. Sweat dripped down his warm face, blood darkening bits of his body where he could not evade his brother. He could have never imagined a nightmare like this to happen, not even in his darkest plots. Who knew that a blood feud could result in envy? But...deep down, Deidara felt that this was not Sasori's fault at all. He had pushed his partner to jealousy, he knew it, and he should have known it even before he kissed her the first time. This was his fault, and he would pay for his sins right here in the dead silence of Sasori's room.

But, the battle containment was not silent. The clash of kunai against skin and shruiken against plastic bleached the room in eerie clanks of war, symbolistic items that showed how far the situation was out of hand. Of course it bothered Sasori; he hated the idea of fighting his best friend, the man who had been there for him for years. They had shared their artistic views, laughed with each other and occasionally terrorized with each other. Deidara was more than a best friend-he was family to a puppet who had lost his years ago to his own blind fury. "This...this war started at the beginning, with Red. Get rid of your lover now Deidara-save yourself while you have a chance!"

A man of Sasori's stature really didn't show mercy, especially not when he was boiling mad. True, this was all Red's fault-if Deidara hadn't fallen in love with the maiden, he would still be a cold killer and Sasori would have a new doll! But, this obviously wasn't the way Kami planned life out, was it? The God just loved to torture all of them...

"AHH!!" Red screamed as she rocketed out of the room with a single shove of a kunai from Sasori. De ja vu overtook her sensitive head as she felt the blood from her stomache open up again. Before she slammed onto the ground next to another figure she felt the crimson liquid through her uniform, spreading like a visible disease on her body.

"Ssss....awww....ssssss.....awww....ssss....awww..." she repeated twenty times over in that fashion as she curled into a ball and let the pain have her. As her senses dulled, she thought she would at least need to see who was sitting before her as she died. On the cold floor, she could feel the sullen liquid known as tears. She raised her head a bit albeit the pain attacking her, just to see Sora's face.

"Sora..." she murmured, her words all a slur due to the fact that death was nary a few inches around the corner. "Please...forgive him," she started again, croaking. Her eyes began to droop slowly as she tried to finish her sentence-it was so hard now... "It's...it's my fault. Give him a-another...chan, chance...he can be..." she coughed up blood, struggling to complete her death wish. "Your best friend, a gentleman...one...more..."

"Nightmare jutsu!" she exclaimed with her last breath as she hit Sasori with the last bit of her being. The startled S-nin fell to the floor, the only victim of Red's speciality jutsus. The nightmare he was soon to suffer was going to show him what he did wrong, ammend him to see the light in the sins he's caused. Hopefully now he could be peaceful, calm, a loving gentleman Deidara had come to know and love...

Red passed out.

ooc: Haha... Family Guy... "and then a giant chicken came..."

Sora stared at the floor. She was in another place, not caring. If a wild kunai were to hit her, she'd let it, and would even force it in deeper. She just wanted to feel something more painful than the slap.

ooc// Omg! Joe! I'm soo sorry! XDD

"Sasori, Sasoi, un!" the blonde exclaimed as he shaked his partner. To his surprise, the sleeping man only lolled his head around to get more comfortable on the floor. The room went quiet, the only sound the soft breathing of the red-headed Akatsuki member. Red got him good, that was obvious at least. Too bad the silence didn't last.

"RED! UN!" Deidara exclaimed as he took sight of the grim girl before him. She would die soon if somebody didn't do something!

"Sora-chan, help me carry Red to the basement!" he hastily exclaimed as he glared at the arm Sasori had slashed up.

"...She's dying, isn't she? Sasori... hurt her." She looked in. "I can't believe I thought I loved him. He was so nice, even offering me a new outfit. What did I do to anger him?" She slowly crawled to Deidara and Red, looking at her fallen friend, placing a hand on her wound.

"He was angry, is all, un," Deidara swiftly explained as he tried to lift up Red with one arm. "AHH!" he screeched in agony as he scooped the girl up in one muscular arm and tried to balance her with the bashed one. Man, he really wish Sasori was up right now, just so he could maybe give him a piece of his min-

"Come Sora, un! We have to hurry!" the blonde shouted as he raced towards the basement.

The sleeping Sasori was left on his floor, soon to suffer terrible nightmares that would only illuminate his mistakes to him.

Sora followed quietly. "You really should have wrapped the wound before moving her." She ran to him, stopping him. She closed her eyes, trying to focus, doing a few hand signs, making a kind of whirlwind in her hands. She formed that into a ball and pressed it into Red's stomach. "The bleeding should stop, at least... You have time to play with now."

"Thank you Sora-chan!" Deidara bowed in pure grattitude before continuing onwards to the basement. Man did the anbu need help-she was worse than the time Deidara first found her like this, the first time he healed her. That seemed too long ago, for they had already shared tons of memories together-free falling together in a tree, eating breakfast, witnessing a demon...

"Hey Taiyo," Deidara automatically exclaimed as he saw the teenager still in the basement. He did not stop in his greeting, but instead continued over to a coutner on the basement. "You'll be fine Red-chan-un..." he started with tears as he began to see through her wounds.

Taiyo looked at Red, "Wow... She looks horrible."

"I know, un," the man stated with little hope to live on. Red's stomache was violently cut, an unforgiving gash snaking its way around her tiny body. The blood loss already started to gain control of the girl, grabbing her and tightening its grip, tighter than a pair of Tobi's jeans. Her porcelain skin was shocking pale agaisnt the liquid of life, and when sullen tears began falling onto her Deidara knew that this wasn't a picture-no, this was real life, and she would die if he didn't act fast.

He swiped the tears from his eye and pulled a kunai out of its holster quicker than most ninja could train for. He proceeded to gently but effectively cut off a part of her clothes where he would be working, and sighed. The wound was deep, and already the edges of the infected flesh were crusting with dried blood. Deidara tried to not think about Sasori as he worked-that would save nobody, no?

Sasori would have been finished with this by now. He was a true docter, a true God to the human body. He would have pinpointed the most infected area, and cleaned it within a minute's span. The man could have successfully wrapped her in bandages, and give her antiseptic without using both hands. Best of all, Sasori would have done it with a smirk on his face, too.

The blonde couldn't help but wonder what Sasori was dreaming of at this moment. He felt terrible for fighting him, as if he killed him for no reason. The fight could have been avoided, but there was so much tension in the air it was a disease. Worst of all...the fight was not resolved. Sasori fell victim to Red's special jutsu (which Deidara never knew she had) and apparantly fell into a deep sleep. What would happen when he woke up? Would he still be angry at him? Would time reveal a never-ending cycle of envy and mistrust?

Deidara winced as Red winced. He must have been using too much antiseptic, but to be truthful he was simply glad she had enough energy to flinch. Once he applied that, he quickly cleared the area of blood. He continued to press his hands onto her stomache, feeling the automatic temptation of her smooth skin against his needy hands. He felt Nature pour a shiver down his back, but ignored it. He continued to empty his chakra into the wound, the flesh quickly threading itself back together.

"Ahhh, un!" he graoned as he continued to give Red her life back.

~*~

It was not a dream, it was not a nightmare. It was more like...flashbacks in seizure mode. Sasori had no clue what Red did to him, but he seemed to be stuck in his past for the moment. Like a ghost lost in ****, he witnessed himself kill his parents and transform them. He closed his eyes as he heard their screams, and wiped his eyes when he was taken to a time when they loved him. When he was human.

Transforming himself was the next step. He could only watch as he saw himself from afar, changing his body to suit his needs. Sasori frowned when he watched little Sasori lose the original flare in his eyes, only to be replaced by marble. His peach skin became pale, and pretty soon his hair became synthetic. The puppeteer hadn't really had time to understand what a cute kid he was, for he lost all his innocence at such a young age, only to be replaced by raw power and need...

The master puppeteer watched the rest of his bloody history not as a puppeteer, but a man lost in confusion.

Taiyo watched until he couldn't any more. He ripped Deidara's hands away, "You're killing yourself to save her..." He looked at Red, sighing. He went to her, seeing the deep wound, "Ew... Smells like almonds. I can get her back to normal." He flashed a smile. "Go keep Sora company." He turned his attention back to Red and started his healing. It was lucky there was a reason he was named after the Sun. His solar-based jutsu came in handy, especially when he had to perform medical-like tasks.

He pulled a few large leaves from his pack and covered the wound. With a few fairly difficult hand signs, he slapped down on them, fusing the leaves with her skin, trying to both stop the blood flow and help her skin regrown back. He could Red was in a lot of pain. He pulled out a few berries, mashing them up and dripping the juice on the leaves, numbing the area as best he could. He hummed a little when the worst was over, smiling a little, just letting the time-factor take effect.

"Okaay....un..." Deidara slurred as he slumped over to Sora. He was really tired now-fighting his danna wasn't a walk in the park. It was more like being thrown into a cage and being forced to tranquilize an upset jaguar. He had also emptied out most of his spiritual chakra in attempts to save his love but now...The worst part was accepting the fact that life for little Red was fragile. The chances of survival were never 100% for her, now were they?

"Hello Sora, un!" he tried to keep his hopes high in his voice. He had to believe she would be ok, but if Red would never recover...Deidara didn't want to think about it. He instead focused on the woman sitting next to him here, her cheek still red. He adverted his gaze then, feeling partially guily for his partner's irresponsible action. "How are you doing?" he asked, not trying to make her feel bad.

~*~

"I've been killing a lot..." he eyes were bulging now and his mouth was gasping at the murderous scenes before him, his breathing accelerating and his heart skipping beats as he saw himself take people. That was not the worst part, for he continued to take the dead corpses of innocent bodies and transform them into a combination of plastic and elastic. He really was a monster...

"But no, I have to kill!" Sasori began fighting himself in this nightmare, desperately seeking cause and understanding. What? Now he needed a cause to fight? Well, here was a good one...his life would be taken by the other Akatsuki members if he didn't kill. Alright, he couldn't do anything to stop that. Understanding?

Oh, now he knew what Deidara felt when he rescued Red. He was repaying somebody back for the thousands he had killed, and although that really wouldn't literally mean something (a life for thousands, what) it at least meant that a killer like him could have a heart. He has his real heart, but it didn't mean anything. He coud show emotions, even if he was a puppet, couldn't he?

It was time to do some major rethinking. What had he been doing all this time? Killing really meant nothing to a hollow soul like him, and before he completely knew what was happening he realized all he really needed was a relationship. More relationships like Deidara, maybe even a lover! That made his blonde partner happy, so wouldn't it make him joyous too?

She started at the floor, "Please don't talk to me like that. Don't treat me like a person." She closed her eyes, crying some. "I'm so confused. I don't know which way is up. I want to just give up and die... I wanted to so badly in my life, thinking I was alone. But now that Taiyo showed up, killing myself will kill him... and ending our clan. It doesn't matter now. The two of us can't rebuild it. It's just pointless..." She glanced at him, "Will you kill me? Please?"

Deidara took interest in the ceiling for a few moments, seeking words to make the lost one before him find her way. No, words were useless-he needed truth and understanding to set this woman straight. Truth because he knew she wouldn't swallow sugar-coated, empy words, and understanding to let her know that she still had purpose in this world. Everybody had purpose...finding it was the challenge. And now that Sora had lost sight of both truth and understanding, had she lost sight of purpose?

"I know what it feels like to be lonely," he started after another moment, breathing in deeply before continuing, "But our friend Red knows what it feels like to be lonely and most of all, what it feels like to die, un." He stopped to reminisce the day he had found the girl stranded in the battlefield, the victim to the slaughter of her friends. "When I brought her here to the Akatsuki, she was lost just like you, un. She felt no purpose to continue living, and she was so hopeless I thought she was already dead."

The blonde took a deep breath and flashed a dazzling smile at Sora, illuminating the gloom room in his sudden happiness. "But look at her now! She's flying, un, so high she's higher than my clay creations..." he stared out to space for a bit, avoiding the broken Red but smiling at their memories nevertheless. "You can fly too, un! It just all depends on if you can find your wings or not..."

~*~

"I've been wrong," Sasori said to himself as he watched the past few days flash by like they were all recorded on super H-D, Akatsuki T.V. With his usual sexiness, he flipped his crimson hair up to the side and smiled as his past self fought Red. He was checking her out then, maybe being the Puppeteer Perv while destroying her. His deep, round eyes observed the way he was toying with her, offering her a fight before he slashed her stomache with a bloody kunai.

His nightmare fast forwarded to early today, when Red was in his room to see what was wrong with him. "Sweet, sweet girl with beautiful intentions," he said honestly as he grimaced in disgust. He had cornered her in the darkest corner of his room, making her sit on him because there was nowhere else to try. He shook his head at his own folly when he saw the way he almost killed her with his chakra infused fist, the way she tried to fight him back.

"Ahh, another mistake," he noted as he saw himself slap Sora in slow motion. The mortifying expression of fright on Sora's pretty face, Red's pleasant face suddenly blooming into anger, Deidara's childish expression soiled with shock...Worst of all, he saw his own body, his eyes boiling with anger for no reason and his body tensing underneath his clothes. "Ahahah! I'll never do that again," he said swiftly to himself. Light was slowly illuminating Sasori's dark world.

"I thought I found my wings with your friend... but when I tried to fly, he ripped them from my back. I'm flightless now, and falling. Taiyo's all I have in this world now. He's my only happiness." She looked at him, sighing. "Just watch him. Even as a prisoner, he's happy. He knows how to make a bad situation good. I wish I was like him..."

Taiyo danced a little now, getting bored of his job. He whined, wishing time would just go forward. He stopped, checking the progress of this jutsu. The skin was growing back nicely and the leaves were being eaten away. He got a few more berries, numbing Red again and doing the sun jutsu again. "Man, I'm hungry...." He mumbled to himself.

"Sasori just doesn't know you, un. He can be a gentleman if he knows you," Deidara explained, smiling to hopefully spread his good attitude. Truthfully Sasori was a gentleman, the smooth operator ready to woo women to their knees and make children smile. He was the type of man who seemed to live in the Twenties, kindly opening doors for people and using such fine manners one might have thought he was raised a rich boy. Sasori was a fantasy for most people, the cool kid people loved to be around yet the graceful killer any girl loved.

Deidara smiled as he thought about what happened to that good part of Sasori. "And you know what, un, I know he can be like that again," he said with the loyalty that bonded him and his partner together for years. The sweet, artistic part of Sasori was simply locked away right now-Deidara had faith in that. If Sasori stopped being angry (and it didn't even matter anymore why he was mad) then the good Sasori would bloom once again!

The blonde smiled to himself at his bright outlook as he got up from his position. "Wow, un. You're really good at this! She looks good, un," Deidara stated, before blushing. She did look good, didn't she? She was healing already, and even though the master doctor Sasori wasn't here Red was turning out great!

~*~

"I see now. I'm pretty ****ed up, but I can fix my ways," Sasori said to himself. He had seen too much. Watching everything he had done wrong was like watching a scary movie, although he was the killer in this particular film. Until now, he had been the sole ghost who slaughtered everybody, the crooked mentality who was a menace to society. Until Red had hit him with her Nightmare Jutsu, well...to put it simply he was the Nightmarish Little Crap (his nickname for Tobi Boy) in the Akatsuki household. That was stopping now!!

He flipped his hair up and smiled as light entered his sensitive optics. The dream was ending now, and reality was greeting him. Yet the journey wasn't ending; to be exact it was just beginning. He would change, morph back into the gentleman Deidara missed. He would show Sora and Red that he wasn't insane, and maybe take Tobi out for some ice cream some time soon. He was changed, that's right! It wasn't exactly like a bug comming out of a cacoon, but more like taking a bath and ridding yourself of grime.

"Finally, finally I'm back!" he exclaimed as the light overtook him. He. woke. up.

"Wow...." he voiced his interest in life as his eyes slowly awoke. Vivid colors and shapes morphed their way into his view as he slowly stood up, and sighed in disbelief. Had something changed in the lightening of his room? Everything was so clear! He could see specific details, textures and shapes like he could not see before-it was as if he was reborn with past-perfect vision!

He breathed in a deep whiff of air, and nodded to himself. Either he was terribly high, or he was just acute to Earth now; he could trace every scent in the room, from his sweet smelling hair to the rot of people under his bed. He was overwhelmed with all the new smells, for he wouldn't have been able to sense these things before. It was like waking to a new day with Shiba's sense of smell.

A fly moved somewhere in the room. You know it! Sasori would have been able to hear it as a ninja, but now he could sense more. He listened a little bit more, and caught the furious flapping of the bug, counting the flap number as the insect moved-fifty beats per minute, and the fly was still going at it! Sasori smiled in his own sharpness, and swiftly turned. He caught the insect in his hand, cupping it to feel it beneath his skin. He felt the warm life of the bug, the vitality in the living being. He smiled as he let the life go, ushering it out his window and closing it shortly after.

The man took a long glance around his room, seeing it for the first time in a different perspective. Earlier he thought it was beautiful, being surrounded by his arts, but know he realized the obvious flaws. For one, it was far too cluttered. What did Red think when she went in here? How did he himself get around in this room?

Simply thinking it, Sasori stretched his chakra strings and gracefully relocated some of his dolls. He didn't even feel the chakra leave his body as he threw around the puppets, taking care in their landing yet working quicker than he ever did. He smiled as he withdrew the blue strings, letting them come back into his body and giving him a full feeling. He was revitalized now, but he seemed...improved.

Without another word, Sasori ventured down the Akatsuki staircase and into the basement. Now was his time to give back, to show everybody that he wasn't a ******* and that he could be a good person. No...he would be better than a good person, better than a gentleman! He would give this apology his all, but continue the true pay back by being an awesome Sasori!

"Hello everybody," he greeted in his silky voice as he traveled down the stairs of the basement.

Sora's eyes widened at the sound of his voice. She was froze where she was, too afraid to even breath. Her body shook, trying to run... or at least move. Tears ran down her cheek. Pure fear was on her face, and was growing as he heard him getting closer.

Taiyo smiled, "Hello..." He has his arms crossed, letting Deidara be with Red. Since she was doing a lot better now, he let her natural system take care of the rest of the healing. He sighed, letting out a slight yawn. "Do you plan on feeding me? I'm starving..."

Sasori smoothly avoided Sora, walking next to her without looking at her or even slowing down. It was not that he was being a jerk or that he didn't see her-that would be dumb. No, he just didn't know how to say sorry to her yet. Besides, she was still hurt from his little tantrum. He would just wait until the tiger cooled down before he attempted to talk to her.

"Deidara," the man greeted, his quiet voice forceful. He threw the man into a tight hug, as if he hadn't seen him in years. "So sorry bro." The sweet moment lasted for a few seconds before they broke apart, Deidara exclaiming, "It's ok Sasori, un!" To Deidara, the simple action of hugging was a big step for Sasori.

"Hey...you," the pupeteer continued with a smile in Taiyo's direction. "I'm hungry too. Let's go get something, right?" he said with a warm grin, facing in the direction of the door.

Red slowly yet surely was drifting into reality. Her senses were fuzzy, her memory struggling to serve her justice. Her complex mind was seemingly divided into parts, one section of her brain gathering her identity while the other tried to wake little Sleeping Beauty up. The wound had not fully recovered, yet the operation from the combined efforts of Taiyo and Deidara had more than saved her life. This was all happening at the same time in her mind, correct.

"Jeebus Kami...." she slurred. Her head seemed to be filled with lead, but somehow she felt weightless in Deidara's arms. He was that quick to come to her, sensing her responding chakra and supporting her.

"Red, un..." the words were more like a sigh than words as he snuggled her as if she was a bunny. The awoken girl blushed a bit before snaking her arms out of his clay embrace and wrapping them around his tender neck, sighing as she did so. The two figures sat on the bed, intertwined like two shiny threads. She wanted this moment to last forever, to be able to feel Deidara's love emanating from under her like a seat on a smooth plane ride....

"Excuse me," Sasori briskly interrupted, tearing though the moment like a buttered knife. He smiled at their relationship, coming to accept their love. The puppeteer now saw their golden relationship as a work of art rather than a slutless relationship built on lust. Oh, no, he had been so wrong-he was glad he finally saw through his mistakes. He was a tab bit embarrassed to cut through the moment, yet he had something to say and such a profound man like Sasori would not wait.

"Red-chan," he swiftly greeted, coming into the twoway to hug her as if Deidara wasn't still there. The smell of sweet cinammon and wood came off his plastic body as he soon seperated to explain his resolve. "Thank you...for the nightmare." He continued to kiss her forehead like she was his lost sibling. Deidara smiled, not seeing the kiss as a sign but instead as a friendly greeting from a gentleman.

"Well well well..." were Red's first words, barely audible yet confident. "You are very much welcome, Sasori-kun." She smiled at her new brother, accepting his new viewpoint as Deidara had accepted her days ago. The red-headed Akatsuki wasn't really one to hang around in somebody's else's story-he left te two to their own embrace as he turned his attention to the...fun Taiyo!

"Come, Tai-boy!" Sasori joked, grabbing his arm and skipping with him up the stairs. He smiled in such a fun way a third party viewer might have gotten his orientation wrong, messing around with Taiyo. It was hard for him to say sorry, so why would he just not apologize this way? He knew this was the easy part-when it came to the sensitive Sora he would have to really apologize.

Sora remained on the stair. The wood had swelled up some as her tears fell on the perfect exact same spot. Her mind slowly started to click up a plan. She shook... Where was a kunai? Where did she need to stick it to feel the less pain? Or maybe where would do the most damage? Could she send it through her skull, or just bleed to death? Her eyes looked around for even the sharpest of items... She closed her eyes. Would she even be able to stomach such an act?

Taiyo laughed, "I like it! Tai-boy!" He grinned, helping himself up the stairs. "I want to make some stew!" Taiyo looked back at Sora, suddenly frowning, "Sorie.... what's wrong? I thought you liked stew..."

She gasped. She forgot he was still with her now. She gulped, trying to make her voice sound strong, "I... I do. Just a tummy ache..." She even forced a laugh, tearing up more and lowering her head. Taiyo stared at her, "Right... Tummy ache. I hope you get better." He continued up the stairs.

"Would you like some medicine for that? I can make anything feel better..." there were two messages in Sasori's calm words. One, the literal truth; Sasori had a cure for any ache, any physical pain one might have the misfortune to receive. The second, of course, was the man's manly code; Sasori could make anyone bloom with happiness or exhiliration. It was a matter of a play on words, at the same time a play on somebody's heart...

"FOOD-UN!!" Deidara always found a way to interrupt at the right time. The two gracefully rose from the bed at the same time, still soaked in their love for each other. Still tired, Deidara sensed Red's fatigue. He gently tossed the girl over his back, giving her a quick piggy back up the stairs.

"No..." Sora's words seemed distant. "I know how good medicine can come back to haunt you..." Her message, too, had a meaning. Her kiss was like medicine to help Sasori's anger, but it did nothing as his cold, false hand met with her soft cheek. She flinched, remembering the slap. She sobbed a little.

Taiyo leaned against the door frame at the top of the stairs. "Do you need the toilet? It looks like a really bad upset..."

Sasori turned serious, as if he had forgotten the show he had just put on for little boy Taiyo. His handsome face masked his annoyance as he craned back to look at Sora, silent and smooth like a ghost. He kept a poker face as his serene lips formed a line and his peaceful eyes drooped down just a tad bit. Natural like licks of fire, he flipped his crimson hair and smiled at her. "When you can come to accept my medicine, come to me," he said almost seductively (or was that his normal voice?) before leaving the basement and heading towards the kitchen.

Taiyo gave Sora one last look before heading for the kitchen, "Okay... Let's see what I can make. I'm hungry for stew... Is that okay with everyone?"

The odd group of long lost siblings sat with each other at the table. Deidara cradled the fragile Red in his masculine arms, as comfortable as Bella and Edward. Sasori intertwined his hands as he sat, kicking his legs like a little kid. They stared expectantly at Taiyo, as if he was giving a show and not cooking.

He sighed, starting the stew, letting it boil some. He sat at the table, twiddling his thumbs, "Erm... Sasori? Are you really a puppet? I didn't mean that joke before... but out of curiousity, does your nose grow when you tell a lie?"
