"Yes and no," Sasori gracefully answered. He let his head bow to examine the perfect countertop before looking back up at Taiyo, expecting his reaction. He was a puppet....he created himself, made himself something plastic and elastic. His nose would not "grow". That was a bedtime story long forgotten by children, and although he thought it ridiculous the thought made him smile.

(sorry it took so long. I got distracted lul)

"You know, Sora likes dolls. She used to make them all the time before we split up." He dug in his robe, pulling out a doll make from some kind of dried grass. The limbs and head were tied off. Even the little clothes that were on the doll were handmade. He sat it on the table, "That was all I had to remember her. I promised myself that I'd return it to her one day." He smiled. "I think she named that one Tai... after me."

Sasori no longer found the ignition to smile. He glared at the doll, as if seeing the faces of the children he had slaughtered and otherwise destroyed. Some of them were made into puppets, children who could fight, while some of the kids were annihilated simply because they were in the way or they were a witness. That was the rule: save yourself. Kill the witnesses, or any weak links that could jeopardize yourself.

He cleared his throat in a low sound, while Deidara watched him. He was almost ready for him to snap again, yet he had faith in him. He wouldn't be so cruel as to get angry by past memories? That was a memory by now, right? Red surveyed Deidara's features, the look of almost....wait lined on his face and then turned to look toward Sasori. No, he would not get mad. He couldn't. The dream was still strong.

"Right...." the man finally said, tearing his painful gaze away from the doll and instead staring at Taiyo, not really in the mood to look anybody in the eye again for a least a few more minutes. "So, tell us. What happened to get you seperated from your sister?"

Taiyo sat down with a sigh. "Well, after our village and clan was destroyed, we stuck together. By we, I mean all of her brothers and me. One by one your wonderful organization chased after us, until Masako used Sora's doll to make a fake Sora." He picked it up. "One night, we gathered up our things and the fake Sora and left the real Sora alone. I guess it worked,... for a few months, until Masako was slaughtered, and his jutsu over the doll broken. Then made some of your members pretty pissed, and instead of switching to hurting Sora, they continued one kill us.

Pretty soon, it was just me and Hikiru. With combining our specialized jutsu, we could fend off most of the attacks, until someone came that benefitted off my attacks... I can't help that I killed my brother by helping the enemy. I watched them all die. My own brothers... But the thing that kills me on the inside," He hugged the doll to him, "was the fact that I abandoned Sora. I hoped that she was safe, and that I saved her... But I was wrong. Finding her here scared me so much. I would take her home, if we had one..." He sighed, letting what tears he formed dry up. "...I'm sorry for boring you. You probably don't care."

Relaxed and understanding, the threesome broke down as they focused on a horrible life story.

The puppeteer listened carefully as the man before them cried his heart out, reciting a terrible story saved for a nightmare. Sasori grimaced as part of his mind made a reference to Sora being a fake doll, while another part of his complex being worked on piecing together said events. He imagined the village blowing up to tiny bits, only for the broken family to work to save each other. They were all just a broken cord now, the last metallic bits of a clan sitting here in this room. And to think it was all caused by the Akatsuki.

"Why were you hunted down by us? I cannot recall the reason in all my years of existence as a puppet..." Sasori mused, cocking his head at Taiyo yet not wanting to look him in the eyes. When you looked a person in the eyes, you saw into their soul. Sasori didn't want to have to look at the image of pain in this man's soul.

Red was a simultaneous thinker, her brillant mind working overtime as her outside being stared at Taiyo. She was probing his eyes for truth, searching for any sign of deceit etched into his body language. You see, she was secretly dubious; she had never heard of a lost village or of legends of the Akatsuki jeopardizing a single family for one lonely demon. Plus, if this was truly the case, why was Taiyo so happy? An early case of severe brain damage? Happy drugs? She didn't think so!

"Taiyo, what was the name of your village?" she asked in her quizzical voice, as if she was on the job and not asking a friend a question. She didn't know if she could trust any of this-maybe it all just a set up to get Sora out of here and start causing damage to other villages! Deep down, the teenager wanted to believe him, to feel compassion for him...yet the shinobi being of her would not accept such a sudden sob story.

Deidara was a man smarter than he appeared. As a broken life who had seemed to die too many times, he was always wary of lies and confusion. So, he listened to Taiyo, he could not help but have the same mind set as Red; was he lying after all? Yet, Deidara was also a man capable of love and passion (the mental sense in this case, but both if you really think about it). A tiny spark of sorrow ignited deep within his soul, secretly feeling sorry for the slaughtered family. To think that he was in this was wrong-he didn't quite rememeber any of this story in Akatsuki past or of a fallen village. He stopped himself from snorting at their "history" before lightly setting Red off his lap and getting up.

"I'll be right back, un! Noodles!" he chimed in his pure voice, as if the mental battle had not just taken place within him.

Taiyo gave a weak, tearful glare at Deidara as he left, "...I'm making stew." He mumbled some, trying to calm down. His sleeve hit his eyes, wiping them dry. He looked to Sasori, "Sora has a demon inside her. She doesn't know it, and I don't plan on telling her. Karasu would like to remain hidden. All Sora knows about the Akatsuki is that they are hunting her for fun. She doesn't really grasp the fact that it's much more than that..." He heaved a sigh, "I'm not saying she's stupid, but it's hard to come to the demon conclusion when she's out cold every time he comes out..." He turned to Red.

"As for our village, it was Soyokazi... Erm, North Soyokazi... We lived in the mountains. There's a South Soyo, but that's near the sea. Horrible place.... Bad fish... Anyway, I'm not sure what all happened. Sora, her brothers, and I were out playing, collecting little frogs for a race. There was a bright light in the sky. I think two demons were fighting. We all hurried home... or close to home as we could get before Karasu smashed it. Soon, he lost the battle, and his life. His spirit lifted up and went straight to Sora, sealing itself within her. I can't remember much after that, other than running for our lives. We stayed in the remains for a few weeks, until the first Akasuki attack. I guess we were lucky we weren't the only survivors. A few local men who lost their entire families fought them off as we ran off..."

"Oh, don't worry about him," Sasori provided, smiling cordially at Taiyo, "Deidara will eat the noddles, the stew, and the bowl too if you don't get it away from him fast enough." He smiled at the true statement before listening to him about the demon. He knew that she was knocked out everytime she became a demon-that was obvious. He smirked "Yeah" before looking to Red.

"Oh, that's terrible," Red lied, not yet done with her quzzing. She thought about the village's name, cocking her head in a wondering fashion as she tried to understand the situation. "Why did the Akatsuki attack?" Red and Sasori asked at the same time.
