<<STORY>>

You're the tamer of two (max.) dragons and you live in the Corona Kingdom, a vast land with rivers and forests and open fields. In the middle is a castle (http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa15/hgpotter/8.jpg), where the dragon tamers live. The trouble starts when the legendary Phoenix Dragon goes missing and possibly hurt. Without the Phoenix Dragon (http://i29.tinypic.com/245zndv.png) to protect the land, Corona starts to rot. The soil turns grey, the grass dies, the water turns toxic.

The sun slowly rose in the sky, bursting over the mountains and casting light and warmth over the Corona Kingdom. A V-shaped form moved through the air, circling the castle a few times. The form broke and the dragons making it up spread out, landing on the open rooftop. Short cries filled the air from the tired beasts as they shook off the morning cold and closed their aching wings. Their riders slid off and lead them into the stables. One of the guards huffed a little, seeing a young girl sleeping on some hay with a small dragon curled around her. He nudged her with his boot, "Hey... Get up."

She groaned, turning over. He kicked her a little more, "Up, girl!" He tossed his riding gear on her and walked off. Syphia groaned, sitting up, hay in her hair, "Wha?" She gasped seeing the dragons, "I overslept!" Syphia jumped up and trying to get the dragons in their stalls and fed them. Claire looked around, yawning, soon curling up and going back to sleep. After an hour, the guard that tried to wake her walked back in, "You were sleeping..."

"I'm sorry." She said. "It won't happen again."

"I'll make sure..." He took some straps and went to Syphia, tying her up and hanging her from a hook in the stables. "I'll be back around noon... if I'm not asleep." He walked out. Syphia sighed, dangling in the stables.

Lyrica drifted into the dragon stables, a white ghost among the painted morning. She was extremely careful and quiet as she crossed the stables in her silk dress; surely she did not want to be rude to these dragons. Dragons were like humans-she was positive they did not like mornings, or Mondays for the manner... Lyrica did not particularly like mornings either, but she always came into the stables at this time every day.

She smiled in genuine joy when she came to her own dragon. Harmonious was curled up, a mystical serpent in sleep. He slithered awake when he saw his master, quickly growing feet above her. She smiled back and patted his head when he came back down; Harmonious was a serpent who needed love and although Lyrica was sometimes too nice to him, she surely did give the dragon a lot of love. Now where was Melomadious?

Lyrica would have gasped when she heard a sigh in the stable, but she did not have the gift of voice. She walked over to the girl dangling in the stables, and untied her. She would have asked her a few questions, the first being "are you ok?" but she could not, so she instead used sign language to express the query. She knew the chances said that this girl did not know sign language, but she wanted to convey that she could not speak.

It was hard being mute.

She looked at the signings, misreading them of course, "Um... no, I'm not hungry... But thank you." She got up, rubbing her arms, sighing, "Claire? Claire, where are you?" A pale colored dragon walked up, cooing at the sight of her released master. Her scaled face rubbed the cheek of Syphia. She laughed, "I know... We're late. You're tired of being in his stinky place."

Was she hungry? No, that was not the question... But of course, as Lyrica predicted, this person did not know sign language. That was ok; nobody did.

A groggy and loud huff behind her automatically brought her spirits up. She recongnized that breath mark, happy that she had found her second dragon. Melomadious towered above her like a scaly white castle, and Lyrica hugged her monster. Man she loved that monster.

Syphia lead Claire out and ran back in the stables, climbing up the long ladder to the second floor. With a giggle, she moved out of a window to the roof and moved carefully. Several tiles fell to the ground as Syphia moved to Claire. The dragon outside let out a cry and spread her wings a little. Her neck craned as she watched Syphia carefully.

Mekima yawned and tousled her hair out of its evening bun as she entered the stables to meet Jyr. She knew that Jyr would need to be seen by her first or he would be afraid that she did not love him and stop eating. At least, that was what had happened the last time Plato was the first to greet her. It had taken almost a week of waking extra early - and staying up extra late - to comfort him before his constant state of hyperventilation ceased.

She found the red dragon on the rafters, far back in his stall, where Plato was seemingly tormenting him. The murky green dragon was hovering near Jyr, tittering gleefully. Jyr was trying to turn away from her, but she persisted.

"Plato! Leave him alone," Mekima reprimanded, then her voice turned soft and coaxing, "Good morning, Jyr! Come on down, sweetie, come here."

He turned to look at her, unhappiness in his eyes. He slithered down to the ground, gripping the stable walls to descend instead of simply flying.

"What's wrong, poppy? Don't be sad, it's okay," she cooed, approaching him and wrapping him in a hug, being careful as always around the spines on his thick legs. He perked up slightly and returned the favor, gently reaching around her and securing his clawed paws around her waist.

"Come on, let's get something to eat," she suggested, clambering onto his back and throwing her arms around his long neck.

"You too, Plato. Let's go!" she called to the other dragon, who was lagging behind, looking put out. She could never please both of them. Plato eventually began to follow as Jyr, happier now, swooped out of the window and into a low dive toward Mekima's quarters.
