Chapter 1: The note.

One morning, Elektro woke up to find a note on the ground next to his bed. He picked it up and read it through, before waking Pyro up.
"Pyro! Pyro, wake up! Look at this! The Guild's going on another expedition, and it's apparently going to be a big one. Chatot says that any graduated team can apply to take part. Let's go!"
"Ugh... wha'?"
"Pyro, wake up, already!"
"Oh, s..sorry. An expedition? Where to?"
"That's the point, they don't know what's there."
"Well, in that case, it'll be somewhere out to sea, won't it?"
"I guess so. Does it matter?"
"No, not at all. Let's go."

The pair left Sharpedo Bluff and made their way through the busy Treasure Town to the Guild. All the townspeople were opening their shops and facilities, and many greetings were exchanged, as usual. Pyro and Elektro always went to the Guild in the morning, since they'd then get first choice on missions. After all, they had many rival teams, each one striving to do better.
"You're still not awake, are you Pyro?" said Elektro as Pyro tripped over his own feet.
"No, I'm not."
"Well hurry up! We want to get there before we get held up by a rival!"
They continued a little way, then Elektro stopped.
"Speak of the devil, look who's there."

It was Team Darkness. More specifically, the leader and his two highest operatives: Lucario, Weavile and Honchkrow. They ignored Team MasterCrew's approach, and they exchanged suspicious glares as they passed.
"I don't like the look Lucario had in his eyes," remarked Elektro. "I think he's up to no good. We should keep an eye on him."
Meanwhile, Lucario was telling his operatives: "Look at that, Team MasterCrew look like they're going for the expedition. No doubt they'll be accepted on the spot, given their reputation. If we can get in too, this may be our chance to be rid of them!"
They snickered and followed Pyro and Elektro at a distance, casually walking along the path to the Guild.

The first thing Pyro and Elektro did on arriving at the Guild was to check the Outlaw noticeboard. After all, these were the missions that paid off more and earned more reputation. Amazingly, there didn't seem to be any criminals worth going after, so they left the few that were there for the other teams to take care of. The mission noticeboard was equally empty.
"This is more than a little suspicious..." mused Pyro. "Why are there no good missions?"
They considered it a moment, then Elektro slapped his head.
"Of course, the briefing isn't over yet! Dugtrio hasn't been able to update the boards!"

Just then a shout came from down below.
"That's the call to work. The updates will be here soon..."
Indeed, the noticeboards swivelled around.
A minute later they span back, with new missions of all levels.
"Yes! Look at this!" said Pyro. "There's a Joy Seed reward for this one!"
"Quick, go for it!"
But just then Lucario made his appearence.
"I'll take that," he said. "Can't have you two getting any stronger than you are already, can we? Otherwise you might just win our next fight."
"Lucario," said Elektro mockingly, "we've won all our fights so far."
"... So you have. Well, we'll be having that Joy Seed anyhow. See you around, rookies!"
He and his crew left.

"How dare he? After all we've done? I mean... he wouldn't be alive if we hadn't saved the world..."
"Don't let it bother you, Elektro. The expedition will doubtless present plenty of opportunity to get stronger..."
"Hush, he's listening to us."
"Ach, so. Er kann nicht Deutsch verstanden. Also, gehen wir mit die anderen Teams?"
"Ja, wir gehen mit."
"Also komm, sehen wir der Meister."

The pair descended to the bottom floor, greeting everyone there. They entered the Guildmaster's room and presented themselves for consideration in the expedition.
"Ah, yes," said Chatot. "I was hoping you'd come. Your types might be useful. So, you want to come, you're in. We leave in a few days. You'll get a message when we're ready."
"Excellent!" exclaimed Wigglytuff. "Yes, quite excellent. With Team MasterCrew, there's nothing we can't do ~♪"
"Thank you, Chatot and Wigglytuff," said Elektro. "We'll be ready for anything! So... where are we headed?"
"It's a place so far away, it's off the edge of the Wonder Map."
"Wow! That far!"
"Yes. Blastoise will be towing a large raft with the selected expedition participants on board. We suspect there's an island out there, but it could just be a mirage. Whatever the case, we're going there to find out for sure."

Team MasterCrew took their leave and returned to Treasure Town.
"This is going to be so exciting!" said Pyro. "But we mustn't forget to prepare ourselves adequately. For a start, we'll take about twenty Reviver Seeds... just in case. We also need five Heal Seeds, ten Oran Berries, the Purple Bow and the Scope Lens. And three Max Elixirs. That should suffice, but just in case, add an Escape Orb or two to the list, and make sure we've got food."
"Yes, sir!" said Elektro. He managed to keep a straight face for about five seconds before bursting out laughing. He began to gather the items, some from Sharpedo Bluff, others from storage.

Meanwhile Pyro checked with the Kecleon Brothers to see if they had any Reviver Seeds that day, but they didn't. However, a small stock was supposed to be coming in, and hadn't yet arrived. They were quite worried about it, and asked if Pyro's team could look into it. Pyro said they'd be delighted to, and asked where the stock should be.
"It should be in Apple Woods by now, but we haven't heard a thing from the traders. I'm worried about them..."
"We'll find them. You can be sure of that."
"I hope you do."

Once they were together again, Pyro told Elektro about the Kecleon's problem. Elektro agreed they should help immediately. They readied themselves in front of the Guild and made their way towards Apple Woods.

Chapter 2: Apple Woods

Apple Woods was, for Team MasterCrew, a very easy dungeon to navigate. The Pokémon in these parts were very weak compared to them. Pyro and Elektro explored the whole of each floor, knocking out any wild Pokémon who protested with ease.

On arriving at the deepest part of Apple Woods, they found it empty. They were about to turn back, disappointed, when Team Darkness made their appearence. They had obviously been following a little way behind.
"Well, fancy meeting you here," said Lucario in a mocking voice. "You wouldn't be looking for a stock of Reviver Seeds, would you? Of course you are. Well, I'm afraid all those seeds now belong to us. And the reason I'm telling you this is because you won't be able to tell it to anyone else."
"And why's that?" asked Elektro just as mockingly.
"Because this place will be your grave!"
"Or so you think."

The battle commenced. We braced ourselves for the fight. Team Darkness all had type disadvantages to Pyro, so they would target him first. Lucario was the strongest of the trio by far, and so it was only natural for him to be the first target for Team MasterCrew. Elektro fired off a Discharge while they were still out of range of physical attacks, but the electric power was drained into a lightningrod that Lucario had just planted. Elektro ceased his attack before all his power was drained, and Pyro launched a Flamethrower attack at Lucario. The target moved out of the way just in time and the fire missed him.

Weavile and Umbreon lobbed Shadow Balls at Pyro, who took evasive action to avoid them. Soon the trees behind him were covered in black muck, but still they threw, as though they had unlimited Power Points for that attack. Eventually, however, they ran dry. Weavile blasted frigid air at Elektro, who was very nearly frozen. He broke the ice before it solidified, however, and freed himself. He knew his Electric attacks would be no good. If, however, they could remove the lightningrod from the ground, he'd be able to go full pelt.

So, he used Quick Attack. Not as an attack, but as a means to swiftly reach the rod. Lucario kicked him away, sending him flying into a tree. Pyro was duelling Weavile, fiercely launching Fire attacks while avoiding Slashes to the best of his ability. Elektro ate an Oran Berry, felt much better, and engaged Umbreon in close combat. Umbreon's fangs were recently sharpened, he saw, but then so too were Elektro's claws. He made repeated swipes. Umbreon backed away slowly, looking for an opening. He found it and lunged forward, only to be sent sprawling by static electricity in Elektro's skin. Umbreon was paralysed by the shock, and lay on the floor panting. Elektro turned his attention to Pyro.

Chimchar was having difficulty. Weavile had landed more than one hit on his body, and his blood was leaking from two or three wounds. He didn't give up, attacking and attacking again. Pyro saw Elektro approaching behind Weavile. Lucario remained silent, focussing aura energy. Elektro delivered a powerful Slam in Weavile's back. The enemy, surprised, fell unconscious beside Pyro. The team leader was weakened, but fuelled by a powerful determination. He was not gonig to lose to Lucario. Not now, not ever. He stood, ate a Sitrus Berry, and faced Lucario beside Elektro. Together, they would prevail.

Lucario stood, eyes closed, waiting. Pyro lobbed a fireball at the lightningrod and it melted. It was now too short to serve its purpose, and Elektro could unleash his full potential difference. Lucario opened his eyes slowly, and there was a deep purple glow within them. Pyro and Elektro both attacked simultaneously. Lucario avoided the fire, only to be hit by the electricity. Several thousand volts coursed through him, but to him it was better than the heat of flames. Elektro maintained his attack holding Lucario in place with the beam of current, while Pyro took aim for another Fire attack. Before he could release it, however, Lucario made his move. He flew up into the air and crashed down, a bright blue shockwave spreading from his landing point. Team MasterCrew were taken by surprise and were thrown into the trees. They weren't hurt, however, and Elektro shot off another Discharge. Lucario was unlucky, for he became paralysed. Pyro began an Overheat attack, mustering all of his power to do so. He was weakening again, but his attack was powerful enough to hurt Lucario a lot. The opponent seemed to realise that ultimately he would lose, and used an Escape Orb such that he and his fallen comrades were transported out of the woods.

Just then, something fell from the big tree in the clearing. Pyro inspected it. It was a Reviver Seed. Realisation dawned on Team MasterCrew, and they looked up into the branches: two Persian were unconscious up there, along with a trailer, from where the seed had fallen. Pyro rested from the fight while Elektro carefully got the Persian and trailer down from the tree. Using the Team's badge, they returned to Treasure Town. Pyro went to lie down at Sharpedo Bluff, and Elektro explained what had happened to the Kecleon. They were relieved to find their supply complete, and rewarded the Team with three Reviver Seeds. The Persian made a full recovery and returned home.

Pyro, however, was suffering. His wounds were infected somehow, and Croagunk examined them. He agreed to make an antidote to whatever was in there, and got to work straight away. Elektro watched over Pyro as he slept.

That is months old. You shouldn't have posted here really. On the other hand, I'll probably be continuing soon.
