Weirdest Gen. 1 Sprites!!

For me, the ugliest are I think Green Golbat, and Mew. Green Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, and Charizard are also really... strange.

Green was basically the same, though had a generally unappealing sprite set, and had a few minor changes, such as what you can buy at pokemarts and where you can find pokemon. Red and Blue hadn't a single change except for its name and where you can find pokemon. Keep in mind that American Blue and Japanese Green exist not to be the same game.

I absolutely hated the Emerald sprites. Yay, they're animated like Crystal, but done so horrible. It's not really animation... it's stretching the sprite. =/

I agree with zhe Akai. Emerald's animations suck. Spheal's little spin thing makes me dizzy, and magnemite's animation makes me want to punch it in the eye.

Crystal's animations were beautiful. I like GSC's sprites, personally. I think they were pretty. :D

I personally don't like DP's sprites. Rattata's sprite looks HORRIBLE.

Then you need m or f for male or female (use m for genderless)
Then, put f or b for front view or back view
Add an s if it's shiny
Type / followed by the number of the Pokémon (three digits)
Finish off with .png

Thanks Kaboom, but I get my sprites from pe2k and spriters-resource. On my own computer [I'm on my sister's now] I copied the sprite sheet from spriters-resource onto paint and saved it. I'll have to do that again. Akai, I could get started on the Devamp Sprite-ject of DOOM if you want. I could do, say, the starter Pokemon and evos from every region or something while you're gone.

I know an easier way. Just pull the trainer page up and find the Print Screen button (some times PrtSc). Press that button. Open Paint and hit Ctrl+V to paste. You should get your screen on the Paint. Just move and cut off the access. You may have to do this twice to get them all....

DX-MON and I worked on a code to download and copy the pictures from pokemonelite. That ran through in about five minutes.

I only need the Pokemon sprites, since I need them for my shop, and I usually only use D/P. It's just one sprite sheet. I hardly ever use the trainers because people usually request fusions, not cosplayers. Akai's been asking for trainer plushies recently, but I don't need an entire sheet for that. :P

Well, if Akai meant she wanted them local to pokezam, I can do that easily. I could download all the sprites on pe2k in about 10 minutes with one of my own scripts. Then I'd have to upload them which might take about an hour. I'm guessing this is what you meant as you both referred to me and all the game sprites are uploaded on pe2k.

That is what I meant, AND I've set up a project for "custom" Crystalized sprites from Hoenn and Sinnoh. You can also go to Spriter's Resource and ask the makers of those sheets if you can use them, unless all you have to do is give them credit. (Most are)
