Obviously I like a lot of video games so when I see this forum in particular, I realize it doesn't have much activity except a lot of old topics from Banned_User_1. Therefore I'm creating this thread to try and spark some interest in the section.
So here is a topic about Mario in general. What Mario games do you own? What are you soon to own? What are some of your most favorite and least favorite games? Do you have any Mario collectibles? Do you want any?
I like Super Mario RPG and Super Mario 64, I also of course like Super Mario Bros. 1-3. I don't have any collectibles or least favorite games and haven't found any I want.

Mario and Luigi Partners in Time is really cool! The Bros Items - especially the Copy Flowers - are real fun! The most damage I did in one attack was 365 with a Pocket Chomp, and it was going REALLY fast by the end!

I really like the Mario Party games and if you count SSBM and SSBB as Mario games they are also really good ones. I 've probly only played about have of all the Mario games and loved them all ^__^
The Super Mario Brothers 1-3 were my favorite when I was younger lol but they got too easy. . .

Awesome, I thought this thread was dead after Kaboom's reply, though it is not. Definitely, the first three Mario Brothers games were part of my childhood, no doubt. I spend countless hours in Mario 3 both in the NES version and Super Mario All Stars version.

I think that Super Mario Bros. 3 was the best out of all of them.
I only own the New Super Mario Bros. and SSBB. but mario kart racing is one of the best. But, I think that the graphics of the new one for the Wii were lacking.

I've always liked the Paper Mario Series. I also liked the more recent Mario Kart games, though the GBA and SNES versions were lacking, both graphics wise and control wise. As for the classic-style mario games, well, they're fun but they get old after a while (with the exception of the New Super Mario Bros, I still love it).

Yeah, when I played my friend's Mario Kart GBA I kept on losing control and bumping into things. But at least the control improved in the DS and Wii versions.
Oi! My 666th post!
^ Evil post! XD
I was looking at the DS Super Mario Bros. Would that be a good investment?

If you like the series, then yes. It's a great game: New worlds, and unique bowsers. Also, if you have any friends with DS's then you can play a very fun multiplayer Mario VS. Luigi in a battle for stars, and also very fun minigames. It never gets old playing the same old worlds over and over again working my way to 999,999,999 points.

To Hobbes: Yes, the control is very much improved on the Wii and DS versions I'd have to say.
To Akai: Definitely get New Super Mario Bros. for the DS; first off it's very fun and brings back a lot of classic elements from previous Mario games and... it also looks amazing on the maximum brightness level of the DS Lite.

In my opinion definitely. Its the first game I ever got for my DS, actually. It utilizes a colorful, bright, and 3D map screen while the actual levels are very entertaining. I will often just play around and goof off on it when I'm bored, even though my one file has 3 stars (so it is 100% complete, the first is for beating the game, the second for beating all the levels, and the third for collecting all the star coins). I also recommend Super Mario 64 DS, however it can be a challenge for people newer to the 3D Mario games, though for me I found it a very good way to start out (it was the first 3D MarioB game I has ever played). Obviously if you have played the original and didn't like it then you wouldn't want it either.
Edit: Oh, and hobbes' post may confuse you, there aren't unique owsers per say, but unique bosses. A short summery of the boss system can be found in the spoiler.
At most levels their are two bosses. At the half point of the level you fight Bowser Jr., who gets stronger at every world. On some of the worlds you will actually fight him two times. At the end of the worlds you will fight a boss.
1 - Weak Bowser.
2 - I don't know its name, but its a big one of those tall spike plants.
3 - A huge cheep-cheep.
4 - A huge goomba.
5 - A huge piranha.
6 - A tanked mole, kinda hard to explain.
7 - Well, its one of those things that throws those spike enemies on the ground.
1 - A Skeletal Bowser
2 - A Very Powerful Bowser and Bowser Junior
Oh, and also
The fourth and seventh worlds are only accessible by beat certain bosses as mini Mario. You can finish the game without going to them.

I second SR on Super Mario 64 DS, it was the perfect port and featured a lot of cool extras to the original N64 Classic.
I wasn't big on Super Mario 64. I mean, I liked the game, but I was a more "classic" Mario game. I'll get Super Mario Bros for the DS. My mom owes me. :D
I grew up with Mario bros... I remember Super Mario Bros. 3 was my first Video game.

Unique owsers? I thought I had said Bowsers!
I have gotten Mario Kart DS today (again) and are trying to unlock more places and characters.
Good luck. I unlocked Daisy, and I love her. ^_^
Anyone got Mario Kart Wii? My best characters are Baby Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina...

Yeah I wanted it so much I actually imported it, although it's a lot tougher I found than Mario Kart DS. The computer gets access to far more blue shells along with POW blocks and lightning bolts.
yeah, but It gives you a good challenge-- somthing I find rare in mario games... I love it, and the wifi features are awsome...

Oh I agree though it's impossible to get the three star ranking now. The best I've gotten is two stars. I know there's a way to avoid blue shells though how do you avoid the effects of POW blocks?
My mom wanted to get Mario Kart Wii for me... for a late birthday. (Yes, she forgot me.) But I opted for the other PMD2 I didn't have. =/

shake the wii remote....
Question: If you rent Mario Kart Wii, do you think you'll get the little steering wheel, or are you SOL?

I'm guessing you would as I'd imagine the game would be almost impossible to play otherwise. I can't say this for sure, though, as I don't own a copy.
Offtopic: What does SOL mean?
SOL = sh*t, outta luck ....Or that's what I'm told.
I don't even know if the video store even carries the game now.

I didn't even use the Wheel though in a rental setting, I'd imagine those things would be stolen just for the sake of stealing. Akai saying that reminded me of two video game/movie rental stores that I used to go to, sadly both of which are closed down.
One store had plastic binder like cases that had the manuals attached to them so to read the manual, you had to open the case.
Another place would charge you the cost of the game if you lost the manual. What's worse is that they'd charge you the price they paid at the time they bought the game.
I apologize for going off topic.
Nytz - Shake the Wiimote up and down or right and left? Also... I assume I do this right before the block disintegrates?

The sad part about this, some people must have lost the manuals so many times, they had to make this policy.

I don't play too much Mario, but I do enjoy Mario Party with my BFF when I am over at her house where she has a gamecube. And we love Smash Brothers.
