I'm going to start by saying, since I've completed the game and graduated from the guild, I'm going to log my story, if you will, and do May's FanFic based off my playing off of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. Yes, there will be spoilers. No, you don't have to read it. This is just something I want to do. :)

There was a bright flash of light...
"Hang on!!"
"I can't.... I'm slipping!"
"Don't give up. Just a little longer."
"I'm sorry... I can't-AHHHHH!!!...."
Another bright flash and it was all over... a lone body lay on the beach, getting lapped by the waves. The sun was setting on the friendly little village of Treasure Town. A little Turtwig watched the sun sink lower over the waters, before building enough courage to walk through the town and up to a large Wigglytuff-shaped tent. He stepped on a grate nervously. A shrill cry on an alarm sounded, "Pokemon detected! Pokemon detected!"
"Eek!" The little Turtwig yelp, running off. He ran through Treasure Town and finally stopped on the local beach. He panted wildly, still worked up from the incident. A few Krabby sat on the craggy rocks of the wave beaten cove, blowing bubbles. The orbs flicker and glow in the setting sun. The Turtwig calms down, seeing their beauty of the bubbles, smiling a little. He walks the beach a little, gasping at a new sight, a Pokemon collapsed on the beach! He runs over, nudging the tiny Pokemon, "Hello? Can you get up?"
"Nnn..... mmn...." The new Pokemon, a Piplup, stirs a little, slowly getting up. "Oo... oohh... Wh-where am I?" The Piplup looks around. 'Where am I!? I have no memory. Where is this place...' She looks around, 'And why is there a giant Turtwig looking at me.' The Piplup looks at the Turtwig. He only smiles in return, "You better? I found you collapsed here."
'He... he can talk? I can... understand him... What's going on?' The Piplup smiles uneasily, as the Turtwig continues, "My name is Twiggy. Can I ask you yours?"
"Um... Akai, but... I don't understand how you can talk. You're a Pokemon." The Piplup answers. Twiggy frowned, "Well... you're a Pokemon too..." Akai gasped a little, looking around frantically, until looking into the nearby ocean, seeing a very disfigured Pokemon, thanks to the waves. 'It's true! I am a Pokemon... but I can't remember a thing...' Akai looks to the sand sadly, sighing.
Twiggy smiles a little, "Don't be sad. I think you hit your head on these rocks. A nice meal, some good rest, and you'll be fine." Akai smiles, 'Yes... that sounds nice. It could work.' She laughs a little, nodding. Twiggy sighs, "Well, Akai, let's go. You can stay with me-eee!?" Twiggy suddenly goes flying over Akai. Two large Pokemon walk up, a Zubat and a Koffin. The Zubat flies up, "Oops. Sorry... Didn't see such a weakling in my way, heh heh..." He flaps up, landing on a strangly shaped stone fragment. Twiggy pulls his head out of the sand and coughs a little, "Big bullies!... Hey! My relic fragment. Give it back!"
"No way, wimp. We'll just take it for an I'm-sorry-I'm-so-weak. Ha-ha-ha." Koffin laughed. Zubat picked up the fragment and the both of them ran off into the nearby cave. Twiggy sniffled, "They took my fragment. Akai, you have to help me get it back! Please!" Akai was taken back, 'We just met... How can he expect me to help him...'
"Fine..." She said low, "You helped me, now I get to help you." She smiled, as Twiggy smiled. He gave a nod, "All right! Let's go." The two of them ran off into the cave, following Zubat and Koffin. Twiggy looked around, "Akai... I think we're lost."
"We can't get lost on a rescue mission."
"...Rescue mission?" He gave her a strange look.
"Yes... we have to rescue your fragment." She said with determination, speeding her run. Twiggy teared up, "Akai... *sniff* You're such a good friend." He followed her to the very end. Both of them, out of breath, closed in on Koffin and Zubat. Zubat turned around, "What?! You followed us!"
"That's right..." Twiggy gasped, "I want my fragment back!"
"Ha-ha-ha, come and get it then." Koffin chuckled. Akai stepped foward, "We have to fight you for it?"
"Heh heh, of course. We can take you weaklings any day." Zubat smiled. Twiggy flinched a little, "I'm not weak... Urk." Both Zubat and Koffin laughed. Akai growled, running to them, delivering a fierce Peck attack.
"Owowowow!! Stop that!" Koffin huffed, Tackling her back. Akai gave a yell and fell back on the sand. Twiggy gasped, running to her aid, "Akai, you ok?"
"Yeah... but they won't be." She got up, running in for another attack. Twiggy watched in amazement. "...Akai, we just met, but you're doing so much for me." He teared up, sniffling, "What a good friend." He watched as she did her best at attacking the two. Once again Akai was knocked to the ground, Zubat flying in for an attack. Twiggy gave a gasp, flicking his head leaves and calling forth a Razor Leaf. The leaves hit Zubat, sending him flying into the water. Koffin watched in amazement, "Whoa-ho-ho... Just take the piece of junk!" He threw it down, grabbed Zubat and hovered off.
Twiggy ran to Akai, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"Not really. I'm fine." She smiled. Twiggy nodded, "Thanks a lot. That fragment is my treasure. It's all the dreams I have."
"Dreams?" Akai repeated. Twiggy nodded again, continuing, "Yes. I dream to one day find out the mystery behind my fragment. Maybe then I can be brave enough to fight my own battles." Akai patted his back, "Twiggy, don't feel bad. They deserved a beating, no matter who gave it to them." Twiggy looked at her and laughed, "Yes! My thought exactly. Let's get out of this cave. I want to ask you something..."
The two of them walked from the cave. The sun was almost gone. Twiggy turned to Akai, "Well, um... I was wondering,.. Would you like to start an exploration team with me?"
'Exploration team...?' Akai gave this some thought, then with a smile nodded, "Of course. We make a great team, Twiggy. Any team that I have you on is the best one." Twiggy teared up, "Oh, Akai..." He sniffled, crying a bit, "You are truly my best friend." He walked off. Akai followed. Twiggy walked through town and back to the Wigglytuff tent. He exhaled a breath, "Akai, this is the Wigglytuff Guild. This is where all the exploration teams gather and work. Together, I know we can do it."
"Together." She nodded. Twiggy walked on the grate again, shaking.
"Pokemon detected! Pokemon detected!"
"Urk.... no, do not run away..." Twiggy fought his urge to run and remained still.
"Who is it?" Shouted another voice.
"It looks like .... Turtwig! But, wait, there's another..."
Akai gasped, 'How do they know?' Twiggy looked at Akai, stunned by the fact they knew too.
"Please, other, step on the grate.... NOW!"
Akai yelped, running to the grate. Twiggy jumped off, waiting for the verdict. The alarm-like voice continued, "It looks like.... like.... Oh dear."
"Who is it?"
"...Piplup?"
"Wait... are you asking me?"
"N-no... it's Piplup... definately Piplup."
Akai looked at Twiggy, "Are they arguing?"
"Seems that way..." He answered. The gates of the tent open, "Enter the guild!" Twiggy broke out into a big smile, "It's open! We can go in!" He giggled a little, out of pure excitement and ran in. Akai followed, seeing the huge gate close. She continued to follow Twiggy. He looked around in excitement, not even standing still, "Oh, Akai... I'm so happy..."
"You two!" Squawked a voice, "Yes, you!" A twitchy Chatot flapped up. "You two are the new ones. Well?... Sorry, we aren't excepting new members!"
"What?!" Twiggy gasped, all the excitement draining from his body. "Why... why not?"
"We just aren't~." Chatot sang. Twiggy stared at the ground, sadly. Suddenly a Bidoof walks up, "Chatot... um, golly. The Guildmaster wants to see you and the two new members." Chatot pauses mid-note and pales. He flaps off in a hurry. Akai grabs Twiggy and follows. She looks up at a large plaque over the Guildmaster's room. It was a picture of a large apple. '...Ok, this is weird.' She walks in, seeing a Wigglytuff. Twiggy sniffles, "E-excuse me..." He walks up to the Wigglytuff, who was looking away. Akai walks up and stands beside her friend.
"...Hiya!" The Wigglytuff sings, turning around, "You want to join, yes~ yes~?" Twiggy nods. Wigglytuff continues, "Good, good. More friends~! Chatot, set them up..."
"Yes... okay... Here's your Treasure pack. Now... what will be your name?"
"...Name?" Twiggy repeated. He thought for a moment, turning to Akai, "Any thoughts?"
She looked at him, "Well... um... no, nothing."
"Tell me!" He gasped, knowing she had something. Akai blushed, "Twig-Pip..."
"Twig-Pip?.... How about Pip-Twig? I like that better. Ladies first, after all." He smiled. Akai looked at him, nodding, "Yes... from now on, we are Team Pip-Twig!!"
