Does anyone own the Mario Kart games? Most Nintendo systems have one, each different. There is one for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, and soon to be the Wii. I have played the Gameboy Advance and Nintendo 64, and own the Nintendo Dual Screen version.
In the earlier games each character had fewer stats, where in the DS and I think Gamecube versions, there were all kinds of stats for each cart including Speed, Control, Acceleration, Items (how good of items you get), and Weight.
The general formula for the games is to have 8 characters from the start and to unlock more as time goes on. Each character has a few carts to choose from, more of which can be unlocked when completing stages. Typically there are 50cc (easy), 100cc (medium), and 150cc (hard) player sets, each of which include 4 levels of courses (easy, medium, hard, really hard) all having 4 courses. In the DS, there was a second set of courses easy-really hard, all of which are courses from the SNES, N64, GBA, and Gamecube Games.
So, does anyone own these games, and do you like them?
