Introduction
It is the year 4386. Most of the galaxy has established contact with everyone else. Some of the contact is friendly, but, sadly, most of it is hostile. Something to do with everyone believing they are superior. Each planet, as a result, had an army, and they frequently bashed about at each other, never with any productive result.

While the planet of Pokémon (PokéHaven) did have an army of fighters, there was also a private agent. His name was Dr. Watt, and he was a Raichu.

As a Pichu, he lost his family in an attack from another planet. He was the only survivor of the entire city, having become stuck in a cupboard moments before the attack. He had been terrified by the noise, and when it stopped he zapped the door off its hinges. Finding his parents' lifeless bodies on the floor and numerous alien spacecraft departing, he vowed revenge.

He was brought up in an orphanage in the next town, and received an excellent education due to the small fortune his parents had left him. He evolved swiftly and went on to study Advanced Astronomy, and used what he'd learned to design a hunter-class ship. It was as well-designed as he could possibly make it. He also learned the identity of his parents' killers. As soon as his ship was properly tested, he set off with the intention of destroying all of their kind. "A fool's errand," his friends had called it, but he didn't care. He set off with a desire for vengeance.

First Quest
The ship blasted through the blue vortex of hyperspace. The principle behind the drive was like this:
In physics, Space tells Matter how to move, and Matter tells Space how to curve. The Hyperdrive tells space to get stuffed, and transports ships to the other side of the galaxy in a matter of seconds.

Inside, Dr. Watt leaned back in his chair. He was pleased with the result of his ship. It flew so smoothly you could hardly tell if you were moving or not. The gyroscopes did an excellent job of cushioning the acceleration and braking. All in all, it was better than most of the ships you could buy in the biggest store on PokéHaven, the Fission Ship Shop. Also, not only did it work immaculately, it looked good too. The hull was long and thin, with a point at the front. On either side of the back end, the wings extended out a short way before ending with curved foils.

Dr. Watt checked the computer. ETA 2 minutes. That would mean that the journey, that would take light a million years to travel, had lasted five minutes in hyperspace.

Raichu made sure his equipment was ready, working in order around his utility belt. Blaster, Medi-Kit, knife, dehydrated food, mini-bombs, everything he'd probably need.

The ship exited hyperspace and the target planet loomed ahead. It was a red desert land. The thermal scanner adjusted to the planet's geotherm and sought out any anomalies that might indicate the presence of life.

As the progress meter filled, a blip appeared on the radar. The ship's scanners automatically turned on it to identify it.
ALERT: INCOMING MISSILE DETECTED!

"Well, somebody knows I'm here," said Raichu to himself calmly. He wasn't unduly worried, and why should he be? He casually pressed the EMMD button (ElectroMagnetic Missile Defender), and a red pulse emanated from the ship's hull, destroying the missile instantly. The scanners reverted to the planet, continuing the search.

After a few minutes, the result appeared on the screen.
ONE THERMAL ANOMALY DETECTED. ENHANCE SCAN?
Dr. Watt confirmed the query, and the scanners returned to the logged coordinates, using more precise sweeps to define the anomaly.

Another missile appeared on the radar, launched from the thermal anomaly.
"I think I'm onto them," said Raichu. He pressed the EMMD button again and waited for the scan to confirm what he suspected.

The scan completed and a map appeared on the screen, coloured according to temperature. Buildings were clearly visible. Dr. Watt steered the ship into the atmosphere of the planet and landed a fair distance from the city. He cautiously left the ship and began to walk to the mass of buildings, formulating a plan in his mind as he went.

He made sure nobody was nearby as he approached and entered the city. It seemed that the entire civilisation was in those walls, and there was nothing outside of them. Why that was Dr. Watt couldn't imagine. He clambered up a building, knowing he'd be less likely to be spotted if he stayed up high.

From there, he made his way to the spaceport. The building was shaped like a cresent, with the docking bays on the inside. He arrived on the roof without being noticed. All good so far.

On top of the building was a sattelite dish, slowly revolving around on its axis. That was his first target. He placed a bomb on it and primed it, before running to the other side of the roof. The dish went up in flames. Instantly, sirens blared inside the building, and red lights flashed out of every window. Perfect.

Dr. Watt climbed down the wall to the window below. Seeing the room inside empty, he smashed the window and entered, the noise covered by the siren. He was lucky, and had happened to land in the control room. He placed a couple of bombs and left the room. He wandered the corridor, looking for an interesting room to bomb.

He ducked inside one when he heard footsteps running towards the control room. He fought to control himself on seeing the enemy. He remembered the day his parents had been killed vividly. The alien entered the control room for about three seconds, then shot out again at twice the speed at which he had entered, yelling at the top of his head. Dr. Watt returned to the control room and placed another bomb, hoping he gets his timing right before returning to his hiding place.

About fourty of his enemies ran past and entered the control room.
'Come on, explode!' willed Raichu.
Just when he thought he had set the bomb for too long, it exploded, a great fireball consuming everyone in that room. Raichu almost jumped for joy, but his instinct for survival kicked in just in time: more footsteps were approaching. Two more aliens ran past, saw the fire and stopped. Raichu took out his blaster and shot them. Unfortunately, he only hit one of them. The other turned and reached for his gun, but he stopped when a laser blast from Raichu hit him in the face.

"Time to get out of this place," said Raichu to himself. He entered another room and left via the window. The roof was occupied by the enemy, so there was no going that way, short of taking them all out, which should be possible if...

Dr. Watt tossed a bomb on the roof, which exploded at the perfect time, throwing everyone off the roof and to their deaths ten metres below. The roof took heavy damage and fell in, crashing onto the floor beneath. The floor wasn't designed to withstand that and collapsed onto the floor below that, and in a chain reaction, the entire building collapsed.

"Not quite according to plan."
Raichu climbed the next building, which was thankfully clear, and began to make the return trip to his ship. The roads were filled with concerned people rushing to the destroyed spaceport, and nobody payed attention to him as he jumped between buildings.

He entered his ship and took off, then he flew low over the city and bombed the whole place to oblivion. Victorious, his thirst for revenge satisfied, he left the planet's atmosphere...

The radar picked up a dozen spaceships, directly on Dr. Watt's flight path. A mass of missiles began to rain towards his ship. Nothing the EMMD couldn't handle. He launched his own missiles, taking out six of the enemy ships before running out of ammo. At the same time, he warmed up his laser cannons and prepared to fire.

A storm of laser-fire came towards him, so he took evasive action, opening fire on his adversaries. When there was only one left, he paused a second, taking careful aim, before shooting straight through the viewscreen and hitting the pilot of the ship. The alien was fried to sub-atomic level.

Truly victorious, Dr. Watt returned to PokéHaven, his quest complete.

Little did he know that there would be consequences.
