Alexi - Zangy's long time best friend... although he's changed from the last time Zangoose saw him. He loves to eat and sleep and lay around, but he's certainly not that useless.

<Chapter One>
Zangy, finally away from Akai, happily marched to a small settlement of his own kind. The new village of Zangoose, proudly called Zan-Town was nestled at a small clearing, with the forest on one side, a little stream on the other, and across from a bridge that was recently built, mile after mile of golden plains to run around in. Zangy couldn't help but smile at the sight as he followed the path to Zan-Town. The breeze felt good running through his fur, blowing some dust around.
"Finally... Akai is gone. I'm with my own kind, and best of all, no one knows me." He grinned, hurrying to the village, until the ground under him started to shake. He stopped, looking around, "...What is this? Earthquake, from a Pokemon?"
"Zero...!" A gruff far off voice yelled. Zangy went pale, drenching in sweat now, "No..." The quaking got closer and more intense, with more happy yelling, "Zero! Zee-roooo!!"
"No, no!!" Zangy stumbled back. A large Zangoose ran to Zangy, his arms wide open, "You can back!"
"Stop, please!" Zangy whimpered, trying to stop the wall of a Zangoose about to plow him. The large Zangoose stopped in front of Zangy, clamping his large arms around him and picking him up, trapping him in a hug. Zangy gasped for breath, finally dropping to the ground, "Wh- What...?"
"Zero, I'm so glad to finally see you again." The other Zangoose smiled. Zangy looked up, nodding, "Um... thanks. Who are you?"
"Why, Zero..." He stood up proudly, poking his belly out, "I am Alexi."
"What?!" Zangy's jaw dropped, "Alexi?! ...But you're so..."
"Muscular? I know." He grinned, taking a pose, "I've been working out."
"...Muscular isn't exactly the word." He got up, brushing the dust from his fur.
"Aww, come on, Zero..." He nudged him. Zangy look up, "Um... Alexi. My name's not Zero anymore, nor ever was..." He grumbled some. "I have a trainer now, and she named me Zangy."
"Zangy..." He stared at him, stiffling laughter. Zangy glared a little, "Yes. Zangy. I like it." He picked his pack up and continued to Zan-Town. Alexi followed, "Where are you going?"
"Zan-Town. I'm staying there for a few weeks."
Alexi pranced a little, making tiny quakes, "Ohh-ohh! Stay with me, please! I have no one. Come on, ple-ease!"
Zangy gave him a stare, finally nodding, "Fine... I do need a rent-free place to stay. Thanks, Alexi. You really are a good friend." Alexi laughed happily, "Alexi and Zangy! Best friends forever!" Zangy gave a sigh, following his large friend's happy little parade to his house.
