If you would like a new user name, please post it here. I will change it to your liking. All user old user names will be displayed in your profile.

Rules: Same rules that we use for approving members, though you wouldn't know those. 1.) No symbols, just a-z, A-Z, 0-9, :, ), (, ; and 2.) Needs to be pronounceable (can't have 986ikgnrjb).

Are there any rules about how much time is needed between changes?

I would say about 1 month, but, SR needs to make that decision.

I would like to add that, but it would just make it too hard on myself if I did, so there won't be any.

Wow. Shiny Raichu is lax on this matter. Haha.

Shiny Espeon might be able to change names. Additionally, I knew of one forum that actually gave Super Moderators the power to change names, although I don't want to seem as though I'm trying to boss people around.

There should be a rule..

In order for a member to get its name changed, That member must give 5 posts for that. Which means the member needs to get 5 posts decreased in order to get a new name.

Sorry, I hadn't known posts were occurring here, names changed.

I disagree. Five is too low. Anyone can join, post spam, request a name change and then never come back again. I'm thinking around 50. I know on Proboards that each member can change his/her name at will. It gets annoying after a while.

I think if you want a name change to give a good reason. Something like "I don't like my name" won't work.

...We'll just keep it as it is.

Hmm, I do believe I can. ;)

And don't worry about feeling like an unwanted boss. Suggestions are welcome.

As for the last few sets of comments, I agree that we should keep the system the way it is now.

Since I have to talk correctly here, can I have a username change?

Just Michael would be fine. :)

Question: Is 3speon really pronounceable? What about cel3bi? Urk... would we have to change our names?

Pisaro
05-30-2008, 12:45 PM
I just read it as Espeon and Celebi respectively, so I think it's allowed. From what I know, it would only be a problem if you made your name 35p30n or C313B1

On the subject of chat-speak, it is just asked that you spell out certain words such as you over u and forget as opposed to 4get. People don't want to have to try and decipher what you're trying to say. Other forums such as Smogon have similar rules.

Hope this helps.

Oh, alright. When I say it, I say Three-speon, [lol] but I wasn't sure about cel3bi. Okay, that works, though.

Akai

*foams at mouth* I love Three-speon, but how's about Thrice-speon. On cel3bi,.... Cel-three-bi? It's kind of a mouthful, and sounds like Cell 3B... or C3P0. XD

I was thinking of changing my name.... or request a SMod color change.

LOL. I just said Thrice-speon and it sounds really cool! I'll stick with that!

Okay... when I say Cel-three-bi, it sounds like Celthrebi. And if you try it, it sounds pretty cool too. Problem solved! :]

EDIT: Problem solved with LOADS of Akai-help!

Okay, michael, I'll edit your name in a bit, as for 3speon, do you want your name changed? I couldn't quite follow.

I think she was worried about whether her name was allowed because 3 is sometimes used as an 'e' in chat-speak, and we aren't favorable of chat-speak.

Akai
05-30-2008, 05:04 PM
She was. Now we have a way to pronounce: Thrice-speon!
