Here are 2 more POTW. These will cover December's POTW absence. Next Monday I'll put another one up, probably for Rapidash. Anyways here are ones for Carnivine and Ampharos. Please discuss below.
Carnivine
Carnivine is going to be in the UU section but that doesn't mean its too bad. It has a fairly good moveset that allows it to play as a special and physical sweeper. It doesn't have incredibly good stats, just average but they aren't bad. Overall a pretty decent pokemon but nothing better than that.
Special Sweeper
Item: Leftovers/ Life Orb
Nature: Modest
Attacks:
Energy Ball
Sludge Bomb
Leech Seed
Growth/ Stun Spore/ Sleep Power/ Wring Out
Carnivine's special movepool is very limited but it can still act as a decent special sweeper. It at least has 2 good special moves for sweeping, Energy Ball and Sludge Bomb. Leech Seed in my opinion is one of the best moves in the game as it steady saps away your opponent's health while restoring yours. The last move is fairly important. I recommend Stun Spore simply because Carnivine doesn't have the speed to make good use of Growth and too many pokemon have an ability that works to their advantage when Sleep Powder is used. Wring Out might not be too powerful in certain situations. As for its nature, Carnivine needs the extra attack boost making Modest a handy nature. Any one of its items are fine. Not too bad but with its low speed and barely decent defenses, don't expect too much.
Rating: 6.5/10
Physical Sweeper
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Attacks:
Swords Dance
Leech Seed/ Stun Spore
Crunch
Power Whip
Carnivine also doesn't have a good physical moveset. This one is very risky but use Swords Dance to raise attack power. Leech Seed is recommended to recover lost HP. The last 2 moves are for sweeping and quite decent themselves. This one is much like the previous set with speed being the major problem.
Rating: 6.5/10
Sucker
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Attacks:
Leech Seed
Ingrain
Giga Drain
Protect/ Stun Spore/ Synthesis
You might have seen a set similar to this one before with other pokemon. This set is used in the same way, to sap health from opponents while gaining health yourself. Leech Seed will drain health from opponents while healing yourself. Ingrain also to heal and along with leftovers, you'll receive quite a healing. Giga Drain to do damage as well as regain health. With its last move, I suggest Stun Spore just for Carnivine to go first. Be warned tough when you use Ingrain, you can't switch out so be careful. This set isn't great but it is quite rare.
Rating: 5.5/10

Ampharos
Ampharos is personally one of my favourites. With a great HP stat and wonderful special attack, Ampharos has been of great service to me. Mainly just for sweeping, Ampharos with its movepool can cover many types. The downside about it like most electric pokemon, its defence might let it down at times. However it makes up for this with its high hp.
3rd Generation
Special Sweeper
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Attacks:
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
Fire Punch
Reflect
The really only good way to use Ampharos in the 3rd generation is this set. Use Thunder Wave to paralyze your opponent then sweep. Thunderbolt is its main sweeping move with Fire Punch as a second move for coverage. Reflect covers its weaker defence stat. Modest was chosen over Timid because Timid isn't going to make as big of a difference as Modest. Ampharos is almost too slow to gain anything useful in speed.
Rating: 8/10
4th Generation
Choice Specs
Item: Choice Specs
Nature: Modest
Attacks:
Thunderbolt
Single Beam
Power Gem
Focus Blast
A full-on sweeping version of Ampharos. Most of these moves here have 100 accuracy meaning that they're almost guaranteed to hit. Just pick out your opponent's weaknesses and sweep. This set can cover 11 different types meaning that it has a heap of coverage and plus Choice Specs, Ampharos will become very powerful.
Rating: 9/10
Special Sweeper
Item: Life Orb/ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Attacks:
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
Reflect/ Charge
Focus Blast/ Single Beam
A better version of Ampharos compared with the 3rd generation one. This one has a bit more protection as well as stability. Thunder Wave to paralyze foes and Thunderbolt to sweep. Charge raises special defence and doubles the power of Thunderbolt for the next turn. The last move is to either take care of that pesky Alakazam or Tyranitar plus any other popular types they cover.
Rating: 9/10
Mixed Sweeper
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Brave
Attacks:
Focus Punch
Substitute
Thunderbolt
Fire Punch
A mixed sweeper version of Ampharos. With the old Substitute, Focus Punch strategy plus the low speed of Ampharos lowered by Brave nature, pulling this off shouldn't be too hard. Leftovers recovers some health lost when Substitute is used. Thunderbolt is a powerful sweeping move here and Fire Punch covers some other types.
