Forum Money? They have that at the cave of dragonflies... I saw at the breif time I was there. The money was to buy stuff... permits to sell stuff like pictures... (Then the shops would really be shops) It isn't a bad idea.

Yeah, Hobbes. The money was use in shops. When I started, I have about $50 in forum money. With every post I got, let's say another $50. You keep collecting money for things like shops and pets.

About the pet, I don't know. It was new to them when I was there, but it was pretty cute. He had a few pre-set pets like: cat, dog, rat, and a few pets from anime like: Gamabunta, Pakkun, Manda, etc. There was also a shop where you can pay $100 and get your very own pet. I was going to request one, but decided against it, since it wasn't that fun. Maybe we can try that here, only with Pokemon (since this is what this place focuses on) and raise one (just one) and train, feed, whatever, and maybe battle.

Just a thought. ;)

Money sounds like a shaky idea to me. Besides using it in Art shops (my shop will ALWAYS be free to the public, btw) what would it be used for? Getting out of an infraction? Making a new thread? Oh, and if you get money because you post, this forum will become a SPAM forum filled with people wanting to post just so they can get money. Advance on the money topic so we can decide if it's positive for the forum or not. =/

As for PokePets, I think they will become a "Neopet" type thing after a while. It seems like a good idea right now, but what will they be used for? Battling and...bragging rights?

Some people can be upgraded to "Ambassadors". They won't be given powers, unless someone just wants it that way, like an everywhere Mod. But they can be here to show members around. I thought of this not to long ago, but I've forgotten to tell someone. ;)

A Mod's job is mainly to Moderate the forums.
Maybe some people who seem like good "Mod" people can be upgraded to Ambassdor and whenever they need some temp help, they can rank up for a while. There's nothing wrong with this, but I know someone is going to chime in with his two-cents.

I have a question on that. This may be just me, but a lot of forums have separate threads for each new member so you can talk just to that person and get to know them. It's closed probably a week later, just to stop it. Why is there just one huge welcome thread? I really want to get to know that person, but God-forbid that I do, since it'll called "spamming". I guess being total strangers is nice too.

Not really, I'll just make it so higher groups can mod there own threads, regular members would be a risk. However, I'm not 100% sure that this even is possible.

I personally think its a very bad idea, the mods have a junkyard board where they move threads instead of deleting them, kinda cleaner for the mods, but personally, there would be little use for it.

p.s. I know what one is, I've seen 'em make tons of mess at places like spamgarden (oh... I even use Nick's forum names).

I don't know if age necessarily matters. I think it's just a case of how someone was raised. I have noticed on this forum in the few months I have been here that bans are enforced quite well, so maybe one is in order.

Well, realize that when I first came here I was only 12, 13, soon to be 14 now. So, the best I could do would to try to find a hack where you have to provide a writing sample, though that wouldn't be necessary. Instead we could just inforce the chat speak rule stronger.

Well, unless you want Pokezam to stay at 3.6.9, that's fine. Serebiiforums has it and it's kind of like facebook/myspace.

But, it's up to you, really. I wouldn't mind Pokezam staying like this.

It will be better once I have access to better equipment (something I've been trying to get for a while). Blaziken does his Pokemon of the Week segments with good advice. Anything specific you wanted to do to help out?

As for Friend Codes, it's tough to say. Do you think we should have our own Wi-fi league? I'm interested, though I'm curious on specifics.

As for the anime. Well... it can acquired from #PocketMonsters on IRC. The problem is... the anime is rather predictable and isn't really worth the download for a lot of the episodes as I see it. In addition, the downloads are often slow from having a poor seed/leech ratio.

Vbulletin User Group Permissions can only control the usage of HTML in Signatures, I can only enable HTML usage in posts for everyone or no one.

Back in my former home site, we would have fun just exchanging FCs and Chatting, battling or trading pokemon. We would also hold Wifi tourneys for Pokemon DP, and the champion could recieve some form of trophy or reconition placed on their profile or signature. We would also form Pokemon Clans or Teams, where a group of friends with wifi and Pokemon DP can form together and compete against other clans in friendly competitions.... and that would also be great for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2.

It's all just for fun, you know? I know this place is more focused on RPs, but a wider variety of activities would also be a plus for this site.

An IM system is virtually impossible for almost anyone. It is very hard to create and can use up bandwidth quickly. The chat is close, though, as you can talk to a person privately on it.

I removed them temporally. If you can make good icons for them, that would be appreciated, but I'll be making them myself in a few days otherwise.

On the topic of the spoiler, what will happen is you will be able to specify [spoiler] for a plain spoiler, [spoiler(blue)] for a blue one and so on.

For strikethrough, just an S with a slash through it: S

For sub, have a small "sub" at the bottom of the box.
For sup, have a small "sup" at the top of the box.

For marquee, have an M with an arrow or something: <-M

For YouTube, I can make a little YouTube icon.

The others will be hard since I never use them.

Highlight would be a letter highlighted.
Outline would be a letter outlined.
Spoiler would be like a box that says hide.
H1 would be "H1" really big and bolded.
H2 would be "H2" really big and bolded.
And overline would just be a letter with a line over it.

Its impossible without a plugin for it to take over the user title in vbulletin, so where the honored staff member things used to be.

Well, the idea is for user's status to be displayed while them still being able to have a custom status.

Minor change though perhaps the "Post your Pic" thread should just be changed to "General Picture Thread" since the word "your" would signify a picture of the poster themselves.
