Pokemon of the Week

This week's Pokemon of the Week (POTW) (http://www.pokezam.com/site/potw/) is the Dark Eevee-lution, Umbreon (http://www.pokezam.com/site/potw/026.php). On first glance it may not appear like Umbreon has any good moves, but with the help of PokeZam member Legacy, there are many lethal movepools select from to decimate your opponents with.

Bonsly in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Today Bonsly was revealed as the latest Pokemon to appear in the much anticipated Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which will be released on February 10, 2008 in North America. In case you didn't know, Bonsly is based off of a bonsai tree with its body made of rocks and stones. Once Bonsly has been released from the Pokeball item, it will walk around on screen. If a player picks up Bonsly, they can throw it, but don't expect to sail far, as it's heavy. However, if you manage to strike another player, they will more than likely go flying off screen, even if they only have 50% damage. Keep in mind though that you can reflect Bonsly by putting up your player's shield.

With the latest addition of Bonsly, this brings the Pokemon total up to 26 Pokemon, which emerge from the Pokeball item. Here is a list of the Pokemon that appear so far: Goldeen, Chikorita, Deoxys, Groudon, Munchlax, Piplup, Kyogre, Torchic, Snorlax, Gardevoir, Meowth, Entei, Latios, Latias, Electrode, Suicune, Lugia, Staryu, Bellossom, Ho-Oh, Wobbuffet, Togepi, Snorlax, Celebi, Mew, and Bonsly.

Pokemon Snap available today

Just a reminder that Pokemon Snap was released today for download via the Wii Virtual Console for gamers in Canada & the United States. In case you don't remember how to play Pokemon Snap, I've included a description of the game below.

As one of the most unique games in a renowned series, Pokémon Snap was the first truly 3-D Pokémon game and introduced the phenomenon to the Nintendo 64. Travel to Pokémon Island and meet Professor Oak to begin a safari, taking the best possible photographs of 63 different Pokémon as they exist in the wild, undisturbed by humans. This is not as easy as it sounds—the island has many types of climates and environments to explore, along with secret activities and hidden passages to discover. Plus, some of the Pokémon can be a little shy and won’t pose for the camera unless you tease them with special items. After you’re done, submit one picture of each Pokémon to Professor Oak, and he’ll judge it based on size, pose, technique and number of Pokémon captured.
