How long did it take you to find either one of these Pokemon?

I found my Latias in Sapphire the day I beat the Elite Four. I just got lucky, I guess. xD

I went out searching for Latias as soon as I figured out it existed! lol. It took me about a week to actually catch it, though. Silly crimson bird runnin' from me all the time... -grumbles- lol.

I used one of two masterballs that I had. I was like "Wow" when I found it.

Wanna know how I did it?

I wandered into Latias while doing something else, so I could get her location in the Pokedex. I then flew to Mauville and checked the location, and moved around until I arrived in the same place as her. Enter battle and send out Lv27 Wobbuffet (Shadow Tag!) and used Mirror Coat on her Psychic, bringing her to the red zone. I then threw 73 Ultra Balls using Hyper Potions when required. Then Wobbuffet fainted, so I sent out Lv93 Rayquaza and threw a Nest Ball and succeeded. Expensive but it worked!

I didn't really bother trying to look for Latios in Emerald but one day I was surfing to mt. pyre and I found him. I then chucked a masterball and that was that.

Hmm.. as soon as I beat the elite 4 on emerald, I skipped all the credits and crap and hurried to the Battle Frontier, there I cloned my Masterball 5 times, then I went on the sea route and took time till i found Latios, i used MasterBall ^^, then i downloaded the ticket to catch Latias and uploaded it onto my cartridge, then found Latias and pwned it by using MasterBall, the rest mb;s were used for other legends..

well if u have GBA-SP then its ok.. but if a normal GBA then u cant
