| This episode beats the total number of episodes for the TV show "Dallas" (357 episodes), the 5th longest running TV show in history. First appearence of Torchic since Grass Hysteria!. This isn't the first time Ash and Co. are blasted off; they were blasted off in Air Time, although it was only featured as part of a fantasy sequence. |

Total Time Cut: 21 sec The opening shot has three seconds cut. Two seconds of Breloom hitting Corphish when it's protecting Torchic are cut. Ten seconds during the fight scene between Combusken and Breloom of them clawing each other; four seconds of the fight are also cut when it's shown in slow motion. Finally, the "TO BE CONTINUED..." screen has two seconds cut. |
Ash and company are still traveling to Fortree City so Ash can earn his sixth gym badge. They are currently having some lunch (with their Pokemon out) in the Shroomish Forest. Brock says that there is extra food so today is all-you-can-eat.
Corphish has eaten all of the food in his dish, but he is still hungry. Therefore, instead of just asking for more food, he takes some of Torchic's food. Torchic gets angry and starts to attack Corphish. Pikachu and Mudkip try to calm them, but it is useless. Torchic and Corphish start to attack each other with Ember and Bubblebeam, so everybody is trying to not get hit.
Team Rocket is really hungry, as they have not eaten for two days, eleven hours, forty-two minutes, and six seconds (they have no money, yet they can afford super-expensive robots; whatever!). They all wonder when they will eat again when James notices an apple. Team Rocket fights over the apple when they notice that some Shroomish behind a bush have more apples. Team Rocket just takes them.
Torchic and Corphish are still causing havoc. They finally confront each other. Pikachu and Mudkip try to calm the situation again, but they are kicked out of the way. Finally, Grovyle uses Leaf Blade right between them to scare them off.
Team Rocket is now enjoying the apples they stole from the Shroomish. Some more Shroomish drop down from a tree, but that does not scare Team Rocket. James jokingly notes that they could be charged with Grand Theft Apple. However, six Shroomish evolve into Breloom, and now Team Rocket is frightened. They run away before they can get hit.
Team Rocket runs to where Ash and company are. They notice that some stew is out, so they quickly eat it before saying the motto. After that, Max asks what they were running away from, and the Breloom show up. The Pokedex says that Breloom uses its fists to use a barrage of Fighting-type attacks.
Jessie says that the apples that they stole were no good, and this angers the Breloom. They just Mach Punch everybody causing them to blast off!
The group got separated when they got hit. Mudkip and May are on a log that is above a large crevice. They decide to not look down and climb up one of the cliffs.
Torchic is with Corphish. Torchic really misses May, but Corphish leads Torchic in a direction.
Ash and Brock are with Swellow and Pikachu. Pikachu gets on Swellow and searches the sky for the others, as it is essential to reunite before the Breloom return.
Max is with Meowth. Max yells at Meowth for causing the mess, and Meowth misses Jessie and James. Torchic and Corphish find them, so Max leads the Pokemon in a direction. Meowth says that they should wait there for others, but eventually gives in.
May notices Mudkip's fin moving. She remembers that Mudkip can use its fin like radar, so she lets Mudkip show where the other people are.
Pikachu is having no success on Swellow.
Ash and Brock come across three Breloom. Ash wants to fight them, but Brock convinces Ash to just run away.
Team Rocket also comes across three Breloom. They run down a hill past May and Mudkip and fall on the same log that May and Mudkip were on.
Max and the Pokemon keep walking. They walk right into a canyon and find much fruit. Of course, this is the Shroomish and Breloom fruit, and they are trapped, wrongly charged of attempted theft of fruit. Pikachu and Swellow arrive. Swellow gets Ash while Pikachu fights the Breloom; however, it fails. Corphish tries, but it does not do well.
Ash now stays to battle the Breloom, but the three Breloom rush in and beat him up. Brock carries him out of the mess. However, Brock falls and they roll down a hill and land on the log Team Rocket was on. The log breaks and they fall down. Brock has Forretress use Rapid Spin to save them. They walk along.
Corphish is now defending Torchic, and Torchic is touched. May and Mudkip arrive to notice that Torchic is now standing up for Corphish. It then evolves, possibly making this episode the largest number of evolutions for this season (there was one in Johto's Whirl Islands where about twenty Remoraid evolved simultaneously, which currently has the record for most evolutions ever). The Pokedex says that Combusken is now part Fighting-type.
Ash, Brock, and Team Rocket arrive onto the scene to notice that Torchic evolved into a Combusken. Combusken now battles one-on-one with the leader Breloom. Combusken gains the upper hand with some new moves like Fire Spin and Sky Uppercut, but Breloom demands that they give punches.
The two Pokemon hit each other hard until they respect each other. Meowth says that they have settled their differences. Then they plan to blast Team Rocket off, and Jessie and James unknowingly agree. Team Rocket is punched away.
Breloom and Combusken have now signed a truce and are now friends. Then everybody eats. Corphish is hungry again when his bowl is empty, so he tries to take some of Combusken's food. Combusken notices this and Corphish calmly puts the food back because it's now scared of a much larger Pokemon in Combusken.
