Winona is the Gym Leader of the Fortree Gym. Winona uses Flying Pokemon and one day hopes she can fly like her Pokemon can. Winona truly loves the sky and occasionally may give rides for kids on her Pokemon. Winona focuses on the speed of her Pokemon. When challenged to a battle, Winona usually accepts.
Ash almost loses to the Aerial Ace attack of Winona's Swellow. Ash defeats all of Winona's Pokemon and earns himself his sixth badge.
In the Games:
Winona is still the leader of Fortree City Gym. A Kecleon blocks the challenger from entering the Gym. After receiving the Devon Scope from Steven, the challenger can enter. The game has a maze. Once you reach Winona, she'll battle you. Defeating Winona will earn you the Feather Badge and TM40, Aerial Ace.
